The walls are very beat up, the carpet is disgusting, and who ever cleans it, does the bare minimum. There were little hairs all over the place and the closet was full of dust. The baseboards have not been cleaned in a very long time. If you are tall I would not recommend the penthouse apartment, there are many low points in the ceiling where you will hit your head. The area and town were nice, and it was easy to take the bus to the train station. Also want to note, that they ask you to sweep the floor before you leave. They didn’t leave us a broom, just a vacuum that barely sucked anything up. Makes me wonder if they will clean the floor at all after us. "

Tea bags were also provided as was a complimentary bottle of decent white wine, which I thought was a nice touch. The TV has a variety of channels, including all main British ones. The Wifi is free but the signal was weak in our room so perhaps that could be improved. The bathroom had a great shower with good heat control, clean towels and hand soap. The location is good and although it doesn't actually have a sea view, it's very near to the beach, within a couple of minutes walk. Also, loads of restaurants nearby and a supermarket for home cookers. We were there for a Caterham 7 race meeting at the nearby Zandvoort race circuit and this turned out to be around 15 minutes walk. Car parking could have been arranged for just a few Euros but we preferred to walk and cycle. All in all, I would be very pleased to stay here again if the opportunity arises."

It’s also an easy short walk into center town with it’s cute stores and restaurants. The apartment has high quality finishes and is comfortable, we found everything we needed. The bathroom is large for Dutch standards. Generally, all you need is close by and primarily within walking distance. So what are you looking for in your trip?

Two National Parks embed the village; De Waterleidingduinen and Kennemerduinen. So besides strolling on the beach, those are two significant areas to walk or cycle. There's so much more you can do! For instance, mountain biking around the race track, learning how to wave- or kitesurf, and you can even get your PADI. Did you know that Zandvoort also has a nude beach as well?

We also have a great race track called "Circuit Park Zandvoort" (1.2 km), Owned by a member of the Dutch Royal family. They organize many activities and festivities there, like DTM and Historic Grand Prix. Maybe you want to get your race license?

Last but not least, from Zandvoort you can quickly get to Amsterdam by public transport, which allows you to combine an exciting city trip with a relaxing getaway next to the beach.
