It is located an 8 min walk away from the town’s many attractions, set in lovely grounds with ample parking. The restaurant itself is atmospheric and cleverly adapted to link to the extended area of the historic structure. We stayed in the coach house , adjoined to the main manor and it was beamed and v quaint, with its own car park. The room was one grade up and well worth the extra charge. My only criticism is the £7 overnight parking fee. Even Guest houses in town don’t charge and their spaces are v limited. A small but irritating detail in what was otherwise a perfect stay. "
