"The Scandia House Loft" was a labor of Love, it took two years to restore this former house of Pleasure. In the process of restoration we discovered old coins, whore house tokens, old newspapers ,wooden nickels and other artifacts. Welcome to your Downtown Private Retreat. Since 2017, we have hosted guests in our one-of-a-kind cottage accommodation. The 1930s stucco home is truly centrally located and entirely restored with plenty of character, inside and out.

Explore the riverfront downtown and surrounding hills on foot or set off on day-trips in any direction. Driveway parking is included. Let us know if you want to reserve that for your stay.

There is a comfortable queen bed in a separate bedroom, spacious bathroom with stall shower, and a living room with twin Chinese lounge beds that have 5" high density foam cushions, a dining worktable with 4 chairs, 2 Mid-Century style chairs, and various storage areas. Internet is available, and 32" TV (with Netflix only), central air-conditioning or heating with a thermostat in the hallway (we need to make a switch between the two though). You will find an unusual assortment of antique furnishings from around the world and an amazing meditation room.

The tiny kitchen space has a refrigerator freezer, 2-burner induction cook-top, deluxe 5-in-1 wall oven, an 18” wide dishwasher, and cabinetry. The appliances have important instruction guides ......OR plan your retreat from the kitchen too!

Only steps out the door, there are many surprisingly diverse dining and entertainment options: coffee shops, restaurants, trails, and other local gems. Visit the international award-winning 2022 Public Library of the Year, an excellent resource with spectacular panoramic views. Grocery stores and laundromat are also nearby. University of Montana and St. Patrick Hospital are both within walking distance. Highway access and airport are not far.

Guests have private access and use of the main floor space via the steps or concrete ramp in the photos and plan layout. The entry door keypad code is changed after each guest. And there is an additional privacy lock, once you are in for the evening.

Enjoy quiet days and star filled skies In this 1200 Sq Ft, two Bedroom, two bath Home. Its approximately 3 miles off the paved road in a private spacious county setting . This home is a prior Grandparents house, attached to the owners house BUT with entirely private entrances.
One large master Bedroom with a King Bed, rocking chair and a full bathroom. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, chairs and has an attached full bathroom. A large kitchen including a dishwasher, Keurig and drip coffee makers as well as everyday use amenities. As a notice of advice, this home is situated in the Sapphire Mountain foothills. From late October till Spring thaw an AWD or 4WD vehicle is advised. The roads are maintained and plowed as it is a residential area but a good traction vehicle is advised.

Our cozy, fully self-contained 750 sf private guest home retreat is attached to our main home and sits in the middle of 20 lush acres bordering US Forest Service land & is located just minutes from Lost Trail Ski area, rivers/fishing, lakes & hiking. It has fantastic views of mountains, pine trees, wildlife & the beautiful horses in our pasture. It features a queen size bed w/a super comfy mattress, couches, fully equipped kitchen, bathtub/shower, laundry, deck, WIFI, HD TV and access to the hot tub on the back deck. We can set up a sleeping mattress next to the bed if you are a couple with a child. Please Note that we live in the main attached house and there is sometimes noise coming from that room from somebody watching TV or playing pool at the pool table above your head. Sage Cottage is in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, close to hiking and biking trails and a scenic drive. It is less than 10 miles from the Bitterroot River. Our garden has over 38 bird species that guests are welcome to enjoy.

When you book with us for short- or long-term stays, utility costs like electricity, garbage, and Wi-Fi are all included.

Bill and I steam clean the floors and sanitize and polish all surfaces between each stay. We are proud of our sparkling-clean rating.

The kitchen is equipped with dishes, silverware, and utensils, as well as an electric stove/oven, a full-size refrigerator, an instant pot, a microwave, a coffee maker, an espresso machine, a coffee grinder, a toaster, cookbooks, and pantry supplies. It is tiled with an Italian ceramic backsplash. We have our hand-blown glass drawer pulls (blown by Bill in our blown glass studio) on the cabinetry and a touch of our art throughout the Cottage. When building this Cottage, we had fun adding our artwork to it.

A washer and dryer with complimentary, natural laundry soap is just off the kitchen.

The bedroom is warm and inviting, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and bedding, latté colored walls, espresso lamps, and chocolate blackout curtains. Along with the 40" smart TV, it has a writing desk equipped with writing paper, Sage Cottage postcards, coloring pages for the young and young at heart, and colored pencils.

