- "Our Christmas at Return to Paradise was just lovely. The property is beautiful; the staff were friendly and helpful; the little beach glorious. The owners made Christmas very special and made all of us guests feel very involved. Our beachfront villa was very clean, comfortable and spacious. There was a kettle and a hairdryer and a fridge. Plenty of storage. A comfy bed. A nice verandah to sit on and watch the waves. The little cocktail bar was great, with a decent selection. Food options are limited at the resort but served with a smile, and all good quality. My partner got injured on our last day and the staff were amazing. One of them drove us to the hospital and got help for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Our thanks to Romana, Martha and the whole Return to Paradise team for making our Christmas so memorable. The space
Our lodge is located on the Main West Coast Road, Mulifanua. Located around the Mulifanua village, you will see each day the daily lives of the local people. You can sit on your balcony and watch the fisherman go out each day, see the ferries crossing to Savaii, and wave to the guests arriving and departing Samoa via air.

Enjoy the natural sounds of village life, yes you will hear the odd rooster. As the evening sets you can generally see the Fruit Bats start to fly around relocating between trees. You can cross the road that is immediately infront of the lodge and sit by the waters edge in an open fale and enjoy the most amazing sunset.

Mulifanua lagoon has fresh water springs near the waters edge, so the colours of the lagoon change every day, depending on the weather and currents. The water is of course safe to swim in (however the sandy bottom can feel slushy under foot). Nothing a swimming noodle or floaty won't fix.

Salty Lodge is actually reopening with new owners, after the property was closed for four years. The front Hotel style block where your accommodation is located has all the amentiies you need to rest well. We have 8 rooms available, with interconnecting options. Please note the work is continuing on the property to reopen the Tropical Bungalows (some have been completed) also located on the property. We are of course mindful of our guests as our team goes about bringing the property back to full operation.

We have a reception that is staffed between 6am to 9pm, and have security throughtout the night who are also on call to assist you if required.

Breakfast is available, please advise at the time of booking if you would like to order breakfast, there is an extra charge for this. Dinners are available, in our dining fale, however we do ask that you pre order. Please send us a message for full details of meal options.

Oceanview rooms are not suitable for children under the age of 12 years of age.

We are a privately owned lodge. Please note renovations are continuing on the property. This is done with minimal discruption to our guests and done with our guests comfort in mind. The lodge was recently reopened after being closed for a number of years, under new owners. We would love to host you at our lodge and for your to be part of our journey. We are a small team, but dedicated to ensure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Oceanview rooms are not suitable for children under the age of 12 years of age.

Guests are welcome to use the guest lounge area. Complimentary tea and coffee is also provided in this area. WIFI is complimentary to the lodge guests in the lounge area.

Guests are welcome to relax in the lodges dining fale area.

We have water access immediately across the road from the lodge. Guests are welcome to sit in the fale and simple gaze out to the ocean or relax watching the beautiful sunsets.

Located within the property of Salty Lodge, Mulifanua, is this cute little standalone bungalow. Shaped in the style of a traditional enclosed fale Samoa.

The bungalow offers all the amenities and comfort you need. 1 x Queen size bed, AC, ceiling fan, large ensuite style bathroom with gas hot water, all bathroom amenities supplied, tea and coffee making facilites, with a small bar fridge.

Salty Lodge Mulifanua is a quiet property, conveniently located near the Faleolo International Airport and the Mulifanua Wharf.

Enjoy your stay in your own standalone bungalow. We have meals avaiable to purchase on site. This listing is for room only. Breakfast is available at an additional charge. We are happy to assist with airport or wharf transfers, additional charges apply for transfers.

We are quiet setting. We do not have a licensed bar on the premises. We have a small team who are dedicated to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

The bungalow is spacious offering all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.

Guests are welcome to use the guest lounge. Complimentary guest WIFI is available in the guest lounge, along with complimentary tea and coffee. There is also a microwave in the guest lounge.

Immediately across the road from the lodge is access to the ocean. We do recommend wearing of reef shoes. The Mulifanua Lagoon has natural spring water which can make the areas underfoot a little mushy, but the water is great for having a quick swim. It is best to swim at high tide. They is no lifeguard on duty.

Conveniently located at Mulifanua makes it a great location to stopover for Mulifanua Wharf and Faleolo International Airport. Privately owned lodge.

Each oceanview room has 1 x Queen bed, 1 x Single bed, own bathroom with amenities, AC, ceiing fan, coffee and tea making facilities, outside balcony area & fridge. Your room is located within a hotel style block, facing outward to the ocean. Booking is for room only, breakfast is available at an extra cost.

The space
Our lodge is located on the Main West Coast Road. Located around the Mulifanua village, you will see each day the daily lives of the local people. You can sit on your balcony and watch the fisherman go out each day, see the ferries crossing to Savaii, and wave to the guests arriving and departing Samoa via air.

Enjoy the natural sounds of village life, yes you will hear the odd rooster. As the evening sets you can generally see the Fruit Bats start to fly around relocating between trees. You can cross the road that is immediately infront of the lodge and sit by the waters edge in an open fale and enjoy the most amazing sunset.

Mulifanua lagoon has fresh water springs near the waters edge, so the colours of the lagoon change every day, depending on the weather and currents. The water is of course safe to swim in (however the sandy bottom can feel slushy under foot).

Salty Lodge is actually reopening with new owners, after the property was closed for four years. The front Hotel style block where your accommodation is located has all the amentiies you need to rest well. We have 8 rooms available, with interconnecting options. Please note the work is continuing on the property to reopen the Tropical Bungalows also located on the property. We are of course mindful of our guests as our team goes about bringing the property back to full operation.

We have a reception that is staffed between 6am to 9pm, and have security throughtout the night who are also on call to assist you if required.

Breakfast is available, please advise at the time of booking if you would like to order breakfast, there is an extra charge for this. Dinners are available, in our dining fale, however we do ask that you pre order. Please send us a message for full details of meal options.

The 3 star hotel with 15 rooms was opened in 2018 co-located with a Health Specialist Centre. The hotel was meant to support the development of specialist medical services in Samoa. During the COVID pandemic with zero tourism, the Medical Centre sustained the hotel. We have added 8 self-contained apartments and a five bedroom house since.
Since we are 5 minutes walk from the hospital and surrounded by 5 top restaurants, we are popular to those who work or visit the hospital.

The Two Bedroom units are spacious, cozy and comfortable and ideal for families.
All units are self contained with all the modern kitchen amenities. Units are located on ground floor, second floor with mountain views and one unit is located on the third floor with great mountain views and panoramic ocean views.

The Two bedroom units are our most popular rooms at the hotel. Ideal for families and groups. Best part the guests love is the big spacious rooms and the beds are so SUPER comfortable!

All the guests have access to the BBQ area near the pool which also has the teppanyaki grill table!
The reception area also has some board games for the kids they can borrow free of charge. There is also a little book shelf guests are welcome to have a read through.

Swimming pool is opened from 7am to 7pm but please note Sunday is off limits due to neighbours request to keep the noise down.Samoan families go to church on Sundays and we regard this day very sacred so to show respect to the neighbors, we agreed to close the pool on Sundays only.
