This house has two plus bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room and a sunroom. The spacious primary bedroom has a king bed and offers a private porch, a small sitting area with a gorgeous view, smart TV, a private full bathroom with a large shower and also an attached room with two twin bunk beds. The second bedroom has a king bed, a large closet and a smart TV. The full kitchen includes new appliances and has an expansive island ready for any cooking, prepping and gathering. The dining room table seats 6 plus a bar table that holds 2 more. Plenty of places to unwind, either in the living room with the large screen TV or in the relaxing sunroom with ample amount of windows to enjoy the sunset over the lake and the eagles flying up above. Outside is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. A patio area to sit and relax, plenty of green space for yard games or the large dock with seating and a bench to enjoy the lake view.

Note, this body of water is part of the historic Chippewa River, downstream of the Xcel Energy Jim Falls Dam, water levels fluctuate. Currents and water levels are unpredictable - use at your own risk.

Wissota State Park: Whether you want to go for a hike or relax on the sandy beach, Wissota State Park should be on your vacation to-do list. Only a 10 minute drive and it offers a large, family-friendly sandy swimming and picnic area, located on historic Lake Wissota, and is set in a beautiful northern wooded area for walking and hiking. Plenty to do for the whole family.

Old Abe Trail: If biking is your thing to do, you are only 3 blocks away (less than a 2 minute bike ride) from the Old Abe Trail. This trail offers 28 miles of beautiful (bike or snowmobile trail) riding along the river and landscapes of the Chippewa Valley. Old Abe Trail links up to over 70 miles of trails throughout the Chippewa Valley. You can spend your whole vacation on your bikes or snowmobiles and visit many of the quaint eateries and historic sites in the area.

Leinie Lodge: Located less than 20 minutes away is the historic Leinie Lodge. Leinenkugel brewery was founded in 1867 and has been a huge part of history for Chippewa Falls. It is located on Popple Lake which is a smaller lake with many natural beauties and is also located on a quiet dead end road.
The home is a brand new re-build (2020) and is within 1.5 hours East of Minneapolis.
The house is located in Jim Falls WI, which is only 30 min. from Eau Claire, 15 from Chippewa Falls and 15 from Bloomer.

Popple Lake is a 94 acre lake located in Chippewa County. It has a maximum depth of 25 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. (No cost) Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

The property has beautiful views year round of the lake which can be seen throughout the home. The deck is located 20ft from the water, with a nice large dock with chairs, table, bench and stairs with a handle, into the water. It is a Great Lake for swimming and fishing.

The home is a 2 bedroom (queen bed in each room) and 1 bath, living room has 3 futons that can be used as sleeping space, with a Full kitchen. Large kitchen bar to gather at. We have many extras such as board games and TV with Hulu on it for the times you just want to stay in and relax.

VRBO outside amenities.
In the summer, there is an Aqua lily pad and 2 kayaks available (Life jackets provided) (use at own risk) These are included with your stay. The swim raft is NOT part of the VRBO. It is our neighbors, so please respect their property and not use.
There is a private dock out front of the house. Feel free to bring your own boat and park it at the dock during your stay.

In the winter you can ice fish, snowmobile, cross country ski or snow shoe around the lake. Must bring own equipment to do these activities. Nothing is provided at the house.

There is also an area to have a small outside fire. Wood is available at the rental. Please use wood respectfully, we do not charge an added fee for it. There are 6 bag chairs at the house in the closet to use for around the fire.

This property has a studio suite in the front of the house, closest to the road that is NOT part of the VRBO rental.
This is a private suite for the owners to use mostly in the off season when the VRBO is vacant. If it is occupied when the VRBO is being rented, the VRBO guest has full privacy of the yard and dock.
Each unit has a private entry and there is a laundry area between the units that is shared. Each unit has a locked door for privacy that leads to this laundry area.

The public boat landing is just a few minutes from the house.
You can ride your ATV from the driveway to reach trails, bars and restaurants. You can also catch your supper off the dock!

In the winter you can reach snowmobile trails from the lake and the lake is good for ice fishing.

If you needed any quick groceries or gas, their is a Cenex Convenience store in Jim Falls, just minutes away.
There is a wonderful country Bar/supper club within 5 minutes of the house called , “Old Abe’s Supper-club” Look it up to dine in or call for take out.
Also in Jim Falls there is a great bar called Jakes Jim Town Inn. He has great food and it is a nice home town bar.
A near by town to visit while you are in the area is Chippewa Falls. It has a small town feel but many things to do. One place the whole family would enjoy is, Irvine Park. It is a free park with a petting zoo and many hiking trails. They also have an outside Bear and Lion Den exhibit along with others misc. animals from monkeys to Buffalo.
You can take a walk downtown Chippewa and visit our great restaurants and along the way you will have to stop at a few hot spots like Olson’s Ice Cream and the candy store. Mason Shoe Store is a popular place to go along with some other boutique shops in town for the shoppers of the group.
Chippewa Falls is also the home of Jacob Leinenkugels Brewery. They offer tours and have a beautiful lodge to enjoy some of their samples.
There is also a Distillery/Brewery in town. Head toward the river to the “Chippewa River Distillery” They have an upper outside deck that has a beautiful view of the Chippewa River.
This is a beautiful area for a quiet get away any time of year.