The living room has a futon that folds into a queen-size bed for extra guests. The dining room table features tall chairs, allowing you to see the windows better and enjoy the views. A smart TV on the wall between the living room and kitchen swivels to be watched from either the living room or the kitchen.

The full-size bath comes with complimentary soaps and shampoos. It includes an inviting tub with pebbled beach tile on the floor, Tuscan-type tiles on the walls, and a lighted makeup mirror. A linen closet in the bath supplies extra towels and linens. Our hand-blown glass drawer pulls on the cabinetry add to the artistic elegance.

This Cottage has a private driveway for our guests and a front entrance with a digital keypad on the door for self-check-in.

360-degree views can be enjoyed from this location, with the kitchen window looking out to the Bitterroot Mountains and the living room windows providing an idea of the Sapphire Mountain range. Feel free to stroll in the surrounding gardens in the spring and summer. If you would like a tour of our gardens or workshops, let us know, and we would be happy to show you around. Our Cottage is located overlooking the town of Hamilton on part of a farm over 100 years old. Some of the lands are still actively used for farming.

When we designed this house, we added Wi-Fi connectivity to two flat screens and smart TVs, allowing guests to watch complimentary Netflix and network channels. It also features a wireless sound bar that connects to handheld devices or laptops, allowing users to stream music. Additionally, music can be streamed through either a smart TV.

Outside, behind the Cottage, is a hot tub with spectacular views of Montana's big sky. Relax and watch the clouds roll by during the day or the stars at night.

Our home is nearby, and we love meeting guests, but we also respect their privacy. We are full-time artists and work out of several shops on our property. We are happy to show our guests our workspaces, but only if they request it. We respect their privacy and understand that some guests prefer to relax and enjoy the place by themselves.

Even though we are 4.5 miles from the main thoroughfare, it feels like you’re out in the country! Some of the wild animals that have crossed this property are deer, fox, coyotes, and turkeys. The occasional bear, mountain lion, elk and moose sightings have occurred.

There are many hiking and biking trails nearby or enjoy a day paddleboarding, floating or fishing the Bitterroot River! We are just 8 miles from Lolo, the gateway to the Bitterroot Valley, and about 45 minutes away from Lolo Hot Springs.

Please note the owners live in a permanent residence that is shared with the property the cabin sits on. This is a privately gated, semi fenced-in property consisting of 5 acres. Aside from an optional and quick walk-through or a question that needs to be answered, we’ll let you be! You’ll probably see us working on the property or catch a glimpse of our kids, dogs and cats running around (in addition to the neighbor’s kids and dogs!).

We call this apartment our Casual Contemporary, located just one block from downtown Hamilton. With the budget traveler in mind, this stylish basement apartment has a spacious and open floor plan that is comfortable and well appointed.

The kitchen is the heart of this apartment. As the photos show, it has a practical and roomy layout. The smooth concrete countertops incorporate a large bar stool type dining peninsula that can easily seat four people. A microwave oven, toaster, and and blender, along with many other needed cooking items can be found in the kitchen.

Our main focus in the renovation was to create an “open and well lit environment" and to be able to offer a more "budget minded option" for travelers. Visitors often do not notice that this apartment has only one existing window, yes only one! Through thoughtful planning however, we have created various lighting options throughout the apartment where guest can easily adjust the lighting for different settings; let it be soft warm lighting for a romantic dinner or something more casual as a natural daylight feel. The west wall even has a faux backlit window which gives the feeling of natural light. Being that this is a basement apartment please be aware that you may occasionally hear some creaking from the floor above you, somewhat typical for a building built in 1895.

This large studio apartment measures over 750 square feet with ten foot ceilings in the main living areas. The living room has a 48 inch T.V.
There are two large closets for storage, one is at the entrance area and is great for jackets and outdoor gear, the other is located in the bedroom area.

The bedroom setting is semi private, meaning there is no door separating it from other rooms. A queen size bed is fitted with a soft comforter and four pillows. The large grey metal (file) cabinet (as seen in the photos), serves as a roomy dresser.

The bathroom is accessed through the kitchen area. We hope you find it to be warm and well appointed. It is supplied with towels and toiletries.

The apartment has a private outside entrance which is located at the back of our building. Convenient off street parking is just steps away.

The WESLEY building is located on quiet South 3rd Street, one block from Main Street. Our location is just steps away from downtown, yet it still offers easy access to mountain trails, winter sports, or perhaps a fishing adventure. Hamilton’s best restaurants, from casual to fine dining, are within a short walking distance. There is also a grocery store conveniently located one block away.

