The only shortcomings were 1) karate classes right outside our window in the evenings (m/w/th) 2) there are still some unfinished areas so view from kitchen window was not very appealing (I expect this will resolve once they are finished fixing up that area of the property) 3) if you need information about things to do in the area you are on your own. It would be great if they had a guide to the area as some vacation homes do We would definitely stay here again! It is such a delightful change from your standard hotel rooms. Perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring the Everglades! And let me put a word in for Yardie Spice restaurant- a little jewel of Carribean / Haitian cooking about twenty min from the house. "

The pool has Koi and other fish to balance the natural environment. The pool can be swam in or just dangle your feet. This pond is a natural fresh water lagoon, built with florida limestone. The temperature is approximately 72 degrees year round. Some algae and leaves in pond may be present and is normal. Please use caution and watch your head if entering.
