- "The outside of this hotel belies what is inside. Helpful and pleasant staff, with a well stocked bar and a brightly coloured restaurant. The wall coverings are very interesting and unusual in every respect. Corridors to rooms are a little tired but lead to very modern, well equipped and clean rooms. The restaurant is excellent with expertly cooked food (by Catherine) that was beautifully presented with extras not normally expected. Look at it a more of a fine dining experience! This was not expected and was very welcome. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will return."

- "A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The next day realized that the site (the garden) is well laid out and very pleasant. The patron and all the staff were pleasant. By booking ahead it wasn't too expensive. The auberge is next to a minor highway (route départementale) and although I had a room on the back side, could hear the cars a little bit. They didn't keep me from resting and sleeping though.
