If you feel like visiting the surroundings, the center of Amsterdam is 45 minutes away by car. Leiden and Noordwijk are 7.5 mi from the accommodations. The surrounding area offers many bike routes. Our room, on the first floor was perfectly adequate and a local restaurant only 500m away was recommended and the food was delicious.Unfortunately the next morning when my husband asked for the wifi code, the staff member said she was too busy to find it - she had breakfasts to prepare….(continental breakfast, meats/cheese already on the buffet, the hotel only has 7 rooms, but she was even too busy to be polite.)Hot chocolate for breakfast was not possible and the only tea was Earl Grey - these days all hotels have a selection of teabags...but not here. The hotel states that it provides toiletries which it did….. But one ‘one portion’ sized shower gel for 2 people for 2 nights is less than I expected.So, our stay at this hotel which started so well will, for us, unfortunately be remembered for the wrong reasons. A real shame as it is an ideally situated hotel in a beautifully peaceful area"
