- "Overall, the property was very clean and very nice. I have been to other properties where the pictures end up being fabricated and manipulated to make the property look better. This one was not necessary, everything was as described and as show in the photos. Very happy with how our stay turned out and Jesse was a great host, very helpful and very quick to respond to any query. In addition, the amenities were a nice to have already there. The only downside, for us at least, was the queen bed mattress on the main floor. A little uncomfortable for our preference. The Host is thereby free of all cancellation penalties and can then offer the property for rent immediately to other persons as desired.
-A $500 security hold will be placed 2 days prior to arrival and released 7 days after departure, if no damages are reported and booking not cancelled.

-This is a vacation rental, not a long-term rental.
PARKING: Do not block driveway. Garage (2 vehicle), shared driveway (4 vehicles), free street parking (4PM – 7AM on week days). Free street parking 24 hours on weekends. No street parking within 12 hours of an expected snowfall of more than 2 inches or until the snow has been removed.
-No street parking when posted on 1-2 parade days/year. Parades may start by 8-9 am or 12 pm and will block Old Grand Ave for 1-2 hours. Be sure to move your car off property beforehand or you will not be able to leave until the parade is over.
-Gurnee Days Parade 2026, Sun. Aug. 1-15th TBD at noon. Note Gurnee Days Festival 2026 Saturday August 1 and 14 TBD.
-Warren High School Homecoming Parade 10/04/2025 at 9 am, staging at 8am.
-Snowplow and snow shoveling services automatically start with 1.5" of snow and occur anytime overnight and during day according to snow depth. Please do not block driveway and snowplows.
-Violations of rules may result in immediate reservation cancellation and eviction at host’s and/or rental portal service’s discretion.
-Host may occasionally be on site and a neighbor parks his car onsite so please do not block the driveway or garage
-No refunds will be given for issues that arise if the host isn’t notified & provided an opportunity to remedy the issues.
-We have security cameras on, located on house corners, doorbells, garage, & 1 tree recording the exterior including doors, deck, windows, garage and parking. No cameras look into inside or are located inside the home. Non recording Minut noise monitors are on, in living room & upstairs hall inside.
-One Minut noise and smoke monitor in living room and one in upstairs hallway, i.e. common areas, not in bedrooms or baths. Both units are on and do not record audio, only monitor sound decibels.

The bedroom has windows looking onto nature with grasses and trees. The living room has a hammock, reading corner and lots of books. There is a beautiful wooden dining table where you can take your time eating breakfast and staying later to do some reading, work, or browsing on your laptop.

Sunny and spacious one-bedroom apartment filled with plants and artwork. Located on the second floor of a two-flat in UIC area. The bedroom features a queen-size bed (medium-firm), feather and down pillows, down duvet, and cotton sheets. The bathroom has all your essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath towels, hand towels, bath mats, and a hair dryer. The kitchen is equipped with all the basic cooking equipment, a microwave, a tea kettle, a coffee grinder, a Bonavita Coffee Maker, an Aeropress, and roasted coffee. The dining room table has a printed house manual that includes my contact info, emergency contact info, Wi-Fi password, check-out procedures, details about the neighborhood, and local recommendations.

The apartment is filled with natural plants. Please be kind to them. Please note, I have security cameras in the front and the back doors for security purposes. Street parking can be found on the main street and some side streets, but do read the signage, as some streets have parking limits or are residential permit parking only. I share this house with my parents who live on the 1st floor.

This newly remodeled chicken coop turned into a 2 bedroom A frame home is 50 miles from Milwaukee, 47 miles from Chicago, and 10 miles from the Naval Station. We are a couple minutes away from City of Hope, Six Flags Great America, Bristol Renaissance Faire, Great Wolf Lodge, American Place Casino, and the beach. There is also a Target and Starbucks down the road, what more can you ask for! The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and narrow so please be careful. Please enjoy the home to yourselves

The space
Have you ever wanted to stay in a newly renovated cozy chicken coop? This 2 bedroom 1 bath home has a cute study with a variety of books. please feel free to enjoy the books during you're stay. In the living room there is a nice 75 inch TV and a cabinet full of board games and puzzles. Full kitchen with pots and pans to make a whole meals from scratch, or just heat up some left overs. The coop has farmhouse feels with barn doors, hardwood floors, and special decor. Our neighborhood is not hooked up to city water so we are on a well, which has high iron content. There are water bottles and a Brita available should you not like the well water.

The coop is located near heavily wooded areas and we're mindful of the little visitors nature sometimes brings. We use preventative measures to manage any common rural area concern.

The yard to the left of the house is where the fire pit is located. There are foldable chairs under the coat rack in the house that you are more than welcome to take out to the pit. That is a shared space with the neighbors to the right, so don't be shy if you see a fire going and you want one too. :)

How to Get Around:
During rush hour times, going south on Lewis may be difficult. Alternate route, continue down Leland – turn right on Pine, right on Beach Rd. This will bring you to a stoplight.
Metra Train Transit to Chicago and Chicago north shore suburbs: Metra station is located near Sheridan Rd and Washington St near downtown Waukegan. Parking is available.


If you are visiting on weekends during mid-May through mid-October, don’t miss the huge Farmer’s Markets in downtown Kenosha! They are every Saturday from 10-2 and feature hundreds of farm-to-table vendors, food trucks, crafts, and much more! Parking is free.
