I booked it based on reviews as our first time in this area as we have a business colleague in Mohali. I travel frequently in India in many of the cities and I have to say this is by far one of the best hotels in all my travels. On check-in the staff quickly changed our assigned room when it was clear the room they showed us had be used by heavy smoker. Our new room did not have this problem. We are non-smokers so maybe they assumed western folks were smokers? The staff also changed our room one night at 1 am as the men in the room next door were very drunk and loud. Our new room was very quiet. Of course drunk customers are not unusual for a hotel in any country. Overall - the hotel is very western friendly -- great food, expresso machine so good coffee, strong wifi, comfortable beds, English challenges on TV for news, sports, movies."
