This house has two plus bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room and a sunroom. The spacious primary bedroom has a king bed and offers a private porch, a small sitting area with a gorgeous view, smart TV, a private full bathroom with a large shower and also an attached room with two twin bunk beds. The second bedroom has a king bed, a large closet and a smart TV. The full kitchen includes new appliances and has an expansive island ready for any cooking, prepping and gathering. The dining room table seats 6 plus a bar table that holds 2 more. Plenty of places to unwind, either in the living room with the large screen TV or in the relaxing sunroom with ample amount of windows to enjoy the sunset over the lake and the eagles flying up above. Outside is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. A patio area to sit and relax, plenty of green space for yard games or the large dock with seating and a bench to enjoy the lake view.

Note, this body of water is part of the historic Chippewa River, downstream of the Xcel Energy Jim Falls Dam, water levels fluctuate. Currents and water levels are unpredictable - use at your own risk.

Wissota State Park: Whether you want to go for a hike or relax on the sandy beach, Wissota State Park should be on your vacation to-do list. Only a 10 minute drive and it offers a large, family-friendly sandy swimming and picnic area, located on historic Lake Wissota, and is set in a beautiful northern wooded area for walking and hiking. Plenty to do for the whole family.

Old Abe Trail: If biking is your thing to do, you are only 3 blocks away (less than a 2 minute bike ride) from the Old Abe Trail. This trail offers 28 miles of beautiful (bike or snowmobile trail) riding along the river and landscapes of the Chippewa Valley. Old Abe Trail links up to over 70 miles of trails throughout the Chippewa Valley. You can spend your whole vacation on your bikes or snowmobiles and visit many of the quaint eateries and historic sites in the area.

Leinie Lodge: Located less than 20 minutes away is the historic Leinie Lodge. Leinenkugel brewery was founded in 1867 and has been a huge part of history for Chippewa Falls. It is located on Popple Lake which is a smaller lake with many natural beauties and is also located on a quiet dead end road.
The home is a brand new re-build (2020) and is within 1.5 hours East of Minneapolis.
The house is located in Jim Falls WI, which is only 30 min. from Eau Claire, 15 from Chippewa Falls and 15 from Bloomer.

Popple Lake is a 94 acre lake located in Chippewa County. It has a maximum depth of 25 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. (No cost) Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

The property has beautiful views year round of the lake which can be seen throughout the home. The deck is located 20ft from the water, with a nice large dock with chairs, table, bench and stairs with a handle, into the water. It is a Great Lake for swimming and fishing.

The home is a 2 bedroom (queen bed in each room) and 1 bath, living room has 3 futons that can be used as sleeping space, with a Full kitchen. Large kitchen bar to gather at. We have many extras such as board games and TV with Hulu on it for the times you just want to stay in and relax.

VRBO outside amenities.
In the summer, there is an Aqua lily pad and 2 kayaks available (Life jackets provided) (use at own risk) These are included with your stay. The swim raft is NOT part of the VRBO. It is our neighbors, so please respect their property and not use.
There is a private dock out front of the house. Feel free to bring your own boat and park it at the dock during your stay.

In the winter you can ice fish, snowmobile, cross country ski or snow shoe around the lake. Must bring own equipment to do these activities. Nothing is provided at the house.

There is also an area to have a small outside fire. Wood is available at the rental. Please use wood respectfully, we do not charge an added fee for it. There are 6 bag chairs at the house in the closet to use for around the fire.

This property has a studio suite in the front of the house, closest to the road that is NOT part of the VRBO rental.
This is a private suite for the owners to use mostly in the off season when the VRBO is vacant. If it is occupied when the VRBO is being rented, the VRBO guest has full privacy of the yard and dock.
Each unit has a private entry and there is a laundry area between the units that is shared. Each unit has a locked door for privacy that leads to this laundry area.

The public boat landing is just a few minutes from the house.
You can ride your ATV from the driveway to reach trails, bars and restaurants. You can also catch your supper off the dock!

In the winter you can reach snowmobile trails from the lake and the lake is good for ice fishing.

If you needed any quick groceries or gas, their is a Cenex Convenience store in Jim Falls, just minutes away.
There is a wonderful country Bar/supper club within 5 minutes of the house called , “Old Abe’s Supper-club” Look it up to dine in or call for take out.
Also in Jim Falls there is a great bar called Jakes Jim Town Inn. He has great food and it is a nice home town bar.
A near by town to visit while you are in the area is Chippewa Falls. It has a small town feel but many things to do. One place the whole family would enjoy is, Irvine Park. It is a free park with a petting zoo and many hiking trails. They also have an outside Bear and Lion Den exhibit along with others misc. animals from monkeys to Buffalo.
You can take a walk downtown Chippewa and visit our great restaurants and along the way you will have to stop at a few hot spots like Olson’s Ice Cream and the candy store. Mason Shoe Store is a popular place to go along with some other boutique shops in town for the shoppers of the group.
Chippewa Falls is also the home of Jacob Leinenkugels Brewery. They offer tours and have a beautiful lodge to enjoy some of their samples.
There is also a Distillery/Brewery in town. Head toward the river to the “Chippewa River Distillery” They have an upper outside deck that has a beautiful view of the Chippewa River.
This is a beautiful area for a quiet get away any time of year.

