I received ANOTHER message “apologizing for the inconvenience and understanding my concern” But asking AGAIN, to let the investors in. I again stated that no, I was not comfortable with that. THEN someone called me on the phone and tried to force me into saying yes, and making it seem like there was no choice. After asking if I had the option to refuse they finally let it go. I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out if I was going to have to deal with someone coming by again or more harassing phone calls. It put quite the damper on a spring break trip for my kiddos. "

We never felt unsafe as the neighborhood is a "transitional" neighborhood. I walked half a mile to the Aldi for groceries and down the street to McDonalds for coffee. We mainly took Ubers to and from where we needed to go. I can't overstate how cute this condo was and simple things like plenty of fresh PLUSH towels, coffee and filters ready to use and even umbrellas for that occasional Chicago summer rain. My host kept an open line of contact with me and was always available. Beds were all plush and comfortable. I suspect the condo has recently been remodeled and a lot of love has gone into this unit. Our Ubers downtown to Fulton Market for eating and to Union Station ran about $17. Our Ubers to McCormack Place ran about $12. Two of the bedrooms have windows to the street and some street noise is detectable. The smaller room doesn't have a window to the street so it is normally very quiet. I encourage you to stay at this property."

- "We loved the place and had plenty of room for all of us. Very centrally located to downtown Chicago, and Chinatown. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean and spacious. Really appreciated the kitchen supplies and condiments available. Only suggestion is kitchen needs more sliverware and would love to have more seating area in the living room. One sofa is not enough. Another suggestion is placing a TV in every bedroom. For a large group, I highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay here again!"

- "I enjoyed my stay and it made Chicago affordable " - "Nice, cozy little space. Host was most responsive. Kitchenette area was small but good enough. She had left some food (noodles & oatmeal packets a nice variety of granola bars for us to partake, which was a nice touch. The only reason for an overall rating of four stars out of five was that we were three adults, and while the couch did make for a bed, that was not comfortable enough by any means. In fairness, the host did bring out an inflatable air bed, but sadly that too had a slow leak, and we just decided to make do with the couch."

The Space:

Before we can confirm any booking, we do need to know:
1. What brings you into town?
2. How many people will be staying at the home?
3. Do you expect any visitors, if so how many?

Not a party house! Strict rules against any parties or any smoking in the home. If you are looking to party this is not the home for you! We do have two RING cameras. One at the front and the back entrance. Do not block the cameras.

We may require an ID & signed Rental Agreement or a refundable deposit prior to check in.
We do NOT allow late check out. There is a charge of $25/10 min after 11AM.

We do not have keys or access to our mailbox.

We do have Ring Cameras outside the property. Any blocking of the cameras will lead to an automatic eviction, forfeiture of security deposit, no refund and a fine. Please do not block these cameras

- "We had a great time in Chicago. We brought our children, my parents, my husband’s Mom and both of our sisters to celebrate our son graduating from UChicago Law School. The listing said it slept 10. For us It actually slept 8 and that was still tight. There was an air mattress in the closet that we didn’t use. My son and Dad slept half of each night on the ends of the couch, not pulled out as a bed, due to being so cramped in their beds sharing them. My sister in law and mother in law thankfully had decided to stay in a hotel so we ended up with 8 with us. With only two bathrooms that’s also an issue for 8 people trying to get ready to go anywhere. It’s all doable and the savings of staying in one place versus paying for three hotel rooms for four nights was still worth it. The location was good, we aren’t city people but felt comfortable by the next couple of days in the area, we had a car so we learned about reading the signs like they recommend or you will get a ticket(the owner kindly reimbursed us). I’d love to see more towels, washcloths(there weren’t any until we asked), sheets(there were no top/flat sheets) for that large of a crowd. Seating for that many to hang out at night together needs improvement, maybe add another couch or a sectional. I don’t usually leave reviews but realize how I need them for myself when deciding to stay somewhere. My famous line is you can’t smell a picture, this place didn’t smell bad, was clean, we made the most of the space. Thank you."
