- "We had a great stay! The adjustable beds were a definite plus. The house is super cute and comfortable. We enjoyed the lake view very much, watching all the ducks was very peaceful. And the development was super quiet. Great communications as far as directions, checking in & out, where to leave the trash, etc. There were just a few small details that could use improvement. A good frying pan would have been helpful, the ones that were provided needed serious cleaning. Luckily I was able to reach out to a friend who was staying with us and they were able to bring a pan from home. The inside of the stove needs cleaning. There were only 2 wash cloths for 4 people, no dishtowel, no extra trash bags and only 1 dishwasher detergent pod. (we did the dishes by hand) That being said, we would definitely stay here again, it wouldn't be enough to keep us from booking again, we would just make sure to bring more ammenities with us next time. My only real complaint, which is also an easy fix, is to make sure the shower floor is rinsed thoroughly after cleaning. Whatever was used left the shower floor super slippery. This could have caused a major injury instead of just a sore hip and knee. But again, the house is super cute, it has a great porch and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again. "

We received free cookies and and a beverage at check-in plus the promise of drinks or more cookies throughout our stay. You could enjoy this at the cafe or return to your room with a basket and eat in privacy. The rooms are clean and enough towels and toiletries were provided to last several days. The room included a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The had plenty of blankets and the pillowes are substantial, not those flimsy puffs of air you get at some hotels. We took advantage of the close proximity of all the shops Smithville had to offer by walking for hours and then enjoyed dinner at Fred and Ethels later that night. We would love to return to this Inn again!"

The space is complete with fresh towels, linens, toiletries, and snacks. There is a full kitchen as well as a grill. Open the glass door to a wonderful large screened porch to read, nap, enjoy a cup,or eat outdoors. The backyard faces the beautiful National Edwin B. Forsythe Nature Refuge. A true gem!
