- "DO NOT STAY HERE!!! By far the worst experience I’ve had on Hotels.com. These guys are scam artist slumlord airbnb guys, and my whole experience with the hosts and the Hotels.com was awful. When I booked it was a new listing with no reviews, so I took a chance. The pictures looked good and I like the neighborhood. But when I was leaving for my trip I checked the listing and saw that they had double booked someone and had refused to give them a refund. When I hadn’t been sent my check-in information the day before i was leaving, I called the property and one of the guys was super rude to me. It didn’t feel good, so I tried to cancel and get a refund, but they wouldn’t budge. Hotels.com refused to help me too, despite the fact that the property was not following any kind of standard protocol that I’ve experience on any rental app. By the time I landed in NY, I still hadn’t received the address of the property or check-in instructions. Spending the first hour of my trip in the airport on the phone begging Hotels.com agents to help me wasn’t fun. Be warned, they will not treat you well. The apartment is super run-down, and not very clean. Not enough towels. I’ve stayed at a wide variety of airbnb’s in NY and this one was the worst by a mile. Don’t stay here!!!"
