Very comfortable bed, great safe neighborhood, and close to many major employers. I often host consultants for big companies around the area.

The Woodland Guest House is uniquely located within a forest setting, and on a major road 10 minutes drive to downtown Libertyville and the Chicago train line.

The modern apartment suite shares one set of doors with the main house, a 1908 farmhouse. It combines peaceful silence with modern amenities, and is full of character. On three acres of oak savannah, with small footpaths, it is certified Open Lands Property.

The space
The largest room is the living room, a spacious, high-ceilinged room surrounded by glass windows and doors that open onto the wrap-around deck and parkway. With an electric fireplace at one end of the room and an entertainment set with TV on the other, the space allows for cozy and elegant days . The Murphy bed opens on the back wall, adding the gift of a private view onto the gardens as one wakes.

The full bathroom includes a walk-in closet, two antique vanities, a tiled shower with light filtered through trees, and a vintage claw-foot bathtub offset in one corner of the room.

The kitchen is nestled under maple and pine trees. It enjoys afternoon sunlight from windows over the sink and by the door.

Finally, the hallway doubles as a library, with glass doors opening onto the deck and into the parkway. Sit on an old wooden bench and lose yourself in a book or a view, or grab the picnic basket to head outdoors.
