The food was incredible, they use fresh local ingredients mostly from their farm across the street, the best food we experienced during our 2 1/2 week trip to Chile. - "A" - "The hotel's location was a key deciding factor for choosing the stay. Another key factor was the description and style of the hotel, in the colonial German style of southern Chile. Both of these factors did result in really enjoying the stay at the hotel. Just a block away from the lakeside beach, and a few more from the Theater by the Lake, and various restaurants. The mirador within the hotel garden gives a fantastic view of the lake and the volcano. The hotel rooms are updated rooms and ours had upstairs bedrooms. Front desk service and information was very professional and helpful. Parking though limited for guests was streetside. We are very willing to return for another visit on our next stay in Frutillar."

The only real complaint I had, which I shared at reception and they received the feedback well, was that I placed the do not disturb sign on my door before leaving for an activity during the day; I had all my belongings spread over the room and I did not have the energy or time to put them away. - "We stayed two nights and had a wonderful experience. The room was nice and comfortable and the view from our second floor room was breathtaking. We also really enjoyed and appreciated the breakfasts! The staff was friendly and accomodating. We arrived after dark tired from a long day of traveling and were greeted warmly. When we conveyed that we'd had no dinner the receptionist shared her dinner with us. That kind and generous gesture was certainly unexpected and absolutely delightful! One thing to note is that communicating your arrival via phone or WhatsApp is helpful. We found it a bit tricky to initially get into the compound because there is a closed gate that you only can operate yourself after checking in. The good news is that the phone number to reception is posted outside the gate and staff is responsive when called. After making that initial contact we were connected via WhatsApp and that made communication so easy. This became especially helpful when we needed information about local medical services we were given a referral and offers of assistance if needed. The personal concern and homey atmosphere were comforting. Our expections were exceeded! "