Simple bedroom, a queen bed, tall table with 2 chairs, chest of drawers, a love seat . Now we have a small refrigerator, microwave and a hot plate, toaster, blender, Keurig and water bottle and some supplies. The room is named Lilac Heaven because the owner has 13 varieties and 33 bushes of lilacs. These were planted in honor or her mother and grandmother. If you come between the end of April and the first of June you will see the blooming. Some of the pictures in the room are of her lilacs.

This studio is in a completely separate detached residence on our property which also houses our main house. The studio is about 100 from the main house and sits back on the property which makes it far enough away from the main residence to give you a private setting. The patio to the Airbnb faces away from the main house.

The studio apartment layout is an open concept with a large queen bed, a large sectional, 3 piece bath with walk in shower, dining table for 6 and a large kitchen. The added amenities of a 50” TV with streaming access - all you have to do is log in. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, HULU, HBO to name a few. Just log-in! We also have extremely high speed WIFI which is wonderful for all your at home work needs. The kitchen is equipped with a great assortment of spices, flour and sugar along with pots and pans for all your cooking needs. You will also find a keurig to get your trip started off right. Why not have a coffee on the outdoor porch to start your day!

The studio is close to many stores to meet all your needs - Fresh Market, Walmart, Petco, etc. Instacart also delivers to our address for Costco, Target and Albertsons which makes your stay very relaxing if you don’t feel like going into town.

On the property, feel free to experience our 7 acres that backs up to another 30 and gives you access to seeing foxes, deer, elk, and/or wild horses on the
property.

Other things to note
Dogs are welcome but they need to be house trained. We will charge a fee for damages. Please also keep them off the furniture. We did provide you with a dog bowl onsite for them, hiking water bowl, leash, and dog poop bags for the local dog parks, etc that require your own bags. There are some treats in the apartment for your sweet pup too. There are also lots of areas to walk your pooch as well and I can provide a map.

Cats are not allowed period and no smoking is allowed either anywhere on the property either.

We are very familiar with Missoula and surrounding areas and can recommended places to go, eat, experience, listen to music and grab a great Montana brewed beer if desired.

We travel a great deal with Airbnb & VRBO and also can recommend places in other cities in Montana, the states and around the world!!!

We have a home in a comfortable, centrally located area of Missoula. We redid the daylight basement for a separate AirBnb space. It is nice and light and bright. You have your own entryway. Your space also has a mini fridge and a hot water teapot.

CLEANLINESS
We have adopted the AirBnb best practices for cleaning. We have an extra day between guests to ensure we have time to be thorough.

The space
There is a soaker tub, closet with chest of drawers, old china hutch with an assortment of books, guidebooks and maps.

It is our belief that a basement should be the best space in the house. It is the most quiet and when the windows are open you can hear the gentle sounds of a happy neighborhood. It is the coolest space in the summer and coziest space in the winter. It should be absolutely clean. You should be able to walk on the floor in bare feet and have that be a great experience. There should be no odor of cover up perfumes, but rather smell of clean.

I've always loved Tolkien's description: "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort."

We absolutely want you to be comfortable.

Please be aware of two things about the space: 1. There are stairs down to the space. There is a handrail but for people with back, hip or knee problems, it may be slow going up and down. 2. The soaker tub is deep and therefore has higher than normal sides. For people with stiff joints or balance issues, it may be difficult getting in and out of the tub.

You can access the laundry area, which is in the basement with your guest space.

If you wish to use the washer and dryer, please ask us first so
a) we don't have it full of laundry and
b) we can explain some of the eccentricities of the washer

Other things to note
You have a parking space on the left hand side of the driveway, in front of the single garage door. Your entry is a keyless pad on the right side of the garage door. We will give you the code when you book. Enter through the garage door. You will see the entry to the house and two garage door buttons -- you want the the one on the left. You will immediately see the stairwell down to your space. The bedroom space is unmissable.

Our place is very comfortable and it has everything you'll need to make your stay away from home feel like home. Private room with queen size bed and private bath. High speed internet access. Access to the living room with a small kitchen and a tv. If you're coming to see friends, take a family trip up to Glacier National Park, or just coming to explore, we are only 2 miles from the I-90.

