The walls are very beat up, the carpet is disgusting, and who ever cleans it, does the bare minimum. There were little hairs all over the place and the closet was full of dust. The baseboards have not been cleaned in a very long time. If you are tall I would not recommend the penthouse apartment, there are many low points in the ceiling where you will hit your head. The area and town were nice, and it was easy to take the bus to the train station. Also want to note, that they ask you to sweep the floor before you leave. They didn’t leave us a broom, just a vacuum that barely sucked anything up. Makes me wonder if they will clean the floor at all after us. "

This amazing property has been renovated in 2023 by the owners and you can see their loving touch in the modern but homely design and furnishings. The house gives the feeling of a tiny house as all spaces are optimally used and even though the total area is spacious, the house is spread over 4 stories.

Downstairs you find the toilet and shower room as well as the washing machine. On the first floor is the kitchen with dinging table. Zandvoort has something to offer for almost everyone. From lots of beach clubs and restaurants in summer, where you can have great food and drinks, to more quietness to enjoy nature in the winter times. Generally, all you need is close by and primarily within walking distance. So what are you looking for in your trip?

Two National Parks embed the village; De Waterleidingduinen and Kennemerduinen. So besides strolling on the beach, those are two significant areas to walk or cycle. There's so much more you can do! For instance, mountain biking around the race track, learning how to wave- or kitesurf, and you can even get your PADI. Did you know that Zandvoort also has a nude beach as well?

We also have a great race track called "Circuit Park Zandvoort" (1.2 km), Owned by a member of the Dutch Royal family. They organize many activities and festivities there, like DTM and Historic Grand Prix. Maybe you want to get your race license?

Last but not least, from Zandvoort you can quickly get to Amsterdam by public transport, which allows you to combine an exciting city trip with a relaxing getaway next to the beach.

Bauke’s Beach House is a holiday apartment situated in a former bakery dating back from 1902 in a typically old house in the cosy old centre of Zandvoort (Amsterdam Beach). It's very central situated , shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets around the corner, the beach and the direct train to Amsterdam and Haarlem 5 min from the house.
You’ll love this apartment!

The space
Comfortable 2 room (1 bedroom) apartment, with lots of privacy! It can hold two people (you are welcome to bring your child. We can provide a baby bed or an air mattress) Upstairs the apartment has a large room with a comfortable double bed with flat screen TV (no cable TV. We can provide you some TV series and movies by USB stick or you can connect your own laptop).
The bathroom is small but has a nice comfortable shower and toilet. There is a large closet in the hallway.
Downstairs you will find a kitchenette with fridge, microwave/oven, coffeemaker, tea cooker etcetera. There is a dining table with chairs, and two comfortable small chairs.

The house is very central in the heart of Zandvoort. De mainstreet with lively bars, restaurants, lovely boutiques is around the corner. As well as the direct train and busses to the beautiful authentic city Haarlem and capital Amsterdam. It takes you only 10 minutes to get in Haarlem and 25 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam! Enjoy the nature such as the beach, the dunes and bicycle tours.

Our house is next door to the Bauke’s Beach House. We are Marko and Maaike, we live in Zandvoort since 2015. We love living here. You often can find us wandering at the beach or running / cycling through the dunes. We named our apartment after our oldest son Bauke.

Zandvoort is a vibrant town in Holland located at the wonderful North Sea coast and close to the amazing ‘Kennemerduinen’ and ‘Waterleidingduinen’ (dunes). The beautiful cities Amsterdam and Haarlem are closeby. We used to live in Amsterdam and are in Haarlem often. So we can tell you all the hotspots in these two authentic cities.

The bedroom and the bathroom are upstairs. These stairs are a little steep and curved. You easily get used to it, but probably wont be a good idea if you have walking difficulties.

We live next door with two small children, you might hear them in the morning when they wake up (they don't sleep in ;-) ), when you're downstairs or when they are playing in the garden.

Our street is very quiet, but the main street with bars and restaurants is around the corner. Sometimes you hear people going home after a evening in the bar. Usually everything and everyone is very quiet.