There are rafts and kayaks to use along with a floating dock to relax on. Checking in was a dream. There is a code on the door that is sent to you the day you check in. There is a tv in the living room with complimentary Appletv and board games to enjoy. There is also a little patio with a fire pit where we roasted marshmallows with provided roasting sticks hanging on a nearby tree. In walking distance, there is a local, friendly bar and a few steps further a beautiful supper club with excellent food. You are also just a few driving minutes away from great breweries, restaurants, ice cream parlors and shopping. We didn't see our host or hostess which was absolutely ok because if you need anything just shoot them a message and they get right back to you. We will definitely keep this in mind for future getaways. Already talking about bring our adult children back with us some day. This place sleeps 8 very comfortably. The cabin was cozy and it was fun to go out on the lake with the tandem kayak. We must not of read the description closely and came with food to prepare several meals. We were able to pivot and use the fire pit or microwave for cooking instead. It was wonderful to wake up to a chorus of birds or sit next to the fire in the evening and watch the sun set in the distance. Highly recommended!"

It was homey and outfitted with about anything you could want to make the stay comfortable. We loved its closeness to the water! We really appreciated that there were privacy fences between the cabins. And the fact that it was very handy if you wanted to fish. The guy next to us seemed to be having a great time fishing! Kayak season is here! Very Clean and Unique place to take the family on vacation or a group of friends (large group rates and accomodations available) We are located in Cornell, Wisconsin. Visit Brunet State Park for some paddling around the islands, less than a mile from cabin. Or kayak the Chippewa River....portage across the road. We have some of the best waters around. Old Abe biking trail runs from Cornell to Lake Hallie (about 40 miles of paved trail) is less than 1/4 mile from cabin for enthusiast bikers and for the hikers, the Ice Age Trail passes in front of the cabin on CC road. We are across the blue bridge on outskirt of town which has plenty of places to eat, within 1 mile radius. And if you love history, stop in to the visitor center located across the blue bridge, in Mill Yard Park. Great place to unplug and enjoy the outdoors again. The area offers seasonal outdoor recreation......fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing.
We have added a gas grill and also have a wood fire pit and propane fire pit on the covered deck.

This hideaway cabin was not only perfect but was exactly what my husband and i needed for our quick weekend getaway. Despite the snow and ice the view was beautiful. We did some ice fishing and some snowshoeing. The owners made the cutest ice skating rink right outside our cabin. This literally is the perfect hideaway. Lake Wissota is conveniently located just an hour and a half east of the Twin Cities. The home is within walking distance of a public beach and three restaurants. If you fish, this is the place for you. The lake has musky, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish. It's a quiet lake during the week and an active one on the weekends. There are 5 waterfront restaurants/bars on the lake that you can boat right up to. If you want a day off the lake, take a tour of the historic Leinenkugel Brewery or visit Irvine Park Zoo. Both are just 10 minutes from the lake. Don't forget your golf clubs and bike. There is a public golf course on the lake and the area features great bike trails. This is also the perfect winter get-a-way for winter sports lovers: great ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and cross-country skiing!

- "A very nice place and the owners go out of their way to accommodate you. Thank you" - "My son and I were planning to go to Stout's parent weekend to visit our freshman. Unexpectedly, I didn't have a dogsitter, so I searched VRBO for a dog-friendly place to stay. It's only an hour away from Stout, and the drive from Menomenie to Cornell was absolutely beautiful and the leaves were changing. We liked it so much, our freshman came to stay the night the 2nd night. The check in process couldn't have been easier. We got a text with our contactless code, which was useful as I showed up late at night on a Friday night. The place was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed (towels, soaps, etc as well as snacks and coffee/tea). The bed in the main bedroom was great. The host made up the pullout for my son :) My dog felt very comfortable in the space, and we had a lovely time reconnecting as a family. Review of Cornell - very cute town, we visited Sam's diner and Hey Everything while we were there. The drive was well worth the stay. 10/10 - would stay again."

This charming 455 square foot cabin, features beautiful views of Lake Wissota (about 60' from shore), looking east with low elevation access to the lake. The interior consists of a fully equipped kitchen, queen sized bed, two single beds and full size fold out couch, cable TV/DVD player, wireless internet, AC, on site laundry and bed linens/towels furnished.

Outdoor features include a deck, picnic table, lawn chairs, charcoal grill and campfire ring. (Firewood furnished for a nominal fee).

