But late opening is nice due to heat of the city so allows relaxation. Breakfast buffet manager Prabha Kant ensured I got my eggs royale every morning. Near to markets, shops, facilities and bus stop that takes you direct to main train and bus station in 5 mins. Lots of cheap restaurants near by. Away from all the tourist trap nonsense. Manager Mittu Alex was helpful in all my queries. Only problem is that the hotel requires a re-decoration as the decor looks tired. Otherwise, cannot complain about the price and facilities. "

Although I booked through Expedia, wasn’t informed hotel that the booking didn’t account for my child, and the hotel initially requested an additional fee. Fortunately, the manager handled it professionally and efficiently, allowing us to enjoy our stay without further issues. One word of caution: be careful when booking through Expedia. I tried to contact them about the discrepancy, but received no response. Based on my experience, it might be better to book directly with the hotel to avoid any confusion. Overall, Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel exceeded our expectations, and I would gladly stay here again. They also arranged all our trips and tours with private air conditioned car and driver guide. We visited Temple Elephant parades, Tea Plantations, A trip to the tip of India where the Oceons meet and a spectacular boat trip in the Back Waters all recommended by staff. The hotel public areas and our rooms were spotlessly clean and my room was spacious with fine shower suite and access to a veranda overlooking the Arabian Sea and beautiful sandy beach. Location was central for lots of shops and restaurants but also quiet and peaceful. Can’t thank staff enough, they looked after us very well. Harrie booked or train for our onward journey to Kochi and was there at the station when we arrived by taxie. He accompanied us to our train carriage and ensured all was good for us and we knew where to go when we arrived at Kochi for our further stay there. We will defiantly be back and HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO OTHERS. "

The building is all traditional Kerala, lots of dark wood, and a very amusing lift playing Tamil music.
