Our small Einödhof is located in what is probably the most beautiful valley in the Bavarian Forest, hidden on a mountain slope in the forest and only accessible via a forest path. Our visitors enjoy the tranquility and naturalness of the place and the cosiness of their holiday home. The massive log house offers a bathroom on the ground floor and a very large room with an open kitchen, dining area and living area. The cozy atmosphere is created by the central fireplace, the firewood is of course free of charge. The bedroom is located on the upper floor, accessible via a steep staircase in the house or via a sweeping outside staircase. In front of the log cabin there is a sheltered seating area with a sandpit and campfire area. There is a small mountain pond a few meters away. Bathing is allowed, but the water is freezing. Our hardworking chickens can, if desired, provide you with fresh, ecologically sound eggs. Pets are welcome but must be registered

If you arrive by train, we will be happy to pick you up from the train station and take you there again. You can go on holiday with us even without a car, but only if you like hiking.

The former Wagenschmiede was completely renovated in 2017 and is now available as a holiday bungalow with high quality and comfortable equipment.
At the foot of the famous Abbey Andechs and above the village of Erling, the holiday region offers peace and relaxation.
The monastery itself can be reached in 15 minutes on foot and can thus benefit from a relaxing visit to the monastery church or the Bräustüberl. Also a supermarket with own bakery, as well as a pharmacy and a bank are within walking distance in a few minutes.
The Ammersee is only 5 km away and the other 4 lakes of the Fünf-Seenland can be reached within a maximum of 20 minutes by car or on a nice bike tour.

The bungalow:
The living space of the bungalow is 55.5 sqm and is equipped with oak parquet.

The local bus stop is only 200 yards from the apartment up the hill. The buses run about every 15 minutes during the day. Wurzberg is a lovely medium size city well worth a few days' visit. The Residence, Castle on the hill and a boat trip on the Main river are highly recommended. Don't forget to have a glass of wine on the Old Bridge!"

- "Glashütten" - "I stayed at this apartment during my visit to the Bayreuth Wagner Festival. I enthusiastically recomend this option! The photographs do not do justice to this beautiful and wonderfully comfortable apartment. It consists of four very spacious separate areas: - A huge living room with TV and separate “easy chair corner” with direct access to the balcony overlooking the owner’s manicured garden. - An immaculate kitchen-dining room, complete with all appliances and tableware anyone could wish for. I particularly like the fantastic coffeemaker / grinder. - A generously proportioned bedroom with queen-size bed, also opening to the balcony. - A bathroom almost as big as the kitchen, featuring double lavatories, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Everything was meticulously clean and inviting. The apartment seems to have been built yesterday, such is the care and attention to detail the owner has lavished on this unique space. The strong WiFi allowed me to use my Apple TV on the available TV set with no problems. The area is the small residential community of Glashütten, surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of the “Franconian Switzerland” forests and hills The Festspielhaus is an easy 15-minute drive, with supermarkets and other necessities along the way. The location is perfect for exploring the region’s natural and man-made attractions, such as the stunning basilica in Gössweinstein. Of course, a rental car is required. Because of Bayreuth’s accessibility and car-friendliness, driving is both worthwhile and cost-effective. Parking is inexpensive and plentiful. I found that Parsifalstrasse, a residential street on the left side of the Festspielhaus grounds, to be a more convenient -and free- parking option than the official (and crowded) Festspielhaus parking lot, as long as you arrive two hours prior to the performance. A GPS is strongly recommended. Last but not least, I must credit the host. The charming and attentive Fr. Krieg lives downstairs and was always available to advise me on operating the apartment’s appliances and about the area’s sightseeing features. One could hardly wish for a more cooperative, sensitive and hard-working host. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit! "

Our non-smoking apartment "Fink" is located about a 7-minute walk from the town center in the Lower Market, on a quiet side street. The apartment is bright, has a beautiful south-facing terrace, and a garage parking space.

Our rental price includes the cable cars in the summer time (May-October) and covers the tourist tax, which is shown as an administrative fee in the offer (€3.80 per night, per person).

It has WIFI, a modern flat-screen TV with satellite connection, a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. A coin-operated washing machine and dryer are also available in the basement.

The only thing we wished for was an explanation of how trash is sorted and where it should be taken. This has been different in every town we’ve visited and the info isn’t very easy to find on the web (for a non-German, at least)."

The backyard was my favorite! Traveling with a two year old is hard, and having a small petting zoo AND trampoline right outside to keep him busy on both clear and snowy days was amazing! He loved the chickens and would check on them every morning. He would take our scraps and feed the ducks at the bridge across the street. He kicked a soccer ball around the yard or would make snow angels! It is gated, so very safe, and such a hidden gem. Cannot say enough great things about both these hosts and this property. Felt like a home away from home, with friendly neighbors. Would stay here again and again!"

The room itself is part of a total of about 75 sqm apartment, 3 rooms plus a large kitchen and a large bathroom. Possibly. Welcome to our small village of Westendorf with proximity to the city of Kaufbeuren (6 km), Füssen 50 km, Munich 86 km, Augsburg 65 km.
Our renovated farmhouse offers you a guest room on the 3rd floor for a maximum of 3 people with a private toilet but shared bathroom.
Arrival is generally only possible before 8 PM. Thank you for your understanding.

The space
The room is located in the attic of a farmhouse and is very large and bright. Climbing stairs via a rather narrow staircase is required. We share the bathroom on the middle floor, but you have your own toilet, also on the middle floor.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the kitchen, but we will be happy to cook with you or prepare breakfast for you (vegetarian is also possible).
Our large garden is of course also available for your relaxation.

The 25-square-meter room with a tiled stove has a double bed and a wardrobe. Kitchen and bathroom can be shared. The sunroom is my office.

The spacious 2-room apartment is on the first floor of a charming Art Nouveau villa. You can walk to the Wörthsee and also to the S-Bahn in 5 minutes. The nearest Edeka is a 15-minute walk. Several restaurants are within walking distance.
