This apartment is a 2 bedroom in-law suite on the first floor of our home. The spacious bedrooms feature 2 twin daybed and 1 queen size bed. Each bedroom has access to the back deck with amazing views of the wildlife refuge. The bathroom is equipped with a oversized shower with grab-bars. There is also a small, fully equipped eat-in kitchen. It's a great place for that first cup of coffee in the morning or a sunset dinner! Unlike many beach homes, there are only about 6 steps to walk up to this first floor reteat.

Clear your mind and relax in all that nature has to offer, welcome to Snow Goose, a bright open bungalow. Nestled among the evergreens and beach plums, just steps from the sandy dunes of Broadkill Beach. Two bedrooms and one bath, we have queen beds in each bedroom and a twin daybed in the main living area.

Broadkill Beach is located on the Delaware Bay, just north of Cape Henlopen and Lewes Beach. Broadkill offers public beach access for swimming, surf fishing, and boating and kayaking in the gentle waters. As a natural beach, there are no lifeguards. The community is surrounded by Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and Beach Plumb Island Nature Preserve, making it a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers and other wildlife. Broadkill Beach is an official sanctuary for horseshoe crabs, the state marine animal of Delaware and a "signature species" of the Delaware Bay Estuary. Truly a magical place.

Rehoboth Beach is approximately 20 minutes south of Broadkill Beach.
The only business located in Broadkill Beach is The Broadkill Store, a general store sometimes referred to by locals as the "Broadkill Mall," which sells sandwiches, grocery items, bait & tackle, beach toys, souvenirs and homemade donuts on the weekends.

