From the hand built cabinetry, the masonry work, the hardwood and quarry tile floors, the handrailings, to the one-of-a-kind log spiral staircase, the craftsmanship is apparent and admirable.

The cabin has been decorated and tastefully outfitted with carefully selected authentic antique furniture and real hand-knotted Persian rugs to create a truly "turn of the century" ambiance, but still has a modern kitchen and bathroom for your comfort.

The kitchen offers a whole array of authentic Griswold frying pans and skillets, and the kitchen "gadgets" have been gleaned from antique stores all across the west; most were in use from the 1920's to the 1950's. No plastic utensils allowed!

The Hermitage is situated on the edge a Ponderosa pine forest, full of deer and wild turkeys and other assorted animals; it is honestly a joy to hike through the forest and explore.

The Hermitage is licensed and inspected by the state to insure your safety and comfort. In this time of Covid-19, the cleaning crew has concentrated on disinfecting the hard surfaces, and we provide a hand sanitizer for your use, as well.

Privacy and seclusion is assured, as no other structure can be seen from The Hermitage as it is at the end of a new, all weather 300 yard private driveway.

Picture yourself sitting on the back balcony with a drink in hand, reflecting on your long day of either exploring, fishing or floating one of the several nearby blue-ribbon rivers, grilling steaks (or your fresh catch) as the sun goes down and observe the deer head back into the woods and watch the wild turkeys roost in nearby trees. Just before dusk the nighthawks swoop down for your amusement. After dinner on the back deck the stars glow brightly in the crystal clear air and the constellations dance across the sky.

Quiet family-oriented neighborhood. On the weekends you may see kids selling lemonade on the street corners, playing in the large open areas, riding bikes, and walking dogs.

You’ll be staying and have complete access to our main floor house thats 20 months old, supremely clean, in pristine working order, and only cleaned by natural cleaners sans harmful chemicals and fake aromas, for your safety and health. We can't control what soaps/detergents/perfumes guests use in the house though. Single attached garage for vehicle security and ease of cold weather traveling.

In kitchen cabinets are cooking pans, cutting boards, knives and utensils you should ever need! Kitchen has a new complement of Samsung Appliances at your disposal makes cooking or saving/reheating takeout a breeze! The electric sliding garbage drawer is a handy kitchen secret!

Comfy leather couch and loveseat in well lit living/kitchen/dining space are great for taking a load off and chatting with your group, or even an afternoon nap before going out at night. Fast Wi-Fi and streaming services on TV in living room even has optional games to stream; Also board games and children’s books as well as some novels are available for those less interested in screen time.

Enjoy my charming 1930's Cottage. Located in a walk/bike friendly tree-lined historic neighborhood with so many great downtown locations nearby.

My home has the classic character of a 1930's Craftsman home with modern updates that make it feel warm (or cool in the summer) and comfortable. I think you'll love the open floor plan of the common living areas. It's my hope that you feel at home in my home. The backyard and back patio are just off of the kitchen and make the perfect space to enjoy a morning coffee or a warm summer evening. Additional bedrooms are available should you want to reserve more than one bedroom for your stay.

This room is located in the basement level of the home. The laundry room is located on this same level and the basement stairs lead you right up into the kitchen. This room has fresh carpet and paint and a new full bed. This is a spacious room with plenty of closet space.

The Carriage House ( built in 1904 from brick, by the Moss Mansion)) was Horse stall and Carriage garage renovated in 2017 to a quaint apartment in the historic district. Includes off street parking! Keyless entry. Great access in any direction. This 1st floor accommodation includes washer/dryer access, Satellite 55" Smart TV and Cable wi-fi. Separate bedroom has vanity and closet with extra bedding and blankets. 2nd guest/$8 a night. No pets without consent in advance of booking
