Rooms were a good size and bathroom area large, minor issue with glass fronted toilet door, could close but no lock and gaps around door. Not happy that whilst tea and coffee facilities provided, charge of 1 euro for replacement tea bag & coffee tube meant we simply purchased our own at vastly reduced cost at supermarket located next door in shopping centre. - "We had a lovely ocean view. The dining room was exceptional 5 star food. There’s a small menu at the bar available during the day which was convenient. The hallways were a bit dark and a long walk to the elevator. The open bathroom with motorized roller may not be ideal for everyone wanting more bathroom privacy but otherwise the room was clean and ample storage & luggage space. They charge for the Nespresso pods in the room which is a bit cheap but there was a bottle of mineral water which we appreciated. We had our engagement photos taken at the waterfront. - "Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and top level service " - "The place has a lot of history and the staff is very nice. There were no VIP benefits at all. I don’t think they even knew about Expedia VIP. Breakfast is o.k. Bar service and tapas were very good. pizza o.k, pasta not so much. Because of an AD accommodation the hotel did offer a room in the “main house” however it has step to the bathroom and smelled stale and dusty, and the window was tiny , the room didn’t look inviting at all. The other rooms in the spa area were bigger and clean. It’s a long walk however to get anywhere from that part of the hotel. One minus which the hotel should invest in, Nespresso machines in the rooms! This is the first hotel we’ve stayed that doesn’t have Nespresso machines in the rooms for a morning coffee! (Nescafé with hot water is absolutely not an acceptable alternative) The reception, restaurant and bellboy staff were outstanding! "

I had inquired for various services and the staff were so prompt with their responses. The moment we arrived, they immediately took care of us especially traveling with a toddler. They got my daughter a teddy bear when we checked in. They let us check in early and they prepared a really cute crib with baby toiletries and baby slippers! It was a really nice touch. We also dined at their restaurants for most of our stays including the Gastronomic Restaurant. Everything we ate there is delicious. The breakfast buffet was impressive and the the Gastronomic experience was amazing! We also had requested for an onsite babysitter so we can celebrate our anniversary. Thank you to Mariana. She was an absolute sweetheart with our daughter. I can go on and on how wonderful this place is. Yeatman is voted one of the best hotel in Portugal and it exceeded our expectations. Housekeeping brought up two beds for our dogs and treats. They also offered bowls but we had brought our own. We were also given a bottle of champagne and offered two drinks at the bar. The bed was very comfortable and I slept quite well. Everyone at the hotel treated our dogs like celebrities. We were even able to bring them downstairs for breakfast and dinner because we had them in a stroller. The breakfast buffet is great. The bread that is served at the hotel is amongst the best I have eaten in my life. The staff was so accommodating and professional. One person asked us where we were going for the day and offered us lunch suggestions. The manager also comped our parking fees for each day because of an unfortunate experience we had at dinner. They also left a card in our car wishing us a safe journey and provided a bottle of water. Great staff and accommodations!"

5 - Natural Reserves
Natural Reserve of Rocha do Navio
Located in the municipality of Santana, north coast of the island of Madeira, the Natural Reserve of Rocha do Navio was created in order to protect the natural legacy of this coastal area. It emerged in 1997, driven by the will of the local population to conserve the impressive diversity of marine fauna that this space hosts. This Reserve, delimited between Ponta de São Jorge and Ponta do Clérigo, comprises a total area of 1710 hectares. Being exclusively marine, the Rocha do Navio Nature Reserve covers the seabed up to 100 meters and the islets of Rocha das Vinhas and the Widow. Thus, the conservation of fisheries and maritime resources is an undisputed priority here. By accessing this area, through the Rocha do Navio Viewpoint, by a path or by the cable car, you will then have the opportunity to quietly contemplate this natural scenario of great charm. In the flora, the endemic species that beautify the cliffs stand out. In addition, this space houses a potential habitat of the monk seal (Monachus monachus), known as the fur seal. Framed by the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean, the landscapes you can access in the Nature Reserve of Rocha do Navio are punctuated by the vibrant presence of life that here multiplies and conserves in the wild.

6 – Parks and gardens:
The Madeira Theme Park combines the didactic aspect with an entertainment aspect for the whole family, where you will be invited to learn about the history, traditions and customs of the Madeiran people. Located in Santana, the Park has a vast cultural offer that includes visits such as the Village of Typical Houses of Santana, Quintinha, Viagem Fantástica and the Junior Pavilion.
The embroidery Madeira and wicker, as well as a traditional grocery store and an old kitchen with wood oven where the typical bread of Santana is made. In Quintinha you can interact with various animals and rural activities that were once part of the daily lives of Madeirans.
