- "I don't generally leave reviews, but this particular property definitely deserves comment! Most of the other reviews comment on the location by the river and that is certainly true. Not being familiar with Reno, we were a bit concerned as we were driving up to the property; however, once we entered the premises any concern disappeared. We've stayed in our fair share of VRBO's but I will say this was my favorite here in the US. Hands down! Sign me up, I'd move in! The unit has been recently renovated and everything inside is clean, new and tastefully done--the furniture, the artwork, everything. Also, the owner leaves the most professional information/instruction binder I've ever seen in a rental. For those concerned about beds, these are new memory foam mattresses and they were very comfortable. I prefer a soft mattress and have shied away from memory foam, but this changed my mind! For those concerned about noise with the train tracks being close by, we didn't find it to be a problem. We are "early risers" and I think the first train went by around 6:30 am. We had the windows open so we heard it, but with windows closed it wouldn't have been too noticable. My compliments to the owner--well done and VERY much appreciated!!!"

Please note that Reno area is a ski destination and skiing comes with snow and road closures, we wait the entire year for the snow and skiers so that we can balance our income and run our rental arbitrage business, visitors needs to be prepared for harsh weather conditions and they should always check the weather forecast and plan ahead, be prepared start your travel early in the morning if you can to make sure you will get to Reno before the Sun Set when the weather starts being harsh, be prepared to have AWD/4WD vehicles with tire chains and longer travel times (sometimes over 8 hours) or rerouting to get here sometime from a longer route.
So please be prepared because we can’t provide refunds for cancellations due to storms and road closures.

You have your own separate space with separate entrance in a quiet residential neighborhood, 5 minutes from airport and downtown Reno. Less than one hour from Tahoe and skiing. Full large basement apartment is over 700 sq. ft. and has a separate, private entrance (with stairs) and its own backyard. Owners live upstairs. Eclectic decor - antique bedroom set, Mexican themed common spaces.
This is NOT a party house. If there is anything resembling an out of control party you will be asked to leave immediately.

The space
This is a spacious studio apartment. It occupies the entire basement of a 2 bedroom house (above), so it is quite large. The queen bedroom area is off by itself a bit and has a curtain for some privacy. The single bed has a partial room divider also. For those who need a desk space there is a very large desk, with lamp, electrical outlets and printer.

Guest access
You have access to the entire basement apartment through a private entrance on back of house, and private backyard area, entered by a separate gate to street parking.

Other things to note
A portacrib and and an air mattress are available. There are some board games and a collection of books and magazines as well as some toddler toys. Kitchen is ready for cooking and cabinets contain spices, oils, cookware, servingware and some basic foods just in case. A washer and dryer are in the apartment for you to use as well as an iron and ironing board.

A cozy cabin feeling in Midtown Reno. Well stocked kitchen. Green fenced yard and ample driveway parking. Close to everything. 5 min from airport. 2 min from VA Hospital and midtown shops. 5 min from Renown Hospital and Walmart. 7 min from UNR, downtown, Winco, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

The living room sets the cabin tone with glazed knotty pine walls and ceiling and a brick fireplace with a realistic fireplace insert. Newly remodeled with crisp white trim and baseboards.

- "We stayed one night on our way across state lines and wish we had more time to stay another night! We were impressed with the entire property- our cottage, the details, cleanliness, and landscaping are all stunning! plus, it’s close to everything you’d need downtown/UNR area. Everything has been beautifully executed, a true job well done! We highly recommend!" - "August 5th and 6th 2022. These were my observations: The A/C unit in the bedroom made a high -pitched sound that could be very disturbing for someone that needs quiet to sleep (luckily for us, we always bring a small box fan when we travel and it usually blocks out most other noises). The A/C unit also had glow in the dark controls so if you have to have darkness, you may want to bring something to place over them (maybe painters’ tape that wouldn’t leave residue). It worked as a night light for me to get up at night w/out bumping into things. The bedroom did NOT have black-out curtains on all the windows so be prepared for that. Since we were visiting family, we were getting up early any way so it wasn’t a bother for us, but you may want to sleep in late. If you are like us and keep your phone/tablet/laptop charged by the bed, be aware that there is only 1 electrical plug by the bed and both the nightstand lamps are plugged into it. To plug in your electronics, you will either need to unplug the lamp or have a plug extender with you. The unit did have an iron and ironing board, but no hangers in the closet. So, even if you took the time to iron your clothes there would be no way to hang them up afterwards. The room did have a nice small refrigerator, microwave and 2-4 of most dishes. They included coffee and had a 1- person coffee maker. There were paper towels under the sink along with soap to wash your dishes if used. There is no freezer or cooktop, so if you want to cook, you will have to stay with things that do not need to be frozen and can be microwaved or not cooked. The contract states only 2 people in the cottages overnight. If you are renting a cottage for a destination wedding or other event and you have a small child or maybe even a teenager, you could speak to management about that. The beds are very comfortable and king size. A small child could possibly sleep with parents. Depending on the age/size, there is room in the living room for a sleeping bag. The couch is NOT big enough for someone to sleep on (this is for the Ruby, not sure about other cottages). The bathroom was well designed and had PLENTY of storage space, extra toilet paper and a hair dryer and 2 of each towels These gemstone cottages are gated in and separate from the RV living of the park. Other reviews have mentioned the area of town, yes its older but the park was well maintained and quiet. Overall we would suggest this to anyone wanting to give it a try."

