The very friendly and helpful receptionist asked if we would like to enjoy a free upgrade to a ‘Regent Suite’ which is a 6x upgrade from the standard room we had booked! We eagerly agreed and made our way up to the 4th floor and had our luggage brought up to us. The room was huge and had a living room/office, a wc, a large hallway, a massive double bed, a bathroom with a double bath (almost a swimming pool!), two sinks, a separate shower room and another wc. The complimentary, luxury toiletries were most welcome and the slippers and robes were perfect. All the rooms were incredibly well equipped and were finished to the highest specifications. On the first night, my wife found that the bed was a bit too hard for her liking, so we asked at reception if there was anything they could do to help. Yet another very well mannered receptionist said she would get someone to put a mattress topper on to see if it would help. By the time we had finished our breakfast, the topper was on! My wife and I slept extremely well from then on. The breakfast was excellent and had something for everyone. Everything was always full and fresh. Once again the service was exceptional. The location is perfect for visiting the old part of Dresden. We had never been to the city before and are very glad to have made the decision to go. The hotel team were very helpful in recommending things to see and places to go. "
