- "We hate a late summer family vacation and this property was perfect. We had 4 days with just my husband, our dog and I and then our two children, their spouses and 10 month old babies joined the rest of the week. We had plenty of room for everyone. The house was perfect for us. Having a dog we were a little nervous as to what to expect but it was perfect. There was an extra leash and dog toys. All unexpected but appreciated. The lake access was perfect for for many games of fetch in the lake. The house had absolutely everything we needed and more. It had all the kitchen appliances you could possibly need. It had a highchair which was great and a portable crib. We did not use the portable crib but based on the quality of all of the other items I am sure it would be great. I would highly recommend this property."

Accessible from a public boat landing on County Road E, the lake provides plenty of room for recreational boating and paddling.

Explore the greater Northern Wisconsin’s “Lake Country” within minutes of the cabin. The Cedar Lakehouse is centrally located to the attractions and communities that define being “up north.” You will find shopping, dining, and attractions in Minocqua, 18 minutes away; and St. Germain, just 12 minutes down the road. Welcome to our cozy cabin nestled in the heart of Oneida County. We are steps from picturesque Bluegill Lake, a private lake with 21 acres of crystal-clear water surrounded by towering trees. Kayaks, paddleboat and swimming raft included. Fish for bass and bluegill right from the dock!
Escape the city but still be close to many restaurants, bars, shops etc.
Less than a mile from Bass Lake boat launch and less than 7 miles from Lake Tomahawk boat launch on the Chain of Lakes.

This well loved and maintained cabin is the prefect space for families or couples to enjoy all the Northwoods has to offer. We have made many updates including a brand new composite deck, new flooring, updated bathroom, new appliances and new furniture. Enjoy the spacious back yard with a gentle slope to the lake where you'll find a private pier, paddle boat, kayaks and a swimming raft.

A gas grill, fully stocked kitchen and gas range/stove make it easy to cook at home and enjoy a meal on the deck under the stars. If you would rather go out we are less than six miles from Lake Tomahawk, 12 miles from Saint Germain, 15 miles from Minocqua and 20 miles from Rhinelander.

LAKES: This home is a 10-minute walk to Bass Lake on a rustic trail through the woods and it is also very close to the Rainbow Flowage - both are full rec lakes with boat launches. The 3,100-acre Rainbow Flowage is home to northern pike, walleye, panfish, musky, and bass.

TRAILS: You can take off from your ATV or snowmobile right from the home to get onto the nearby trails. Check out the various Clubs on our "Destinations" page to navigate all the trail systems.

AREA: Lucky Bass Retreat is 10 min to Lake Tomahawk, 20 min to Minocqua, 15 min to St. Germain, and 30 min to Eagle River. This home borders the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest. Lake Tomahawk is home to the famous Snowshoe Baseball games played every Monday night in the summer and has several dining options.

WEEKLY REQUIREMENT: Due to Oneida County regulations, this property requires a minimum 7-night booking. Shorter bookings are not permitted, and we are subject to penalties for non-compliance. Sunday to Sunday dates from mid-June to mid-Aug, and flexible check-in and check-out dates the remainder of year. While the booking is for 7 nights, we understand you may not need the full duration, so non-summer rates are priced equivalent to a 3-night booking.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount, while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. Our lake home is situated on 166 feet of prime Lake Tomahawk frontage on over an acre of land. The view is one of the best on the Minocqua Chain of Lakes and the west facing exposure provides gorgeous sunsets and warm sun all afternoon/evening.

We are a convenient 5 minute car drive to downtown Lake Tomahawk and 15 minutes to downtown Minocqua. Or you can travel by boat to either! Great swimming, boating, and fishing are right in the 'back yard.'

I'm originally from Milwaukee and my parents have a second home on the Minocqua Chain. So, I spent my childhood summers and many additional weekends Up North. My partner and our two year old son spent three nights here on our way up to the UP, and couldn't have enjoyed the property more. The cabin is incredibly clean, cozy, and quaint. We could tell a lot of thought was put into it by the owner. The deck being almost over the lake and providing a wonderful view and sitting area was my favorite part. We also enjoyed the firepit and the fact that you could be sitting at the fire and have a view of the lake. We did some fishing from the pier and caught some bullhead and panfish. My son and I also spent the better part of an afternoon swinging in a hammock and watching the eagles who were nesting just adjacent to the property. No joke the eagle viewing here was amazing. A few important things to note: -Shower was hot and soap/shampoo/conditioner are provided. Towels were clean. -We did use the A/C for one day, and it worked great. -Beds were very comfortable. -Internet worked great (I had to work a little bit and even took a Zoom call from the deck with no issues). -Proximity to Minocqua was great (like 10-15 minute drive). The only thing I think it's worth pointing out in this review is that the south side of the property is fairly open to another rental, so you'll see them a little bit especially on the driveway and down by the pier. But it's much more private on the deck. Tracy was wonderful in terms of communications, and we would certainly stay here again!"