- "Wonderful host, very comfortable bed, cute decor, great location, loved all the little “extras”" - "This was my second stay at this property, and I am designating it as my "go to" place to stay in Reno. The apartment is very charming and comfortable, and I feel very at home here. It is so quiet and so peaceful, and the well kept property with lots of flowers and trees and cool lighting at night adds to the pleasure of staying here. For me, it is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing long weekend. I like the fact that while the property and neighborhood are so peaceful and quiet, it is only a very short walk of about 5 or so minutes to downtown where all the casino hotels, shops, and restaurants are--making it an ideal location for those who want the best of all worlds for a stay in Reno. The river walk is also at the end of the short block where the property is located--another big plus. The unique antique gas fireplace is wonderful! It is easy to operate, looks like a real wood fire, and throws great heat! The bed is super comfortable, and the heated toilet seat is a nice extra! Lastly, the neighborhood feels very safe, and there is a designated off street parking space for the apartment which is right outside the front door."

This is a very quiet neighborhood and guests and/or their invitees must drive very slow and safe in the neighborhood.

BRAKING ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL CAUSE CANCELING YOUR RESERVATION AND IMMEDIATE EVICTION WITH NO REFUNDS.

Guest Access:
Please note that Reno area is a ski destination and skiing comes with snow and road closures, we wait the entire year for the snow and skiers so that we can balance our income and run our rental arbitrage business, visitors needs to be prepared for harsh weather conditions and they should always check the weather forecast and plan ahead, be prepared start your travel early in the morning if you can to make sure you will get to Reno before the Sun Set when the weather starts being harsh, be prepared to have AWD/4WD vehicles with tire chains and longer travel times (sometimes over 8 hours) or rerouting to get here sometime from a longer route.
So please be prepared because we can’t provide refunds for cancellations due to storms and road closures.

SWITCHING THE ENTIRE RESERVATION YO FOR A LATER DATE

Please note that sending a request to switch your entire reservation to a different date is almost equal to canceling your reservation and leaving our house vacant and means loosing the income for those dates and since we are running a rental arbitrage, and since we do business in these house we are paying premium rent for them therefore we can’t afford leaving our house vacant for the dates that were chosen before, so we will unfortunately have to decline the guest request if the guest decides to switch the reservation to a later date.

Other Things to Note:
There is no physical key ! It’s just a code that you can enter anytime you want !

Please note that since we don’t charge extra for additional guests we only provide bedding and towels the same amount of the beds, and also always double check the amount of beds as some guests mistake the amount beds with the sofa beds however sofa beds won’t come with beddings

Other things to note
If you need to meal prep for the week in the kitchen, this is not a good stay for you. There is not usually available space in the main fridge/freezer for guest foods. Please keep your food in the guest fridge. (Check with me to see if there is room in the main fridge/freezer before stocking up) This stay allows use of the microwave, keurig, and provided silverware and coffee cups/drinkware. You may be able to cook in the kitchen upon request. Just clean all surfaces/floor spills and leave your dishes, rinsed, in the sink.

Quiet and cozy 1st floor bedroom with a dedicated full bathroom (outside the room) in a large house on a quiet neighborhood. Amenities include a queen size bed, a 42 inch smart TV, fast wifi internet connection, a walk-in closet and a work desk. We have a friendly old dog named Tyson who loves to be petted! We also have EV charging on premises available upon request. This rental includes the room and the bathroom only. THE COMMON SPACES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS.

Close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located minimalist house. Less than 2 miles from the airport, 2 miles from midtown and only a few miles from downtown. We are a blue collar family, and experienced Airbnb hosts. Small family, 2 little ones that can be noisy. Safe and small neighborhood. We have less, use less and try to make our home a little more beautiful everyday. We are about 80% complete through a full remodel. The kitchen is unfinished but fully functional.

The space
4 bedroom, 1 bath house located on Riley Avenue down the street from the airport. We are minimalists. Less things make us happier people! Some more information about our place. We are currently about 80% done with a full remodel. The kitchen is in flux, but is fully functional. We have all new appliances for kitchen and laundry but have not yet installed new flooring, or cabinets. There is a small section with some of the concrete slab exposed that will be finished in the near future. The bedroom remodels are complete. But there are small sections of the house that are still having flooring, or drywall work completed.

Living room, kitchen, private bedroom, shared bathroom and front yard. Backyard is off limits and reserved for our pets.

Feel free to contact us directly through the Airbnb app. We will respond as quickly as possible. Because of little ones and work, we do go to bed at 8pm so try to have your questions answered before that time.

Other things to note
Kitchen is mid remodel. Everything is safe to code, but flooring and cabinets are incomplete. There may be some small sections of the house outside of the rental room, that need drywall work, paint and or flooring. We have 2 small children and an indoor outdoor cat. Anyone with kids knows, they can be noisy At inconvenient times. We will provide earplugs for our guests at request.

I am renting out the master bedroom + bathroom! The room comes with 2 closets, a dresser, blackout shades, and a tv. I live in a quiet, centrally located neighborhood. It’s close to the highway, 30 mins from Mt Rose, and it’s less than an hour from Lake Tahoe. I will consider pets on a case by case basis since I have 2 (very friendly) cats.

As a travel healthcare worker, I’d love to rent out this room to other traveling professionals. I will happily consider other short term renters as well!

You will find your room very spacious. You'll have access to work out equipment such as weights, exercise bands etc. The shower has great water pressure. A Keurig coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave are in the room for your convenience.

The property is centrally located and in a nice quiet neighborhood . Your room is downstairs with a rainbow chakra flag on the door. Your room also has a mini refrigerator with a small freezer, small microwave and a Keurig coffee machine with Keurig coffee pods and creamer (sugar available on request). Your room is connected to a private bathroom and laundry room.
