Our house was completely remodeled in 2017, creating a stylish open plan living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, a granite and stainless steel dream kitchen with two sinks and a huge island for cooking and conversation -- and four bar stools for breakfast and snacks. We have a big stainless refrigerator with an ice maker, a microwave, a 36-inch gas range, blenders, coffee makers, a full set of top end cookware, good knives, and china, cutlery and glassware for eight or more.

The gathering area next to the kitchen has a wood stove for cozy ambiance in colder months. The decor in the living and dining areas is mid-century modern, heated and cooled by a brand new heat pump. The living room has a leather couch and ottomans, five comfortable chairs, marble and brass side tables, great lighting and a separate reading area. The brass and glass dining table seats 8.

We have a new flat screen smart TV, and full internet service and wi-fi.

The master bedroom has a king bed and a big ensuite bathroom with a heated tile floor, marble counters, and a large walk-in shower with two shower heads. A second large bedroom has a queen bed, and the third and fourth bedrooms have twin-size daybeds with twin-size trundles. These three bedrooms are served by a new hall bathroom with a tub and shower, lots of counter space and seamless surfaces.

Outside two sets of sliding doors in the living room is a covered patio with a table and six chairs, a gas grill and a gas-powered fire pit. We have a wood fire pit and outdoor furniture in the backyard, and a basketball hoop in the driveway. The main garage holds two cars. There is unlimited outside parking. A mudroom entry is accessed from both the front parking area and the garage, with storage for cleaning equipment and house-keeping essentials.

We have a gorgeous office/laundry room, with an ironing board and iron, and a big table for folding clothes and doing crafts. For remote work, we have a computer desk and office chair and a printer with paper and ink.

Over the detached shop is a game room with full-size pool table, dart board, game tables, sound bar and small refrigerator -- perfect for the big kids.

The house is on 13 acres of evergreen woods -- you may see deer and barred owls, and in the summer pick apples and blackberries. We are minutes away from classic bike and hiking trails, such as the 30-mile Burke-Gilman Trail.

The nearest supermarket and gas station are less than a mile away. You will be six miles from downtown Redmond, home of Microsoft headquarters, a Whole Foods, a Costco, a charming world-class shopping center, and a variety of dining spots from McDonalds to gourmet Northwest cuisine. The house is 15 minutes from Woodinville, the Northwest's premier winery destination, with 140 wineries, wine bars and tasting rooms, including the iconic Chateau Ste-Michelle and its musical performance venue. There are artisanal breweries springing up as well.

Downtown Seattle is 25 miles away, and there is a frequent express bus from downtown Redmond. SeaTac International Airport is 30 miles from Redmond.

The guest suite occupies the West side of the house and has its own separate entry. We share the building and live on East side of the house so we are a quick text away to offer help and local advice if desired. You will have complete privacy during your stay.

Please note: Outdoor furniture cushions are brought in during winter months. Backyard is a shared space however, it is entirely yours during your stay.

*Our suite is professionally cleaned between each guest, windows are kept open during cleaning and if weather permits windows can be left open for arrival as well for additional ventilation. We have an HEPA air filter running upon your arrival. Our cleaners sanitize all surfaces that guests touch and wear masks and gloves during cleaning.

*A/C and heat are central which can be controlled via an app on the suite tablet. We also provide an additional space heater for guests in case it is needed in the winter months.

*There are security cameras in the front and side areas of the property as well as the guest suite entrance.

*This property is located in a quiet neighborhood. Therefore, it is not suitable for parties or playing loud music.

We get occasional power/internet outages. If this occurs, our electrical generator will be turned on in approximately 10-15 min, however the internet may not return for several hours as it depends on the cause of outages.

Cell service by our property maybe weak. However, guests can connect to WiFi for better cell service.

A bright country cottage designed for optimal serenity and relaxation. Enjoy this completely remodeled 1914 cottage, fully equipped for those looking for a quick getaway or a longer transitional stay alike.