Spend your vacation right on the lake! Spacious two bedroom house right on Horsehead Lake. You'll get the whole house to yourself. Two fireplaces, 1.5 baths, downstairs bar area, deck access from the bedroom and two twin beds for the kids. We love staying there so we know you will too! FYI this is a Main House that has four other cabins on the lot. The main grilling area and pier may be used by anyone staying.

Great access to trails from property. With amble parking there is more than enough room to bring trucks, trailers and sleds.

There is not a firepit or grill, nor any kayaks or other boats, which would have made it perfect. Short drive for restaurants, groceries, zoo, horseback riding, mini golf. - "Cabin 2 was very nice. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights, we brought our 24 foot enclosed trailer and two Polaris rzr 1000 xp machines to ride the trails. I was contacted by the owner Tylor and he informed me before we departed that the road back to the cabin was tight and he wasn't sure if i could make it back to the cabin with a 24 foot trailer. upon arrival i decided to attempt the drive back to the cabin. the road back is not to bad and had no issues getting back to the cabin with my trailer. i did pull up to cabin 2 with my tailer in pull. day of departure i had to back the trailer from the cabin to an opening so that i could make it out down the road. I suggest if you coming up with a trailer to pull straight up to the main cabin and there is a large grassy area that you can back into and leave you trailer for your stay. but speak with the renters before hand and make sure that is okay. just took some time to back out to the main path back to the road. The cabin is a one room with a full bath. So if you are traveling with another couple expect to share the same room with them on the fold out couch. The mattress is softer but comfortable( i prefer a firmer mattress) but it did not stop me from having a comfortable nights sleep. We stayed first weekend in October and the cabin did not have a heater in it at this time, the temps did not cause any issues at all as well but later in the season a heater would be needed. the cabin is not for from the utv/snowmobile trails. "

Pia's Place - Our newly renovated 4 season knotty pine Northwoods home on North Two Lake, is the perfect lakeside retreat or winter get away with family and friends for rousing game nights or quiet evening cocktails by the fire-pit. Our home boasts three bedrooms and three full bathrooms with space for up to six guests, and lots of great spaces to spread out and relax. A large fieldstone fireplace graces a family room overlooking the 144 acre lake, and two outdoor fire-pits offer a chance to unwind beside a crackling fire. A wraparound deck holds lounging chairs for catching some rays and reading that novel that everyone on BookTok is raving about, or napping the afternoon away in preparation for a trip to Minocqua for a great Northwoods Supper Club experience. Don't forget to head out to Lake Tomahawk on Monday night for our famous Snowshoe Baseball! Be sure to get there early, though- the concession stand boasts the best selection of home baked pie (yes, pie!! Don't miss the strawberry rhubarb) in the world and slices sell out fast! Our home offers a fully equipped kitchen and live edge countertopped island with seating for 4 and a large dining table for meals when everyone is together. In the upstairs family room, there's a big TV for snuggling in with a movie on rainy days, and our home also has a big family room downstairs for a cutthroat game of Monopoly. On a sunny afternoon, grab one of our kayaks or paddle boards and paddle the lake- you might spot an elusive Loon calling to it's mate!

Our home offers the best of both worlds- a chance to connect with a group of friends and family, or a quiet couples vacation with lovely dinners out and peaceful conversations by the fire. There are 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards on site for you to use. Renting a boat or wave runner to water-ski, tube, fish or just chill? Arrangements can be made to launch on the lake in advance for a small fee. Only (1) boat allowed per rental. Please note the only pets we allow are dogs and the fee is $100 per dog per stay. Dog(s) needs to be on a leash at all times when outside.

- "The cabin is well stocked and there are lots of family friendly items provided for guests. There was an inaccuracy with the listing but it has since been corrected. Our family enjoyed our stay and will probably plan to return." - "Lots of stairs to climb and go down to get to the dock and up to the road. Doll House cabin was OK. Had no heat the first night and it was cold, but they came and turned on the fireplace, but then during the night it would get too hot (even on low) and we had to leave the doors open. When fireplace and gas oven would be used at the same time the fire alarm would go off and had to open all the doors. It did not seem smokey in the cabin, so maybe it was carbon dioxide that was detected, but the alarm stopped after both doors were opened for a while. The second bedroom bed were uncomfortable and one on the dresser side, don't sit on the end or the other end goes up and you go down like a teeter totter."

We saved this wonderful A-Frame after sitting un-used for many years, it's in great shape but like most cabins in Northern Wisconsin this one needs some updates to make our family and YOUR family happy!

If you’re looking for a perfect modern day house this is not for you. What River’s Edge Retreat does offer is truly an amazing North Woods Wisconsin cabin get away experience!
Upon entry you will walk into the kitchen / family room. Kitchen has a stove & cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator & island along with numerous cooking supplies. The refrigerator does have an ice maker. No need to bring bottled water. With the entire cabin having a filtration & water softener system the water is crystal clear!
Attached to the family room is a full bath & guest bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed & dresser.
Once you walk into the living room from the kitchen enjoy the rustic cabin feeling & beautiful riverfront views.
The spacious primary bedroom has a king size bed with closet & 2 dressers along with an attached private full bathroom that includes a washer/dryer & jet tub.

