They were also delighted watching the crabs scuttle between the rocks. A highlight for me was the theme dinner nights, adding a unique and enjoyable dimension to my stay, and the pricing was very reasonable. Saletoga Sands is a family-oriented resort. While there's a delightful splash pool and playground for children up to about 8 or 9 years old, most guests congregated around the separate swimming pool. The addition of ride toys for young children and a water slide into the ocean by the owners was a really nice touch. Even though I wasn't daring enough to go down the slide, I appreciated the creativity it brought to the property. The limited internet availability posed a challenge for my husband, but he didn't mind sitting in the lobby to stay connected, whereas I saw it as an opportunity to read a good book. Overall, Saletoga Sands Resort exceeded my expectations with its thoughtful amenities, family-friendly environment, and unique touches that made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this resort."

This is your home away from home in Apia. The main bedroom has air-con while the second bedroom has a fan. The kitchen comes equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave and stove as well as the things you’ll need to cook your own meals.
The open plan living area has a lounge with plenty of seating and a dining table for meals or just hanging out. We also have a full bathroom in the apartment with a hot shower.

Our property sits in a quiet neighborhood inside a fenced and gated compound with a few other houses. The houses are spacious, fully aircon with a full kitchenette, huge parking space and conveniently close to supermarkets and town!

Remember this is a tropical island when many mosquitoes, if youre planning on relaxing outdoors then we recommend long sleeve clothing's and insect repellent to avoid being bitten!

Our Downstairs Garden Unit 1 is well lit with 2 doors to enter and exit by. It is tiled throughout, with a queen-sized bed. Ideal for a couple although a single person stay works just as well. Utilities included in price.

You will share the courtyard and parking area with other guests entering or leaving the property. Noise is kept to a minimum, so we expect guests to have peace and quiet for resting.
Windows are screened for security and keeps the flies and mosquitoes away

The space
Apia CBD is only 10 minutes drive away. There is a Convenience Store just across the road, and a bigger grocery store (Myna's) 5 minutes walk down the hill. Another 20 minutes walk will take you to the sea wall along Beach Road in Apia. Along this walk you will pass several other stores, Samus fish and chips, Robert Louis Stevensons National Museum, Hair Salon, Vegan cafe, Giordanos Pizza, Internet cafe, and other useful places. If you turn left at the gate, you will firstly come to The Shrine of the Three Hearts Parish, and drive for another 25 minutes to get to the sea on the opposite side of Upolu from the town(Apia). There are lots of beaches and waterfalls to see here. We will provide a tourist map so you can find each day to visit.

Hosted by Josefina and Talalelei, take it easy in our humble home in the traditional village of Salua, Manono Island. Access to Manono Island is by boat from Manono Uta wharf in Upolu Island. Your room has a queen-sized bed, a dressing table, coffee table and chair. The ocean is right outside the front door. Much of the time you spend here, you'll have the home to yourself. There are no cars and dogs allowed on the Island so it is the perfect place to experience serenity and nature at its best.

The space
Our home has large spacious rooms. The toilet and shower are outdoors, detached from the house, and for your private-use only. All kitchen appliances (kettle, electrical elements, toasted-grill appliance, gas cooker, mini fridge, cutlery, plates, bowls, pots and pans) are available to use. Water is collected from the water tank adjacent to our home.

Other things to note
Manono is one of the islands located in the Apolima Strait in Samoa, approximately 4 kilometers from Samoa’s main island, Upolu. There is clean sand everywhere and stunning views of Savai'i, Upolu and Apolima as you walk around Manono Island. It takes at least 1 hour 30 minutes to walk around the Island, on the well-maintained walking track. There are historical sites like the Grave of 99 Stones and the ancient star mound atop Mt Tulimanuiva, which you can visit during your stay. You can also do spearfishing, snorkeling, swimming, surfing, kayaking and other water-activities, in the ocean.

The boat trip from Manono-Uta wharf on the western side of Upolu to Manono Island, takes around 20 minutes to the island. Boats tend to not run on a strict schedule, so it is advisable to just turn up at the Manono-Uta wharf and ask an operator on-site when the next departure is. There are usually several departures and trips can cost between ST$5 if you’re sharing a passenger boat with other people to around ST$50 to charter a boat.

There are about two shops - where food and other general household items are sold - on the Island. These shops are located in the village of Faleu located, which is on the other side of Manono Island. It is strongly recommended that you bring your own food and drinks, from Upolu Island to Manono Island, as resources are limited.

The villages in Manono Island are traditional so we ask that you please be mindful and respectful of their customs and practices. Some include abiding by the villages' dress code (wear a lavalava or lightweight sarong), behaving quietly and moving slowly through villages, removing your shoes before entering a fale (a house), abiding by a village-curfew (you can enquire with the locals about this), and asking for permission before taking photos.
