- "We are a family of 4 (2 children aged 9 and 11) and our trip to Germany, in July, included a planned visit to Rothenburg. We had hoped to get accommodation in town itself, but I was not able to find anything on-line and so I started looking in the outlying areas. Am I ever glad that we ended up here! This house is GORGEOUS. It's on the edge of a tiny town that lies 5 minutes away (by car) from Rothenburg. The house itself is very new and has all the modern touches and décor you would want. Our apartment was a 2-bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Our living room had a nice patio with patio furniture (additional patio furniture and loungers were available in the adjacent barn - and easy to move over, if you wanted to). The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and prompt in all communication. Upon arrival we were greeted and saw that we had a personalized sign with our family name on it, outside the entrance door to our apartment. Inside, a welcome note with a jar of local honey was there to greet us. For the kids, the offer manual go-karts, ping-pong tables, bicycles and foose-ball tables in an adjacent barn (same place where the extra patio furniture is kept). Here, you will also find a well stocked cupboard with bottles of beer and wine, that are charged based on consumption, on an honour-system. Back in the main building, there is a common-room with seating, magazines and coffee-makers for all house guests to come and enjoy. It was just amazing. These hosts have put a great deal of effort and thought into putting this place together and their focus on service and amenities make this an easy 5-star review. It is our sincere hope that we get to come back here soon and next time, we will stay more than 2 nights. Many thanks for a great stay!"

There is a separate shower room. The flat was very clean but reminded me of a hostel, quite basic. The toilet room has no towel rack so the towel rests on a radiator. Beds were comfortable and flat is well situated close to old Rothenburg but I feel it was overpriced overall. "