BUT don’t miss out on your time enjoyed Outside.
The beautiful northern part of Wisconsin River just footsteps from the front door! Catch glimpses of eagles soaring overhead, ducks & geese on the river & deer meandering through the woods.
Two docks are available for use to enjoy the excellent fishing on the river that is known for musky , northern, bass , walleye & panfish.
Challenge your family & friends to a couple yard games available including horseshoes & washers. Utilize the woodshed to relax by the campfire & try to solve all the world’s problems!

Also available is a Weber gas grill on patio for BBQ’S after your full day of play!

We do offer limited amount of tubes upon request for a river float that starts upstream & will bring you right to the cabin! You will definitely make unforgettable memories to last!

*****if you’re up for this the boat landing is upstream off HWY D just before rainbow flowage. This is about a 3 hour float with tubes to the cabin. Also PLEASE especially if you’re not a swimmer wear a live vest as there is a small rapids section about at the halfway point*****

River’s Edge Retreat is the perfect destination in any season with easy access to the 500+ miles of groomed snowmobile trails throughout Vilas County. Ice fishing, snow shoeing and cross-country. Enjoy snowshoeing, hiking & ice fishing from all the lakes nearby.
Minocqua Winter park is 34 miles away for skiing, sledding, skating & much more!

Enjoy access to entire 9 acre property except the Log fishing Hut.

The driveway is gravel with trees on both sides that is well maintained.

Guests will be granted a four digit pin upon check-in. This pin will be used to gain access to lock box that’s attached on the gate post at the beginning of driveway.
Inside the box will be the gate & cabin key.

The neighbor does have access to our driveway so the gate may not always be locked. If it happens to be open you still need to open lock box for cabin key.

You cannot see the cabin from gate. Once you get to a fork in driveway you will want to stay left which will take you right to the cabin! There are 4+ parking spots on the driveway or just off the driveway onto the grass.

We absolutely love animals but unfortunately pets are not currently allowed. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause with anyone hoping to stay with us.

Inside the cabin is 100% non-smoking. Feel free to outside just don’t leave cigarettes, etc on the ground. Dispose in the fire pit PLEASE.

Have FUN & let loose but this is NOT a party cabin. This is our family cabin that we utilize as much as we can. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

The enclosed sunroom is an ideal 3-season relaxation spot, while a dining/game room offers cozy seating, two tables, and a selection of board games for nostalgic fun. After a day of adventures, unwind in the living area with lake views that look like you are sitting right on top of it. You can also relax here by watching streaming shows and movies on the smart TV. A fireplace adds a touch of warmth during cooler evenings. The well-appointed, full kitchen boasts ample counter space, pantry storage, and all the appliances needed to prepare home-cooked meals. Additional conveniences include WiFi and a washer/dryer.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

LAKES: This home is a 7-minute walk to Bass Lake on a rustic winding trail through the woods and is very close to the Rainbow Flowage - both are full rec lakes with boat launches. The 3,100-acre Rainbow Flowage is home to northern pike, walleye, panfish, musky, and bass.

TRAILS: You can take off from your ATV or snowmobile right from the home to get onto the nearby trails. Check out the various Clubs on our "Destinations" page to navigate all the trail systems.

AREA: Lucky Bass Retreat is 10 min to Lake Tomahawk, 20 min to Minocqua, 15 min to St. Germain, and 30 min to Eagle River. This home borders the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest. Lake Tomahawk is home to the famous Snowshoe Baseball games played every Monday night in the summer and has several dining options.

You'll have access to the entire cottage, and there are 2 parking spaces in front of the garage. There is a private dock and lawn area right on the water's edge, complete with outdoor furnishings and private fire pit. The lawn area is not fenced in, and there are neighbors on both sides.

PLEASE NOTE: Trailers cannot be taken down Bayview Road! If you bring a boat, you can launch it in town (1/2 mile away), and you'll park your trailer at the common area at the top of Bayview Road. There are 2 parking spots in front of the garage. Please do not park in the road, as there are residences past ours.

Experience excellent fishing, water sports, and 63 miles of beautiful shoreline! Chalet Minocqua offers 2 paddleboards & a canoe for guest use. The water is just steps away...

PLEASE NOTE: Beginning June 17th, 7-night stays are required, with Friday to Friday check-in/check-out.

Winter season: The Northwoods offers so many winter activities to enjoy! From snowmobiling to hiking & snowshoeing, fat-tire biking, & cross-country ski trails so nearby. Minocqua Winter Park is 20 miles away for skiing, skating, sledding & so much more!

The towns of Minocqua, Eagle River, and St. Germain are a short drive away for even more exploration.

There are several families along our private road, so we ask that you please drive slowly (5 mph) and be aware of children playing. There are 4 spots to park (2 in front of the garage, 2 on the grass area with designated signs.) You will be entering in the lowest level with a key code provided prior to check-in.

Trailer parking is available at the top of the private drive. YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE A TRAILER DOWN THE ROAD, AS THERE IS NO TURN-AROUND AVAILABLE.
