The walls are very beat up, the carpet is disgusting, and who ever cleans it, does the bare minimum. There were little hairs all over the place and the closet was full of dust. The baseboards have not been cleaned in a very long time. If you are tall I would not recommend the penthouse apartment, there are many low points in the ceiling where you will hit your head. The area and town were nice, and it was easy to take the bus to the train station. Also want to note, that they ask you to sweep the floor before you leave. They didn’t leave us a broom, just a vacuum that barely sucked anything up. Makes me wonder if they will clean the floor at all after us. "

- "The main room was clean and there were decent modern, cooking facilities, a dishwasher, and a fridge. The Wifi is free but the signal was weak in our room so perhaps that could be improved. The bathroom had a great shower with good heat control, clean towels and hand soap. The location is good and although it doesn't actually have a sea view, it's very near to the beach, within a couple of minutes walk. Also, loads of restaurants nearby and a supermarket for home cookers. We were there for a Caterham 7 race meeting at the nearby Zandvoort race circuit and this turned out to be around 15 minutes walk. Car parking could have been arranged for just a few Euros but we preferred to walk and cycle. All in all, I would be very pleased to stay here again if the opportunity arises."

- "It was a joy to stay at this apartment. It’s location is excellent. Two minutes from the train station, with 4 trains per hour to Haarlem and 2 trains per hour to Amsterdam. It’s also an easy short walk into center town with it’s cute stores and restaurants. The apartment has high quality finishes and is comfortable, we found everything we needed. The bathroom is large for Dutch standards. The kitchen has new pots and pans and we appreciated the sharp set of knives and new cutting boards. Wi-Fi worked fine. The landlord lives in the apartment underneath and was very kind, helping with luggage and very responsive to questions. We had a great stay in this place. The only things to note are the steep stairs (1 flight) and there’s no door between the living room and the bedroom."

We were two couples and the separate queen bedrooms were spacious and comfy. It was a three minute walk to the beach and seconds (just downstairs) to nice shops and restaurants. The apartment is very quiet and well laid out, with huge windows (airy and light). We stayed in three places in our ten days in Netherlands and this was by far the best. Besides, it has a really well appointed kitchen, with a cool chandelier for fun. We will return."
