- "This unit looked to be recently renovated. The kitchen had all the amenities you need to be able to make meals. The laundry facilities were great - in a room off the master bedroom - and actually had a dryer (not that easily found in Europe). I didn't have to use it because the day was sunny when I did laundry, but it's good to know it's there. The bathroom housed a HUGE shower. The bed was comfortable. The unit was very roomy, and there was a lovely balcony on the side of the house where we could sit and drink coffee in the mornings before we set off sightseeing. The hostess, who lives downstairs, is a lovely lady and tried hard to communicate with us in English (unfortunately, we lack any understanding of German). We loved our time here, and would definitely stay again if we were ever in the area."

Other things to note
We have two cats, Mi and Mo, who are allowed to move around freely. They stay outside at night and should not be allowed in. They should not be allowed in the guest room if possible, but they are curious and do go in, especially if the doors are left open. They can be stroked if you like, but please do not let them lie down anywhere in your room... and please do not feed them under any circumstances or give them any of your breakfast or anything like that.

The city apartment offers a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed 140x200, living area with sofa and desk system including a smart TV. In addition to a fully equipped kitchen with a Senseo Switch coffee maker, table Toast´n Egg, 4-burner ceramic hob, microwave with grill function, dishwasher, tower fan and fridge you will also find a stylish bathroom. The apartment is located in the basement and is easily accessible by a spacious staircase.

Both the Rheinburgenweg and the Rheingold Dream Loop (premium hiking trail) pass through the village.
In the neighboring village of Werlau you can visit a heated outdoor swimming pool.

By car, you can reach the sights within a radius of approx. 15 minutes: St. Goar - Rheinfels Castle, St. Goarshausen - Loreleyfelsen, Boppard - Rheinschleife.

The A61 highway and the Rhine are about 5 minutes away by car.


Public transport - Bus
The nearest bus station is 5 minutes walk away. From there, there are regular buses (lines 672 & 680) to the Rhine Valley towards Boppard (connection RB 26 to Mainz, Koblenz - Cologne) and St. Goar or to the Hunsrück, to Emmelshausen (Hunsrückbahn connection).

Public transport - train
The nearest train stop is in Boppard-Hirzenach. It can be reached by car in about 5 minutes. On foot you can reach it via a slightly steeper forest path in about 30 minutes. From here, the Mittelrheinbahn (RB 26) runs hourly towards Mainz - or Koblenz - Cologne.
