One day, it rained so the radiators in our room were a god-send when we arrived wet and cold and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are in 2 storey woodland lodges which are very quiet. We used the restaurant for the buffet dinner on the first night which we considered quite pricey though all the food was fresh, varied, hot and tasty. The breakfast on both mornings we were there was again fresh and very varied. Our children (10 and 7) loved the fact that they could meet Asterix and Obelix in the hotel foyer after breakfast. The magic show for children at 8.30pm during the holidays is in French of course but our children still enjoyed it. Our only problem was that we had planned to go to Paris on our last day, our daughter's 7th birthday, since our flight home was in the evening. I enquired at the hotel Reception desk about how to arrange our transport to get back to the hotel later to pick up our case. I was told (allegedly checked on the airport website) that there are places at CDG Airport to leave your bags. Despite the fact we were very sceptical, of course, we discovered that obviously that is NOT possible. The result was that we spent her birthday at CDG airport."
