Located just a short walk from Lake Erie and the historic GOTL Strip, the Dogwood is a fully renovated 1950's cottage with modern amenities and a vintage beach bungalow vibe. A built-in dining banquet and retro breakfast bar transition you into to our fully equipped kitchen. Modern appliances with a vintage look, butcher block countertops, and a reproduction drain broad sink ties in with the 50's retro feel. All you could need for preparing a perfect meal is located our open style cabinetry.

From the kitchen exit into our 3-season enclosed porch. Enjoy a meal or sip your morning coffee while peering into to our partially fenced back yard with forest views where you could spot some wildlife! In the evenings you could gather round our outdoor fire pit or grill up your favorite meals on our Weber propane grill.

Our 2 bedrooms are both adorned with pine ceilings, mid-century lighting, and retro decor. Both rooms include a queen bed and roomy closets. A recently added sleeping loft can accommodate 4, it has its own hangout spot with a TV, DVD player and an Xbox with a few games. This space is perfect for kids and teens. Please note it has low ceilings and has a ladder access that may not be suitable for young children.

Our 1st of 2 full baths has a tub/shower combo with subway tile, marble accents and beautiful pebble flooring. The 2nd bath has a stand-up shower and also includes the commercial washer and dryer. Both are equipped with towels too!

Take in all GOTL has to offer with just a short walk to the Strip where you'll find quaint shops, boardwalk style food venders, restaurants, and nightlife! Also, within walking distance is Geneva Township Park (non-swimming beach access) there are playgrounds, pavilions, and grills for a perfect picnic overlooking spectacular Lake Erie. A quick 10-minute drive will take you to Breakwater Beach to enjoy a day soaking up some sun, building sandcastles, or splashing in the waves! Or Geneva Marina may be a point of interest for all who love fishing and boating, it's also a quick 10-minute drive! Also, we are about a 15-minute drive from Spire Institute!!

Visit one or more of the wineries in the area. The family friendly Geneva on the Lake is only 5 miles down the road. Historic Ashtabula harbor has restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, ghost tours and more! Ashtabula County has 19 covered bridges including the longest and the shortest. Or stay at the cabin and enjoy a dinner on the grill and a toasty fire.

If you happen to run out of these supplies, don't worry. We're just a few miles away from Dollar General and Giant Eagle. Rest easy knowing that we also provide fresh linens and towels to ensure a comfortable stay.

The beautiful Grand River could be viewed from the living room window. The apartment is located near many wineries. Our favorites were Grand River Cellars, Debonne Vineyards, Laurello, and M Cellars."

DOGS ONLY- maximum 2 dogs, unless previously authorized.

- "There were several insects killed on the ceiling and not cleaned up. The silver appliances- the refrigerator and microwave were wiped down at one time. Whatever was used made a smearing look. It just didn’t look clean. I was afraid to use any kitchen appliance with my food so we ate all our meals out. That in turn cost us more money. There were black circular objects in the shower before I showered and even more after 3 or 4 shower. Don’t know where they came from and it was a bit alarming. Then there was no indication of where the towels and washcloths were located nor the extra garbage bags. Then if we run out of something we were told in a note to go buy it. After all this, there was a tip envelope for a cleaner. And we were appalled that we were required to wash the dirty towels. There was no instruction on what setting to use. My machine has a sanitize setting which I use for towels and sheets. Stripping the bed, is normal. We were to sign the guest book but we couldn’t find one to sign. There was no phone number given in case of an emergency. And no candles in case the electricity went out. Also, there was no snack basket or a breakfast basket It wasn’t very warm and inviting."

There is also a smart Roku tv that plays practically everything & has all your favorite apps!

We have a downstairs Rec room for a more exciting vibe! Plenty of games to play-pool, air hockey, 4 casino games, retro gaming, plus the Roku tv has an hdmi cable to hook up your console!

In the Live Room we have a dart board mounted at professional height & distance. Next, (one of my favorites!) we have a tiki toss game-it’s addicting! Lol! Finally, our main attraction in the Live room is our lovely 6’2 grand piano, we do ask that great care be taken as we wish to preserve this piano for many years to come :)

Great location! Right between the “strip “ and wineries! Well appointed. Snack basket and bath essentials (toothbrushes, toothpaste etc) was a nice touch. Nice back deck for morning coffee and deer watching! Lighting in the living room could be brighter. Hard to read in the limited lighting. But that was only minor to us. We will definitely be staying here in the future! Highly recommended!"

Fully remodeled in 2023, Lemon Drop Cottage is a Lake-Front property, with direct access to Lake Erie. Built in 1949 as a fishing cottage, we were fortunate to rescue some decorative ornaments that date to that era, and have been careful to retain much of the original rustic appeal and aura.The lake is viewable from both the Kitchen and Bedroom windows. Updates for March 2023 include new windows throughout, a fully remodeled bathroom, and a new 12K AC. Hickory and Maple hardwood floors replaced the originals, of the same species. New hot water heater, oven, kitchen table/chairs, a king-size mattress in the bedroom, and a twin-size sofa-bed in the living room. BBQ grill (propane provided), and fire pit with wood provided are on the private brick patio.

Lemon Drop Cottage is the perfect couples getaway, quiet & romantic, sitting on 1.6 acres, with the waters edge over 400ft from the road. Private and adorably decorated, the cottage is stocked like a tiny house, with all new amenities.The cottage is cleaned thoroughly after each and every guest, with all new towels, bed sheets, and pillowcases. A perfect getaway for a weekend, or those precious few days you can get away and relax. A stairwell with handrails takes you directly down to the water, where were sometimes you can find a few precious feet of beach. Several fire pits are situated within a few feet of the lake, each with Adirondack chairs so you can enjoy a fire, and perhaps even a glass of wine as you watch freighters out in the distance, sailboats, and of course the many beautiful sunsets, no two of which are exactly the same.

My place is close to the airport, IX center, and Baldwin Wallace College. You’ll love my place because of the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups, but thus room can occupy only two guests.

Our guests can access to airport, IX center, Metro-parks and Baldwin Wallace College very quickly, because they are very close to my home. CVS Pharmacy, Giant Eagle, Dollar Tree and Walmart are within 10 to fifteen minutes drive. Georio's Pizza, McDonald, Burger king and Chipotle are at quick access. Gas stations and auto shops are also very close.

During your stay
Since we live in this house, we are available 24 hours for help and support to our guests.

Other things to note
No early check in is allowed before 5:00 pm. Guests can use our coffee maker to make coffee (coffee powder, cream and sugar are provided), our internet for wifi, living area, and the deck. Guests are not allowed to use our kitchen ( especially cooking range) and our laundry.
Guests are allowed to use the shared bathroom only to shower and use the toilet not for any other purpose such as coloring hair etc.
A refrigerator is provided for each guest room.
No visitors other than the Airbnb gusts are allowed inside the house. No pets and children under 10 years allowed. Only one car per listing is allowed. Big trucks are not allowed.
This listing does not accommodate guests with infants and guests with wheel chair due to security reasons.
It’s a smoke free and alcohol free building so no smoking or using alcohol inside the house and no partying anywhere in the house including in the living or dining room.
