We have Lakeport plantation nearby that does tours on the only plantation home on the river that was not burned during the civil war. We are centrally located to enjoy other museums such as the Japanese internment camp, the B.B. King Blues museum, Kermit the frog, Poverty Point and many others.

Easy access to Hwy 82 if you are passing through. Even easier access to Lake Chicot if you want to drop in your boat and see if you can catch the limit of bass, crappie, catfish or bream.

This property is located directly on Lake Chicot where the lake drains into Ditch Bayou. We have a boat ramp and docks that can be used to access the water.
Bonus: boat slips, dock, incredible sunsets, lake view from porch!

When it's meal time, you'll find what you need in the full-size kitchen. Of course the basics: plate settings, silverware, cooking pots, pans, and utensils are there as well as coffee, coffee pot, and toaster. The full size stove top and oven are electric. The microwave is small, but packs a punch!

Down the hall are two bedrooms with a full bath between. The main bedroom offers a queen size bed, while the second bedroom provides twin bunk beds. Beds are fresh upon your arrival - we do full linen turns for all guests. You will have more than enough towels, but if you want more of anything, just let us know!

Outside the porch is a great place to catch the evening breeze! There is a fire pit and a charcoal grill for your use. It is BYOC (Bring Your Own Charcoal.)

Parking is available next to the cottage.

You have full use of the cottage, the porch and any outdoor fire pits and grills next to the cottage.

You can use the onsite boat ramp to launch a boat. Please move your truck and trailer after launching so other guests can use the boat ramp.

You can use one of the boat slips as part of your rental during your stay. You are responsible for the safety of all belongings left out.

You have access to the docks on premise and are free to fish off them if licensed to fish.

There is a small covered picnic area that is available on a first come basis.

There is a fish cleaning station. It currently required manual turn on / turn off of the water. Please contact us for detailed instructions if you want to use it.

If you need to do laundry, there is a shared separate laundry building available to guests. Please contact us for detailed instructions if you want to use it.

- "Our stay was good and directions were excellent. The cabin is one of many and was somewhat rustic but clean overall. We killed at least a dozen flies and bugs. The TV is a smart TV but no local channels or cable. It is located in an RV park but somewhat separate from the RV area. Would have been helpful to have directions for TV use and perhaps local restaurants list. "

Red Leaf #01 is a two bedroom efficiency cabin that is ADA compliant. Cabin one has a Full size bed in the first bedroom and twin in second bedroom. The cabin has a compact full size kitchen with two recliners and tv trays for dining area. The porch includes an ADA compliant ramp and a large porch to enjoy the view. The property boasts of a boat ramp fishing dock, fish cleaning stating, and boat slip for your enjoyment.

Converted upstairs of an 1800's carriage house the room was used to dry pecans before being turned into a 1 bedroom apartment with king size bed. A step down Jacuzzi jet bathtub & shower. Completely furnished with linens, dishes, pots pans, glasses, & silverware. Living room with an additional twin bed.

Warning: this unit is located up an iron stair case. For some guests this might be challenging, all other units are located on ground floor!!!!

The LuLa Belle suite cabin is based on a standard hotel room. We have a queen bed, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee pot. The private bathroom include a large shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Each room has high-speed Internet with a flat screen, smart TV.

This building was originally a cotton seed barn from when our family farmed cotton and owned a local cotton gin. We moved it into our property and refurbished it into 2 hotel suites.

Other things to note
We have an office open from 8 am -12 pm & 2 pm -6 pm and call forwarding for after hour emergencies. This is is a rural area near farms and Lake Chicot. We do ask for 10 pm quite hours so all guests can enjoy a good night stay. We allow grilling in the grass area near cabins (please do not set grills on porches for obvious fire hazards)
