It’s just a number floating in the email. Your parents will not figure this out. Also no hand soap in the bathroom!? Just some soaps for the shower. Please put hand soap in your bathrooms. Other than that, place was clean, had a few snacks in there. Once more annoyance, the windows are painted shut so you can’t let the breeze in. Sure use the AC. well that thing barely put out any air. Stuff room. This place is picture friendly but not hotel friendly. 2 stars "

- "Very cozy apartment in a beautiful area. In 5 minutes walk a small city park. The apartment provides every detail, the kitchen has everything you need. The bed is comfortable, linen and towels are clean. Upon check-in we could not immediately figure out how the air conditioner works, despite the fact that it was quite late, they helped us very quickly. From the minuses I can note that the house is quite old and in the apartments a little squeaky floors and badly closed door to the toilet. But the pros are much more! Our home is nestled in the ever popular Chantilly neighborhood, between Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood! It is also central to Midtown and Uptown! Totally walkable and bikeable. Beautiful homes, walkable streets, distant train whistles, large trees, friendly neighbors, quiet evenings, and a plethora of restaurants, shops and coffee close by!! The Charlotte Greenway trail runs in the neighborhood and is perfect for biking! Located close to the major Charlotte hospitals as well.

You'll love the front porch swing, adirondacks in the yard, and back deck with patio seating, string lights and gas grill.

The house was built in 1934 so some floors are vintage, the bathrooms are from that era, but the house is newly furnished, newly painted and newly stocked to be your home away from home during your stay! Brand new mattresses (one plush; one firm) and plenty of pillow options will let you get a fantastic night's rest (along with blackout curtains!). Comfy couch, swivel chairs, and a 56" SmartTV will allow you to relax in the living room for the evening. Our furniture is brand new, so please use the provided blankets if your pup is a bed/couch sleeper...we prefer that dogs are not permitted on the furniture if at all possible; if they are bed sleepers, we ask that you bring your own old sheet or blanket to cover our white bedspreads! Our home is in a family neighborhood, with quiet hours after 9 pm. Please be respectful of our neighbors! We strictly prohibit parties and/or events of any kind and limit the home to our registered guests for overnight, but visits from immediate family in the area are welcome!

House is equipped with a 24/7monitored security system by CPI Security. The system consists of a doorbell camera and a right-side back yard camera along with internal motion detectors, window and door sensors and glass breaks (only active when the system is armed). Currently, the sliding glass door in the kitchen is non-operable and access to the back patio is through the laundry area door.

Guest Access:

You'll have access to the entire left side of the duplex. There is a door in between the two sides of the duplex, located in the hallway, that is always locked and soundproofed for the guest's (and our own) convenience. The backyard has yet to be renovated, but we keep it mowed in case you'd like to use it for any reason.

Other things to note:

My wife and our two children (2.5 yrs old and 4.5 yrs old) live on the other side. You'll more than likely see us coming and going as we try and keep up with our kiddos! Feel free to say hello!

Throughout the renovation, we tried to do as much as possible to limit the transfer of sound in between the two sides but, as you can imagine, it's nearly impossible to limit ALL sound. So you may hear our kiddos before and after school. But we try to keep things as quiet as possible.

We've maintained the character of this historic 1920's building, while completely updating and renovating the interior. This first floor condo has large double-hung windows that let in an abundance of light in all the rooms. Additionally, the original refinished hardwoods, bathroom tile, and two-panel doors provide the charm so often absent in new construction.

The recently renovated kitchen features with stainless appliances, and is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The adjacent dining room comfortably seats four with all the place settings. Ample storage in the apartment makes it ideal for long-term guests.

A desk and ultra-fast Wi-Fi enable business travelers to stay plugged into their busy schedules.

The main bedroom has a king-sized bed with a television and a generous closet which includes plenty of clothes hangers, an iron, and an ironing board. Furnishings may vary slightly from photographs as we periodically update. The bathroom has modern bath fixtures and tiled walls and floor. It is spotless and features plush towels. Included in our amenity package are a starter supply of Nest bath products as well as detergents.

Situated in historic Elizabeth, our residence is conveniently located a few steps from Hawthorne Avenue, the heart of Charlotte’s health care district. Plaza Midwood and Uptown are a short ride away on the streetcar. Located in the stately Milton apartment building, this recently refurbished first floor condo in the desirable and walkable Elizabeth neighborhood. This incredibly safe community provides an ideal place for walking or jogging and is just a short stroll from Charlotte’s most vibrant night life.

Within a half mile walking distance are more than 40 locally owned 40 restaurants (Italian, Mexican, Cajun, and Mediterranean). For breakfast, walk past Starbucks and try Central Coffee or Villani’s Bakery. Our favorite full-service spots include Customshop (local cuisine), Cajun Queen (Louisiana soul food) and Intermezzo (Italian). If you are looking for local gems, check out The People’s Market, Menya Durama (Ramen), and Moo & Brew (burgers). My favorite BBQ joint is Midwood Smokehouse (but this is a touchy subject in the crossroads of BBQ). Have a beer at Legion Brewery, a drink at the infamous Thirsty Beaver (Mick Jagger’s favorite spot), or a cocktail at the Crunkleton.

On the ‘Plaza Piazza,’ you will find many locally owned shops including antiques, fine gifts, wines, and bespoke clothing for men and women. Elizabeth is also a neighborhood with a vibrant nightlife. If you’re looking for an exciting place to stay in Charlotte, you’ve come to the right place.

Pet Policy: We are a dog-friendly home! No other animals are allowed. If you are traveling with a dog, it must be registered at a cost of $59 per dog (two maximum). NOTE: please follow the instructions in the reservation confirmation to register your dog. If you do not register your dog, you will be charged $120 per dog. Dogs are never allowed on the furniture or bed. If there is hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, damage, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged an additional fee. If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.

- "At the very end of a dead-end street, theres zero traffic. We heard a train (in the distance) once in our 5 day stay. But that was it. Great little spot for a family of up to 5. It is the ground level of a 2 story home. So you will hear the occasional footsteps above. But accessible for people with disabilities or those that have issues with steps. There is no TV. Which could be seen as an issue, or a perk. The host was very personable and accomodating. Everything was simple, from check in to check out."