Come relax at Fireside Lake Resort. We are a family friendly resort with your own fire pit overlooking the beach and lake. Fireside Lake is a great spot for fishing, water sports and swimming. We have a large lawn area for lawn games and a beach for swimming. We do have WiFi but it can be very spotty service in our area. This rental is available between May and mid October. $50 cleaning fee for stays.

The Tiny House II is a newly renovated 2 bedroom rental. We have 3 other cabins on the same property so the docks and beach are shared spaces. Every cabin has their own fire pit and charcoal grill. The Tiny House rental is ideal for 2 people. It could work for 2 adults and 2 small kids or three adults max. The nightly fee is based on 3 people. An additional $10 charge per day will be added if the rental is maxed at 4 guests.

There is also a shared space for a playground and volleyball court.
End the night around the campfire roasting s’mores and enjoying the sights and sounds of the nature around you or enjoy some great food, drink, and music including homemade pizza and a great fish fry, at the Winterhaven Bar and Grill located by the beach at the campground resort.

Welcome to Chippewa Falls! In the town of Anson, this corner is where The Old Washington School stood, a one room country school. Barbara bought/built on this lot in 2015, she had lived in the Chippewa Falls area her whole life. She was an old school world traveler! Our cozy Liten Stuga is a new fully renovated little cabin with modern Nordic inspired decor. Beautiful pine vaulted ceilings, white shiplap walls, luxury vinyl tile flooring throughout, new windows, door...literally almost everything is updated! Stunning property and cabin! Large windows boast natural light providing stunning elevated views of Popple Lake!

Seasonally we provide complimentary use of our 2 kayaks, canoe, paddle boat , life jackets and Aqua Lily float mat but all are subject to availability. An ATV trail and the boat landing is less than 1/4 mile down the road. We have ample parking for an ATV/snowmobile/boat trailer on our 1+ acre partially wooded property for guests bringing their own toy hauling trailers. Perfect quiet location located within 30 minutes of Brunet Island and Lake Wissota State Parks as well as the Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area for those outdoor enthusiasts. Bring your bikes and hop on the Old Abe Biking Trail located only 2 miles from the cabin. Please read individual picture comments for more information on our Liten Stuga.

A contract for using the hot tub will be sent prior to your stay. Guests are expected to sign contract and respect our hot tub expectations. We want each guest to be able to enjoy our hot tub during their visit so have a few specific expectations when using it (shower beforehand, no glass, please use our complimentary slippers or bring your own sandals/slippers to keep your feet clean before entering).

Guests with dogs will be charged a separate dog fee of $50 per dog after your reservation has been accepted, 2 dogs max. Copy/picture of ID's for guests over 18 is needed to verify guests on the contract/waiver which is needed at least 48 hours prior to guests arrival. Only dogs allowed, no other pets allowed due to allergies.

The ceiling in the bedroom is only 6.2 feet tall and the tallest point in the loft is 4.5 feet tall. There is a race track about 2 miles away which can be faintly heard from the cabin on race days. We do have 1 neighbor somewhat close by but the other side of our property is our open 2nd lot. No oets other than dogs allowed. $50 per dog fee, 2 dog max applied after guest is accepted. We have well water which can have a distinct taste and smell. It is tested annually and is safe to drink. We do provide some bottles of water but guests may want to bring additional water to drink if they do not like the taste of well water.

Relax with family and friends in 2 separate cabins on the same property with a beach area on Fireside Lake. We're open year round. Endless water fun in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. We're close to the Ice Age trail for hiking, golf, and Christie Mountain for skiing/tubing. The nightly rate is based on 12 people. An additional $20/night will be added on for each additional guest. Max of 16. $150 cleaning fee. Inquire about our seasonal cabin available for 4 more.

The space
The Lake View cabin has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level with the kitchen and living room. The loft has 2 full size beds and is an open concept to enjoy the lake views from the beds or the resting chair. You have a deck area that overlooks your fire pit and beach/lake. Our Beach View cabin again has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level with the kitchen and living room The loft has 2 single beds. You have a deck space out the front entrance overlooking your fire pit and beach area and another deck off the living room area with steps down to it's own dock space. An additional Tiny House rental is available also on this same property if you need more space for your family and friends.

Other things to note
The cabins will have a few bath and kitchen towels but plan to pack your own beach towels.

Welcome to our beautiful property! We have some wonderful amenities to enhance your stay, including a gas grill with a direct hook up, so you won't need to worry about bringing a canister. Additionally, during the summer months (Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day Weekend), our heated pool is open and ready for your enjoyment. We kindly ask that you review and abide by the posted safety rules at both pool gate entrances and keep the pool gates latched at all times to ensure the safety of all guests.

Our property also boasts a serene location on the banks of the Chippewa River, offering a tranquil setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. However, please note that while the river is a beautiful feature, it's important to supervise children at all times to ensure their safety.