Vacation in peace and quiet on a beach so empty it's as if it were your own. If you love nature and the feel of being away from it all, Broadkill Beach is the right place for you. Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge runs all along the small unincorporated community of Broadkill. However, if you need them, a grocery store, several restaurants, Dogfish Head Brewery (free tours and tastings), the Milton Library (there's a park behind it, right on the Broadkill River, with new playground equipment) and the restored 105+-year-old Milton Theater (featuring live theater, musical and comedy acts and movies), Puttin' on the Ritz beauty salon, and McDonald's, are all located in the quaint historic town of Milton and only a 15 minute drive away. Within 20 to 30 minutes (not including traffic, which can be rough in summer - which is why we like Milton!) there are plenty more restaurants, outlet shopping, a movie theater, Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk with rides for kids of all ages, arcades, fries, candy, popcorn, and a vibrant night life, Lewes Beach, and Cape Henlopen State park. Our two bedroom, one and a half bath home is recently remodeled and upgraded. It is directly bayfront, just steps down the wooden path (so you don't get those sand burrs in your feet) and over the dune to the beach! Cute, cozy bungalow with all the comforts of home and necessary appliances, too. Two bedrooms - one queen bed and one twin bunk bed. There is also a queen air mattress for extra sleeping space, since we no longer have a sleeper sofa. Features a large wraparound deck and a ground level outdoor shower. No need to bring your own towels (bath or beach), sheets, blankets or pillowcases - we supply those! There are binoculars and a telescope for watching dolphins, planets, birds, ships on the bay and more. The house is on pilings, so main living area is up one flight of stairs. Part of the lower level has been enclosed and finished and includes two rooms, accessible from the outside, one with laundry facilities and a half bath, the other is currently used for storage of many of the fun extras like beach chairs, sand toys, fishing poles, etc. Easy check in, no worries here. The decks give you unobstructed views of the beach and water. Our guests enjoy watching from our decks their children playing on the beach. You can watch the array of wildlife as gentle waves dance in before your eyes. The house is a quiet haven to relax, work, and just unwind.
Our beach, that extends to the end of South Bayshore Drive, is extremely isolated. There is no street parking so no one else can access our beach. No permits are needed for parking. Our driveway can hold 9 cars. You will be lured into taking long, peaceful, walks in either direction where you may see dolphins, crabs, eagles, osprey, owls, hawks, and other wildlife. The wide, flat beach creates a huge playground for games and fun for beach lovers of all ages. The water is warm and shallow, with a smooth sandy bottom.
For your convenience we provide for you the following:
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent pods,dishwasher detergent, dish soap, multipurpose cleaner, trash bags - both for recycling and regular - olive oil, assorted spices, drip coffee filters and liquid soap for the sinks.
In addition, we provide linens and towels: 11 of the following: fluffy bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup washcloths and kitchen towels.
For families we also have available: Graco Pack and Play, crib sheet, highchair, silicone infant plates and utensils, children's plates, cups and utensils, Aveeno baby shampoo and lotion, board books, children’s books, board games, and a craft table with paper. There are also two step stool- one is tan colored and the other issue bright pink and white one usually found in the kitchen closet.
Prior to your arrival I will send out a list of recommendations of places to go, restaurants, grocery stores and other information to help you get prepared for your trip to our paradise.
Every bed gets the following: soft sheets, blankets, bedspread/quilts, pillow protectors, pillowcases, and pillow shams. Every week all the towels and linens are commercially laundered. In addition, the bedspreads, pillow shams and blankets are also commercially laundered. We send over 125 pounds of laundry every week to be cleaned. These laundry costs are part of the cleaning fee for the house.
First floor.
Child items are located in the first floor along with in the second floor. On the main floor, you will love the large wraparound deck where you can enjoy breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets. On the deck are many chairs, a picnic table, and propane BBQ; all elements that create an inviting atmosphere for lounging, dining, and viewing the water and beach. On a clear day or night, you can see all the way across the Bay to Cape May, 14 miles away.
WIFI! The living room has cable and Apple TV with DE highest speed internet Wi-Fi. This nine-foot ceiling room includes a large cabinet/bookcase where you will find many books and games. Both the living room and adjacent sunroom have comfortable, upholstered chairs and sofas for gathering. The sunroom, full of windows and light, has always been a favorite place for guests to congregate because of the incredible views and comfortable environment both for sunrises and sunsets. It has a sliding door to the main deck. You can also close an inner sliding door for privacy from the living room. The house’s open floor plan is spacious and welcoming with the beach and water always in view.
You move seamlessly from the living room and sunroom to the sitting area, dining room and kitchen. Enthusiastic cooking guests enjoy our well-stocked kitchen. We have many new major appliances. For example, our new gas range has three oven options: standard gas oven, convection oven and crisp fryer option. Our new state of the art refrigerator has the latest elements for all your needs. *See below for all the appliances we offer. The large kitchen is complete with granite countertops, bamboo wood flooring, and an extensive supply of cooking accessories.
The dining area right in the kitchen area can seat 11 people comfortably - more if you want to add the folding table. The propane grill is right outside the sliding glass door from the kitchen. This floor also has a full bath with shower, toilet and vanity. The new washer and dryer are in the hallway leading to the bathroom. The iron, and board and a clothes steamer are located in the front closet. The full assortment of appliances are readily available in the kitchen closet for your use - including a Vitamix blender, regular blender, drip coffee machine, Keurig ,and many more useful amenities. Some are listed on the amenities page, and these are more: large electric griddle, electric skillet, crock pot, waffle maker.
Second floor - bedrooms and bathrooms
Child items are located on this floor also . All commercially cleaned linens and towels are on the second floor. Either they are on three king and beds themselves in a basket and the other twins, full sheet for the futon, all extra blankets are located in the hall closet labeled on the shelves. Bedrooms - The four bedrooms upstairs all have 12' vaulted ceilings and offer lots of light and views. The large primary bedroom suite has its own spacious completely renovated bathroom with a shower, soaking tub, double sinks, and hair dryer. This bedroom also has its own private porch that faces the beach. Two more spacious bedrooms are on this floor. The peach bedroom has a king bed and a couch. Another bedroom has a king bed and a twin bed and trundle. The fourth bedroom has a futon bunkbed with a double bed below and a twin bed above. In addition, this bedroom has a large apple TV. This bedroom has a large sliding glass door leading to the upper deck with unparalleled views. The other upstairs completely renovated bathrooms includes a toilet, shower and counter with double sinks, fire extinguisher, and hair dryers. We have first aid kits. They are located in a cabinet on the back side of the kitchen counter which faces the beach. In that cabinet you will find placemats.

