There are two bedrooms on the main floor where guests can enjoy a restful night on luxurious queen-sized beds. The main floor also includes a full bath with a tub and shower, perfect for unwinding at the end of a busy day.

The lower level is set up as a suite complete with a kitchenette, laundry facilities, TV area, spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed and sitting area, plus a bathroom with a large shower.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1600sf home has it all! The master en-suite has a king bed, 2 walk-in closets, a large vanity and a shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with 2 twin bunks with ladders and rails above. Each bedroom has smart TVs for all your streaming needs. Just enter your passwords!

A 2nd bath, located just outside bunk house room, has a large vanity and a shower.

The laundry room has a front load washer and dryer and your basic laundry needs are provided. An iron and a countertop ironing mat are provided.

The FULLY stocked kitchen has everything you will need to cook any of your meals. Whether you are using the stove or the gas grill on the covered patio, you will want for nothing! Just bring your refrigerated items! Electric frying pan, hand mixer, Pizza Pizzaz machine, Fridge with ice and water, drip coffee maker with coffee provided. All BBQ utensils are provided.

The living room features a large, electric sectional for relaxing. A 65” Smart TV and gas fireplace complete this large area. Plenty of books and games are also available.

The patio door leads to a large, covered porch where the grill and outdoor seating and gas fire pit are located. The home is situated on a beautiful, tree-filled lot. The morning and night views are phenomenal and occasional deer make an appearance. Sit on the patio with your morning coffee and take in the sights!! Or stroll through the state park to start the day or end your night!

Our close proximity to all Lake Madison has to offer is the BEST part! We are located approximately 8 miles from Madison, 6.5 miles from the ever-popular Broadwater Bar, 3 miles from the Lakes Golf Course and Lakes Bar and Grill, 1.5 miles to the Hillside Resort, and a half mile from Walker’s Point State Park. There is plenty of parking for vehicles and boat trailers on the site. Ramp access requires state fee unless you have one. Fish cleaning must be done at state park.

There is room for a camper on concrete driveway, and there’s a dedicated site for a tent. Both are additional fees. No hook ups available for sewer, water or electricity. You must provide power cords for each.

Pets are welcome!! Maximum of 2 dogs. Leashes and tie outs are nonnegotiable. Renters are responsible for cleaning up after pets. Dog dishes and plastic bags are also provided.

Owners are close but not on property. Should anything need attention, they can be on site within minutes. Keyless check in and check out.

Please read thoroughly: We are happy to share our family get-away with you! We acquired this property to use personally and offer it to guests when not in-use by our own family and friends.

As a family, we all chip in to do our own cleaning and maintenance. We are not master landscapers or green-thumbs but we try our best. You will be in a rural setting and all that goes with it such as gravel road dust & mosquitoes to name a few. You will not find hotel corners on the beds and perfect creases in the towels, but you will find a tidy place where we like to spend family time.

This home has made great memories for a lot of guests! No frills!! This is an older constructed home. We cannot offer glitter, sparkle, shine or the latest and greatest technology. We do offer you a spot to lay your head, relax and bond with family and friends. Which is exactly how we use it. We provide basic amenities (bedding , towels & kitchen items) that we don't want to travel with so we share with our guests. We hope you can make memories of your own.

Unit features full kitchen & laundry, living room with gas fireplace and a full bath. This cabin has A/C unit and sleeps 5-6 adults.

Welcome to our family lake home we have nicknamed Millie’s on Lake Madison! We have made wonderful memories here over the years, and we hope you do as well. The cabin is lakefront with a covered patio overlooking the lake. This is a quiet place to connect with family and friends, go fishing, play board games, and relax. We have recently added a sandbox and tetherball to the property for even more outdoor fun! The property also has a fire pit, corn hole set, and propane grill.

A unique feature of the cabin is that we are located on a point, so you will see water from both the front and back of the property! The water is such a beautiful back drop for all outdoor activities.

You are welcome to bring your own boat and tie it to our dock. You can put your boat in the water at the public lake access just down the road at Johnson’s Point. Pontoon, kayak, and paddle boards may be available for rent through Hillside Resort. We are happy to share our beach towels and life jackets with you during your stay, but we encourage you to bring your own in case you need different sizes then what we have available.

Lake Madison is a great lake for swimming and fishing! Occasionally the lake may experience both high and low water levels as well as unexpected algae blooms. Thank you for understanding that the conditions of the lake are ever changing and often unpredictable. We may not have control of the weather or lake conditions, but we will do everything in our power to provide you with a 5 star stay!

We have a fire pit and outdoor propane grill available for your use. We hope your family will enjoy Millie’s outdoor amenities including a sandbox, tetherball, and corn hole set. We have many games, puzzles, DVDs, books, television streaming options and children’s toys available for indoor entertainment. The indoor fireplace is not in service. We have one video/audio security camera with recording capabilities that covers the back entrance and driveway of the property. The camera is on at all times. Tampering with the camera or internet connection is grounds for immediate termination of stay.

