- "DO NOT STAY HERE!!! By far the worst experience I’ve had on Hotels.com. These guys are scam artist slumlord airbnb guys, and my whole experience with the hosts and the Hotels.com was awful. When I booked it was a new listing with no reviews, so I took a chance. The pictures looked good and I like the neighborhood. But when I was leaving for my trip I checked the listing and saw that they had double booked someone and had refused to give them a refund. When I hadn’t been sent my check-in information the day before i was leaving, I called the property and one of the guys was super rude to me. It didn’t feel good, so I tried to cancel and get a refund, but they wouldn’t budge. Hotels.com refused to help me too, despite the fact that the property was not following any kind of standard protocol that I’ve experience on any rental app. By the time I landed in NY, I still hadn’t received the address of the property or check-in instructions. Spending the first hour of my trip in the airport on the phone begging Hotels.com agents to help me wasn’t fun. Be warned, they will not treat you well. The apartment is super run-down, and not very clean. Not enough towels. I’ve stayed at a wide variety of airbnb’s in NY and this one was the worst by a mile. Don’t stay here!!!"

- "We stayed at George's place during the pandemic so we could visit my sister who had a baby. The place is wonderful! It's much bigger than it seems in the pictures. We all worked and did distance learning during our week there and while we were all in the same one bedroom, we always felt we had anough space to get everything done. The place is set up like a time share - everything you need is there. And George is great. They even had some extra masks and hand sanitizer available. We ate in a lot, cooked pasta, eggs, you name it. But we also did a lot of take out. The food in Jackson Heights is amazing! On every corner there was a new place I wanted to try. George's place is in walking distance to everything, including the subway. We felt very safe our entire time there. And La Guardia is just a few minutes away. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area! Great Place!"

One bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a brownstone in the Bedford-Stuy/Bushwick border neighborhood. One full-size bed in the bedroom and one convertible couch in the living room which can sleep another two people with a new kitchen and bath. It was stocked with amenities in the kitchen: a long with towels, fans, irons, etc. The residents upstairs were a bit heavy-footed at times, so that was a bit annoying, but hey, what are you going to do about that? Lol. The flies in the kitchen and living room area were a bit annoying, but it was just due to being on the Garden level where the trash containers are located. The trash containers were tidy and emptied on a regular basis. The neighborhood is great! It definitely feels like you are in Brooklyn ! We loved that. You also can't beat the fact that the grocery store and laundry mat are right on the corner. We also commuted everyday to Manhattan so we couldn't have asked for a better commute! The buses were right there!! The only other thing I can think of is for fire safety, there should have been another door to exit from instead of just the front door. Jeremy was a great Host, and was super responsive!! Great stay, and I would definitely stay here again!!"

GETTING AROUND:
There is street parking available, but we recommend using Subway trains as main means of transportation all over. Train station is right around the corner :) we don’t recommend bringing a car to New York as public transit is easier and faster.
M, J, G, Z train lines are minutes walk from the house, L train - a 10 minute walk.

IMPORTANT DETAILS TO NOTE:
There is free street parking on our street however it is depending on availability. Personally, 95% of the time I find a parking spot right outside the house, however, sometimes I have to drive around the block a couple of times, it depends on if it's a busy season in NYC...

There's one full bathroom in your apartment, if you would like to use "Bathroom 2" & "Bathroom 3" upstairs you will have to exit your unit and go into the other door to go upstairs. Reach out to the manager for the door code of the upper apartment.