Ground floor - garage .
The garage is stocked with abundant numbers of beach chairs of all sizes, ( at least 14 chairs and additional children's chairs)umbrellas, beach toys, a full-size boogie boards and beach games. You will find a two-person kayak, and a paddle board that can also be used as a kayak. Numerous life jackets are there in the garage also.

There are enough beds to comfortably sleep 7 guests. In addition to this, there is one fold- out couch and another couch in the downstairs living area which can accommodate a few more guests if needed. The large master bedroom suite contains a king size bed as well as a fold out couch allowing this room to accommodate up to four guests. The stunning on suite bathroom has a beautiful shower and a large linen closet that holds towels, linens, and other luxuries you may need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Off the master suite is a second deck with seating for two that overlooks the Primehook National Wildlife Refuge. Catch a glimpse of the local birds and other wildlife while sipping your morning coffee on the deck.

The bottom floor offers another living area, two more bedrooms, a full bath, and the laundry room. Bedroom two is a beautifully decorated room with a full size bed that can accommodate up to two guests. Bedroom three is a bright, spacious bedroom which has one full size bed and one twin size bed allowing this room to accommodate up to three guests. The bottom floor living area includes a very comfortable couch and a flat screen TV perfect for curling up and relaxing with a movie or a good book.

Outside is a fully functioning outdoor shower to clean off the sand from a fun day at the beach. The house is on a corner lot which provides plenty of space for parking multiple cars. We looked high and low for the "perfect" beach property for years. We've spent many Sunday afternoons taking a stroll on the beach (even in winter!). For the days you want more social interaction, it is only a fifteen to twenty minute drive to the following places: touring the Dogfish Head Brewery, shopping at the outlets in Rehoboth, taking in a movie at the Movies of Midway, walking the historic district of Lewes, Delaware’s first settlement, or strolling the boardwalk at Rehoboth (the younger ones will definitely want to tour Funland).

We believe you will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere as much as we do. Our home has two queen beds, and a bunk bed for a total of six guests. The house is built directly on the beach with trees on both sides giving the sense of real personal space. During the last beach replenishment, a double fenced sand dune was placed in front of all properties with access points added every few hundred feet. Our house sits right at one of those entrance points.

The two garage spaces, under the house, are accessible from the inside in case of inclement weather. It is also where the grills are kept. Additional parking is available in the driveway.

We are located at the south (less populated and, therefore, quieter) end of Broadkill Beach. Our home is right ON THE BEACH, so you can see and hear the waves and beach wildlife. Our section of Broadkill is quiet and peaceful. We are a short drive from the boardwalk and activity in Rehoboth Beach or the quaint shops in Lewes.

We are Pet Friendly. The cost for pets is $150 per stay (for up to 2 pets).

The historic town of Milton has a charming downtown at the beginning of the Broadkill River. Most restaurants overlook the river or fresh water Wagamon’s pond. Fishing off the docks or on the pond are favorite locations for avid anglers to catch a meal. The state record largemouth bass was caught here.

The Milton Museum gives the history of the town as a shipbuilding town during colonial time as well as button making from clam shells, rope making, and holy garland in the late fall to sell in Philadelphia.
The practically self sustaining Dogfish Head brewery was once a cannery, and now includes beer making, a distillery, and casual restaurant. Plan on spending an afternoon there and play some bocce ball if it is not too hot.

Everyone enjoyed crabbing and fishing and then steaming the crabs! My daughter and son in law even harvested muscles by kayak and steamed them to perfection. The beach was nice and we even had it to ourselves during the week. The grandsons loved the water and hunting for sand crabs. The location is amazing and you are far from the maddening crowds but close enough to enjoy Lewes and Rhehobeth being only minutes away. Rain one evening provided for a movie night with popcorn included! With televisions in each bedroom, those who wanted to watch a favorite show, could retreat to the bedrooms for some down time. All in all, everyone had a wonderful time. Great place!"