The cabin is less than 10 miles from the city of Madison which offers a grocery store, restaurants, a hardware store, and shopping! We are about 45 miles from Sioux Falls. If you decide to stay in and cook we have many kitchen amenities including a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, pots and pans, air fryer, crock pot, drip coffee maker, and pizazz pizza oven but no dishwasher. We also have a washer and dryer for your use!

Millie’s on Lake Madison is just under 1,000 sq feet, 3 bedroom/5 beds and 1 bath. The most comfortable occupancy for the space would be 6 guests or less. We love pets but unfortunately we are unable to accommodate them at the cabin. Thank you for understanding! There’s nice sand toys for the kids and the kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. We also enjoyed the paddle boat and the nearby neighborhood park that was within walking distance. The couch on the deck was comfy to drink morning coffee or watch sunsets from. HVAC was great and kept everything very cool during the upper 80 degree days. Overall stay was nice and relaxing!"

Cobwebs were in the windows and on the lights, and that is just the beginning. I contacted the owner on Wednesday night, my first night there. She responded 48 hours later that her cleaning lady could not come until Monday, but that her son could come over and clean the bathroom. I had already cleaned the other bathroom by then and I was already several days into the stay, so it didn’t really matter at that point. The description also listed a Smart TV. Upon arrival, I reached out to the owner for the WiFi password, and was informed that the home did not have internet. How can you have a Smart TV with no internet? The TV was only set up to watch VHS and DVDs. No cable, no antenna, and no streaming service. I appreciate that the intent of the owners was to “share their beautiful lake home”, but this home needs a good deep clean, WiFi, and declutter before it is rented again. I was incredibly disappointed."

The Grandview Lake House is nestled in an older residential neighborhood near the northwest corner of Lake Madison. Recently renovated, this home does not have private lake access, but several public access points are a short drive away. The property offers parking for 3-4 vehicles, or a combination of vehicles and a boat. Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs, an outdoor fire pit, and a four-burner Blackstone grill.

Upon entering, there's ample space for seating and shoe removal. The home provides flexible accommodations, including a small room with a full-sized bed and a larger room with both a queen bed and a full bed. Additional sleeping options include a rollaway twin bed, two small toddler cots, a couch, and a futon. The full kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and all essential cooking supplies, along with a dining table for four and a smaller table for two. A full bathroom features a stand-up shower, and the washer and dryer are located at the back of the bathroom. The rear entryway serves as extra storage space or a sleeping area with the twin bed.

We ask all guests to respect the home and neighborhood by maintaining a peaceful environment. Please be aware that the neighborhood can be noisy in the summer, and neighbors may set off fireworks at random times. Surrounding neighbors also have pets, so we ask that you keep your pets leashed to prevent any issues. The gravel driveway can track dirt inside, so we kindly request that you remove your shoes upon entry to help keep the home clean.

Plenty of beds- though we didn’t need it, one bedroom has a king conversion set for the twins in that room, which could be handy. It is an older home by construction so the stairs are a little steeper than a newer home. The shower is on the second floor; the laundry is in the basement. It is fantastic location to access the college. Sioux Falls and Brookings both are only about 45 minutes or so and have lots of things to do if you want a big city vibe but quiet home."

There is direct lake access and over 100 feet of shoreline. Full kitchen with most utensils. Full bath. Laundry. Yard with rainbow playset. We have a four person maximum, if circumstances call for more you may request but not guaranteed. Sorry, no pets.

The Grandview Lake House is nestled in an older residential neighborhood near the northwest corner of Lake Madison. Recently renovated, this home does not have private lake access, but several public access points are a short drive away. The property offers parking for 3-4 vehicles, or a combination of vehicles and a boat. Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs, an outdoor fire pit, and a four-burner Blackstone grill.

Upon entering, there's ample space for seating and shoe removal. The home provides flexible accommodations, including a small room with a full-sized bed and a larger room with both a queen bed and a full bed. Additional sleeping options include a rollaway twin bed, two small toddler cots, a couch, and a futon. The full kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and all essential cooking supplies, along with a dining table for four and a smaller table for two. A full bathroom features a stand-up shower, and the washer and dryer are located at the back of the bathroom. The rear entryway serves as extra storage space or a sleeping area with the twin bed.

Capacity
The house comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, with the option for more if you bring an airbed or use the couch for sleeping. There is only one full bathroom, but the spacious layout allows for flexible arrangements and storage.

Guests have access to the house and 300 feet of shoreline beach directly in front of and to the south of the property. Additional parking is available in the gravel driveway to the north, in front of the three-stall garage.

Please note that the beach is rocky, so you may want to bring water shoes. The outdoor patio furniture, dock, and outdoor shower are seasonal amenities. The dock's availability depends on water conditions and levels.
