- "We hate a late summer family vacation and this property was perfect. We had 4 days with just my husband, our dog and I and then our two children, their spouses and 10 month old babies joined the rest of the week. We had plenty of room for everyone. The house was perfect for us. Having a dog we were a little nervous as to what to expect but it was perfect. There was an extra leash and dog toys. All unexpected but appreciated. The lake access was perfect for for many games of fetch in the lake. The house had absolutely everything we needed and more. It had all the kitchen appliances you could possibly need. It had a highchair which was great and a portable crib. We did not use the portable crib but based on the quality of all of the other items I am sure it would be great. I would highly recommend this property."

Accessible from a public boat landing on County Road E, the lake provides plenty of room for recreational boating and paddling.

Explore the greater Northern Wisconsin’s “Lake Country” within minutes of the cabin. The Cedar Lakehouse is centrally located to the attractions and communities that define being “up north.” You will find shopping, dining, and attractions in Minocqua, 18 minutes away; and St. Germain, just 12 minutes down the road. Welcome to our cozy cabin nestled in the heart of Oneida County. We are steps from picturesque Bluegill Lake, a private lake with 21 acres of crystal-clear water surrounded by towering trees. Kayaks, paddleboat and swimming raft included. Fish for bass and bluegill right from the dock!
Escape the city but still be close to many restaurants, bars, shops etc.
Less than a mile from Bass Lake boat launch and less than 7 miles from Lake Tomahawk boat launch on the Chain of Lakes.

This well loved and maintained cabin is the prefect space for families or couples to enjoy all the Northwoods has to offer. We have made many updates including a brand new composite deck, new flooring, updated bathroom, new appliances and new furniture. Enjoy the spacious back yard with a gentle slope to the lake where you'll find a private pier, paddle boat, kayaks and a swimming raft.

A gas grill, fully stocked kitchen and gas range/stove make it easy to cook at home and enjoy a meal on the deck under the stars. If you would rather go out we are less than six miles from Lake Tomahawk, 12 miles from Saint Germain, 15 miles from Minocqua and 20 miles from Rhinelander.

LAKES: This home is a 10-minute walk to Bass Lake on a rustic trail through the woods and it is also very close to the Rainbow Flowage - both are full rec lakes with boat launches. The 3,100-acre Rainbow Flowage is home to northern pike, walleye, panfish, musky, and bass.

TRAILS: You can take off from your ATV or snowmobile right from the home to get onto the nearby trails. Check out the various Clubs on our "Destinations" page to navigate all the trail systems.

AREA: Lucky Bass Retreat is 10 min to Lake Tomahawk, 20 min to Minocqua, 15 min to St. Germain, and 30 min to Eagle River. This home borders the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest. Lake Tomahawk is home to the famous Snowshoe Baseball games played every Monday night in the summer and has several dining options.

WEEKLY REQUIREMENT: Due to Oneida County regulations, this property requires a minimum 7-night booking. Shorter bookings are not permitted, and we are subject to penalties for non-compliance. Sunday to Sunday dates from mid-June to mid-Aug, and flexible check-in and check-out dates the remainder of year. While the booking is for 7 nights, we understand you may not need the full duration, so non-summer rates are priced equivalent to a 3-night booking.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount, while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. Beautiful Large Home on Lake Tomahawk!

Our lake home is situated on 166 feet of prime Lake Tomahawk frontage on over an acre of land. The view is one of the best on the Minocqua Chain of Lakes and the west facing exposure provides gorgeous sunsets and warm sun all afternoon/evening.

We are a convenient 5 minute car drive to downtown Lake Tomahawk and 15 minutes to downtown Minocqua. Or you can travel by boat to either! Great swimming, boating, and fishing are right in the 'back yard.'

Our home has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 "living areas", office, main kitchen, and "prep kitchen" spread out over 5,300 sq. ft. The property also has 2 basketball hoops, sauna, and plenty of parking.

Top Level: Has 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a master bathroom and a king bed. The second bedroom has a king bed. The third bedroom has a single twin bed and a separate bunk bed (twin and twin).

Main Level: Has 1 bedroom & 1 full bathroom. The bedroom has a king bed.

Lower Level: Has 1 bedroom & 2 full bathrooms. The bedroom is a master suite with its own bathroom and has a king bed.

I'm originally from Milwaukee and my parents have a second home on the Minocqua Chain. So, I spent my childhood summers and many additional weekends Up North. My 3 "California" children enjoy the same wonderful experience every summer with my oldest saying it's "almost heaven." We also own vacation rentals in San Diego and Hawaii. Hence, over 24 years, we've had 1,000s of delighted water loving guests.

This 2-acre tree lined lot provides a peaceful location for your stay and offers direct lake access to full a 347-acre rec lake, a dock with frontage for swimming / kayaking and a large fire-pit area to enjoy the evening’s activities.

This quaint cabin has an open concept kitchen/living/dining area with two private bedrooms and one bathroom. Central air will help keep you comfortable during those hazy summer nights or the gas furnace to take the chill off in the fall mornings. A wood burning stove will keep the place warm and cozy as well.

You could not ask for a more peaceful get-away – Imagine sipping your morning coffee on the large wrap around deck or hearing the call of the eagles in the evenings while you roast marshmallows by the fire. My partner and our two year old son spent three nights here on our way up to the UP, and couldn't have enjoyed the property more. The cabin is incredibly clean, cozy, and quaint. We could tell a lot of thought was put into it by the owner. The deck being almost over the lake and providing a wonderful view and sitting area was my favorite part. We also enjoyed the firepit and the fact that you could be sitting at the fire and have a view of the lake. We did some fishing from the pier and caught some bullhead and panfish. My son and I also spent the better part of an afternoon swinging in a hammock and watching the eagles who were nesting just adjacent to the property. No joke the eagle viewing here was amazing. A few important things to note: -Shower was hot and soap/shampoo/conditioner are provided. Towels were clean. -We did use the A/C for one day, and it worked great. -Beds were very comfortable. -Internet worked great (I had to work a little bit and even took a Zoom call from the deck with no issues). -Proximity to Minocqua was great (like 10-15 minute drive). The only thing I think it's worth pointing out in this review is that the south side of the property is fairly open to another rental, so you'll see them a little bit especially on the driveway and down by the pier. But it's much more private on the deck. Tracy was wonderful in terms of communications, and we would certainly stay here again!"

Spend your vacation right on the lake! Spacious two bedroom house right on Horsehead Lake. You'll get the whole house to yourself. Two fireplaces, 1.5 baths, downstairs bar area, deck access from the bedroom and two twin beds for the kids. We love staying there so we know you will too! FYI this is a Main House that has four other cabins on the lot. The main grilling area and pier may be used by anyone staying.

Great access to trails from property. With amble parking there is more than enough room to bring trucks, trailers and sleds.