The space
Clean, with a lot of open space! Great patio from which you can enjoy the view. Great location that is not in the middle of town, but sitting on the hill overlooking the valley so its nice and quiet. It is conveniently located by being minutes from down-town, the airport, and I-90.

Guest will have access to most of the lower level of our home. You will have your own entrance, washer, dryer, T.V viewing area, and a small half kitchen with fridge,
microwave,sink, coffee pot, toaster.

Experience the heart of downtown Missoula in this studio apartment located on the Hip Strip! One of the best locations with bakeries, breweries, great restaurants and entertainment venues just steps away. Walk out your door onto the Clark Fork Riverfront Trail and watch the surfers on Brennan's wave. Caras Park, The Wilma, The Top Hat and Farmer's Market are all within a few blocks. Walk 8 minutes on the trail and explore the University of Montana campus.

The space
The Penwell Building was originally an old hotel built in 1910. Its purpose was to serve passengers from the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad (the Milwaukee Road), which began passenger service in 1911.

The building has 35 apartments of which 13 are Airbnb studios.

Other things to note
This unit shares dormitory style bathrooms/showers that are cleaned daily by onsite janitor. We have 35 apartments and roughly half of them have private bathrooms and half share 4 bathroom/showers in the building (2 toilet rooms and 2 shower rooms per floor). There is no elevator in the apartment building. There is a steep flight of stairs you must climb to get from the street level to the second floor.

Come stay on our quaint little homestead. We have a small 3 1/2 acre organic farm specialized in flowers, floral design, eggs, herbs for tea & fresh use, veggies, & handmade herbal soap.
We are located in Corvallis, the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, with the beautiful willow creek running through our property. Excellent views of the Bitterroot’s , & Sapphire mountains.
You will have a whole guesthouse to yourself, and a beautiful farm to cast your gaze upon. Endless hiking minutes away!

The space
You can enjoy your experience in this great region in your own private studio guest house! It has everything from a gas stove fire place , a small rustic kitchen that used to be a commercial kitchen for tamale production called Molly’s Tamale’s, and a full bathroom. No WiFi, disconnect and smell the roses! No air conditioning, most of the months in Montana are quiet cool. The space is small but accommodating, with seating, a day bed for sitting or to use as another sleeping arrangement, and plenty of storage for your things. Parking for a couple vehicles out front, and simple seating in the back to enjoy the views. This is a shared property, so you might see us around!

Guest access
You will enter and have full access to your own house ( the guesthouse) to the left of our home. You can use the backyard that is fenced in behind the houses, there are some lawn chairs in the back of the guest house for your use. You are also welcome to walk down and enjoy the creek outside the gate around the house, beware of the electric wire on top of fence. We own the property all around the creek to the fence. Always shut the gates when entering and leaving areas of the property. Please do not feed chickens without permission.

Other things to note
Always ask permission to pick or take products and produce from the farm. If you see a black and white tuxedo cat walking around that is Oliver, he is our very friendly 11 year old farm boy, but we would prefer him to not enter the guesthouse. Always keep an eye out for small children, cats and chickens while driving on property. Thank you!

You'll feel right at home at our ranch style house at the base of Mt. Sentinel and Pattee Canyon. Our house provides access to miles and miles of trails for you to run, bike, or hike during your time in Missoula. After a day of playing you are a short walk to our local neighborhood taphouse, Cambie, or a short ride into downtown. If you are planning on heading down to the Bitterroot, our house is a perfect launch pad to get out of town quickly.

The space
Our home is your home while you’re here. The house has a fresh coat of paint inside and outside, a new deck out front, native landscaping, and a brand-new hog wire fence out front. We also remodeled one of our bathrooms (pictures coming!) and put up a brand new cedar fence in the backyard. In addition to these renovations we have a large deck out back with plenty of room for yard games, a Camp Chef Pellet Grill, and fresh fruit and veggies growing for you to enjoy.

Inside our house is cozy and full of light. You'll be surrounded by windows and succulents. Our kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and maybe more importantly creating the perfect cup of coffee. You'll have access to both full bathrooms as well as the two bedrooms upstairs and the finished basement downstairs. There is a third bedroom, but it is our young daughter's, so it is not included in your rental.

With the exception of our daughter's bedroom, the house is yours!

Other things to note
Like many homes in Montana, our house does not have AC. We will have box fans available for you for all bedrooms. The basement stays nice and cool and the nights in Montana tend to be super pleasant. We also love recreating in and around Missoula, so if you have any questions about things to do, we would be happy to answer any questions you have!