There are rafts and kayaks to use along with a floating dock to relax on. Checking in was a dream. There is a code on the door that is sent to you the day you check in. There is a tv in the living room with complimentary Appletv and board games to enjoy. There is also a little patio with a fire pit where we roasted marshmallows with provided roasting sticks hanging on a nearby tree. In walking distance, there is a local, friendly bar and a few steps further a beautiful supper club with excellent food. You are also just a few driving minutes away from great breweries, restaurants, ice cream parlors and shopping. We didn't see our host or hostess which was absolutely ok because if you need anything just shoot them a message and they get right back to you. We will definitely keep this in mind for future getaways. Already talking about bring our adult children back with us some day. This place sleeps 8 very comfortably. The cabin was cozy and it was fun to go out on the lake with the tandem kayak. We must not of read the description closely and came with food to prepare several meals. We were able to pivot and use the fire pit or microwave for cooking instead. It was wonderful to wake up to a chorus of birds or sit next to the fire in the evening and watch the sun set in the distance. Highly recommended!"

The property is great a lot to offer all ages. Matt was great for boat rentals, and fushing tight off the dock was good. Prices for everything is really reasonable, and Rhonda and Matt are great. Located in the country only 1.5 hours east of the Twin Cities & 30 min from Eau Claire! 1+ acre, 160 ft of private shoreline, dock, deck, firepit, & screened in gazebo. Guests have access to our complimentary hot tub (all year), paddle boat, canoe, aqua lily pad & 2 kayaks with signed contract/waiver but are subject to availability and season. Fully stocked kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 bath & small loft. Sleeps 4. $50 pet fee per dog, 2 dogs max. Guests over 18 must send a picture of their ID to verify guests listed on contract. 3 security cameras onsite.

- "This place is so nice! It had everything we needed—full kitchen with all pots, pans, dishes, etc you could need. Nice towels in the bathroom. Nice soaps, shampoo conditioner. Bed and bedding comfy! It is decorated beautifully, has a wonderful view of the lake… we cannot wait to come back, go fishing and swimming in the summertime. Grocery store/liquor store, gas, fishing tackle, boat launch all conveniently located within one mile.

This charming 740 square foot cabin, built in 1956, features beautiful views of Lake Wissota, just 30 feet away, looking east with low elevation access to the lake. The interior consists of a fully equipped kitchen with new countertops, a queen sized bed in each bedroom and full size fold out futon, cable TV/DVD player, wireless internet, AC, on site laundry and bed linens/towels furnished.
Outdoor features include a patio, picnic table, lawn chairs, charcoal grill and campfire ring. (Firewood furnished for a nominal fee).

- "Nice cabin clean and spacious" - "Very easy! Check in and out was easy. Everything we needed was in the cabin. It was a beautiful area. We can’t wait to come back, maybe during the summer season next time." - "We very much enjoyed the cabin and the property. We thought the cabin was nicely decorated, very comfortable and peaceful. It was homey and outfitted with about anything you could want to make the stay comfortable. We loved its closeness to the water! The weather wasn't very accommodating but I did get to sit in the sun for an hour or so the day before checkout. I loved the sound of the water and the views of the lake as I enjoyed the sun! We really appreciated that there were privacy fences between the cabins. And the fact that it was very handy if you wanted to fish. The guy next to us seemed to be having a great time fishing! All in all it was a great experience and in the future we won't hesitate to go back if we have the opportunity."

Kayak season is here! Very Clean and Unique place to take the family on vacation or a group of friends (large group rates and accomodations available) We are located in Cornell, Wisconsin. Visit Brunet State Park for some paddling around the islands, less than a mile from cabin. Or kayak the Chippewa River....portage across the road. We have some of the best waters around. Old Abe biking trail runs from Cornell to Lake Hallie (about 40 miles of paved trail) is less than 1/4 mile from cabin for enthusiast bikers and for the hikers, the Ice Age Trail passes in front of the cabin on CC road. We are across the blue bridge on outskirt of town which has plenty of places to eat, within 1 mile radius. And if you love history, stop in to the visitor center located across the blue bridge, in Mill Yard Park. Great place to unplug and enjoy the outdoors again. The area offers seasonal outdoor recreation......fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing.
We have added a gas grill and also have a wood fire pit and propane fire pit on the covered deck.