The Dahlia House is in a rural setting with a view of a seasonal farm growing raspberries, winter wheat and corn. This makes for wonderfully open views across the valley into the foothills. On a sunny day you can even see Mt Rainer.
The space
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, dresser, walk in closet and large smart TV ready for you to log in to enjoy favorite streaming services.

Bedroom 2 has a full bed with a smaller TV equipped with an apple box for streaming.

Also located in bedroom 2 is the ladder that leads to the third bedroom/loft, a nice kids hang out and slumber party zone. (please assess you child's ability to safely navigate the stairs before use)

The living room couch with a pull out trundle bed for 2 more additional sleeping areas.

Although there are beds to sleep 8 please consider the house is 1025sf with one bathroom. Recommended maximum is 4-6 people for comfort. Dahlia House does have a tankless water heater for a ample supply of hot water.

The glowing wood interior and windows extend from floor to soaring ceiling inside this cozy yet luxurious treehouse. Tucked away on thirty forested acres, the airy interior is comfortably furnished and bursting with natural light.

Access to the treehouse is off the deck 150' behind our home, with a very easy 55 foot suspended walkway/bridge among the trees.

The treehouse is an open-space room surrounded by expansive windows with views of the forest and a private pond. It provides a comfortable queen bed with high-end linens, a reclining couch, and a twin bunk bed in the loft, accessible by ladder.

There is a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig in the kitchenette area, and a cafe dining table that seats three. Your complimentary continental breakfast is served via a 150' zipline from the main house.

The treehouse is surrounded by an expansive deck and crow's nest (40 feet high). Each overlook the private nature preserve pond that is home to blue heron, frogs, and especially beavers with the main beaver hut visible from the deck!

There is a private outdoor shower accessible off the deck, as well as a half bath (toilet and sink) attached to the other side of the treehouse.

Across the pond is the Emerald Forest and Theater featured on another episode of Treehouse Masters in 2018 ('Climb-in, Drive-In Theater'). Based on availability, you may explore this beautiful forest and theater as well. It is an easy 1/2 mile walk on a flat trail! Your treehouse stay does not include the use of the ziplines to the Emerald Forest or the use of the theater/projector in the forest.

This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Other Things to Note:
Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times. (please let campkeeper know if you are bringing a dog) We are a working farm and we have guardian dogs to protect our alpacas (they are within the fenced pastures). TALK TO COMPKEEPER REGARDING SPECIAL DOG RULES!

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

- "A peaceful retreat on an alpaca farm within the forest. The property manager was so helpful and great at communicating! Fully equipped for a fire with some s’mores supplies thrown in! Would definitely recommend." - "I drove from Montana to visit a friend in Seattle and had been looking at places to stay in the Snoqualmie area to enjoy the sights. This was a great "glamping" setup and was very convenient for me traveling alone. It is very close to a couple homes so you have people within 100 feet of the site which was ideal for me for safety but maybe not for a large group or someone with dogs seeking privacy. I did not get a chance to meet the lamas since I arrived after 3pm and left before 9am and didn't catch Shari in time, but I did ones in the pasture on my way out of the gate. The only thing I would say needs to be added to the description is that there is $35 fee for bedding in the main tent and a $10 bundle of wood you can add. It was a bit sketchy paying those out of pocket upon arrival but overall it was such an easy stay and a cute setup that I wasn't mad. I would visit again!"

Easily walkable to all the spots in the town of Carnation and a 15-30 minute drive to some incredible hikes in Snoquamie and North Bend, plus there’s a really cool Mexican Market right across the street. Plenty of room and great amenities including a fire pit. Would happily stay again!" - "Our host was fantastic and was really accommodating. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

- "Location was wonderful. We spent several days touring Seattle and it was nice to come back somewhere quiet. There was plenty of sleeping space and plenty of lounging space (42 chairs). The home was missing some basics. Trash bags, dish washer detergent, access to a broom, coffee filters and the last one wasn’t listing as an amenity (not sure how we missed it) but there was no washer and dryer. Over all a great stay make sure you leave time to explore the locally."
