It's a sixth generation family run operation and a gem. We stayed in a suite, and it was roomy and homey at the same time. Nice appliances in the kitchen area, and rustic but solid furniture. The head chef (one of the family members) whipped up a great meal of trout salad for me and dumplings for my wife. This hotel is also located in one of the most gorgeous places we've ever seen. There is easy access to the Umbraille pass, which leads directly to the Stelvio summit and pass. We highly recommend the hotel and area."

We arrived at 3PM to find the place locked up tight without a soul around. After we sat in our car for two hours someone finally drove up and let us check in. Breakfast had very meager selection. We stayed in ten different hotels on our Alpine vacation, and although this one was one of the most expensive it was by far the poorest, and the only one we cannot recommend."
