- "This trip was to visit Seattle and some of the national parks, and this location was perfect. It was close to the highways when we needed to use our rental car. We took the water taxi over to Seattle several times and it was a great way to avoid the parking hassles in Seattle. We drove the rental car down to the harbor to catch the water taxi and were always able to find parking." - "Had a great stay and Michelle was an awesome host. Maximum occupancy is 4 adults. This is an apartment on the lower level of a brand new custom built home that was featured in the Seattle Times, Pacific Northwest Magazine - Architecture issue September 18th, 2016. The apartment is approximately 900 square feet (274 sq meters). All floors are concrete with in floor heating so your feet will be nice and warm. Extra insulation has been added to the ceiling and walls to make this space especially quiet for both guest and host!
It is completely private with a separate outside entrance. All Windows are imported from Europe. The ceilings are over 9 feet tall and the windows go from floor to near ceiling height. They are HUGE to allow maximum light to enter the apartment and have tilt/turn style operations.
- "The neighborhood was lovely for walking around, and the view of Seattle was all that it was promised to be. We had a comfortable stay. The property is very quiet, well kept and modern. The living room area was a little small and there wasn’t much comfortable seating, so we wound up, not using it much. A lamp would help for readers. We appreciated the very comfortable beds and bathroom . The kitchen needs a few more cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. The owner seems perfectly nice."

Casa Florence is a beautiful 1936 house located on a serene bluff with expansive westward ocean and island views.
Named after Ms. Florence, who lived in the house over 60 year, and at 102 years old decided to move into a smaller place.
The house sits far back from the street on a view bluff. There is ample street parking. 20 wide and gradual stairs through the park-like front yard bring you to this amazing setting.
The main floor has a large living room with enormous picture windows to the view. A beautiful dining room also allows access to the 150 sq ft entertaining deck. The fully appointed kitchen has all the dishes and equipment necessary to cook the meal of your dreams, or to spread out a take-out feast.
The grand staircase leads up the large master bedroom with seating area and view windows. The 2nd bedroom is also upstairs, its flexible configuration has two twin beds which convert to full sized beds. This is also a view bedroom. The spa-like bathroom is also upstairs. It includes a large deep vintage tub for soaking and a separate shower.
The house is a westward facing bluff. Set far back from the street, with city forest land below it, the location is serene. Casa Florence offers stunning 180 degree ocean views of the Puget Sound and its silently gliding ferry boats and ship traffic, islands across the water and the Olympic Mountains.
And the sunsets! The house faces west and golden sunlight fills the house every afternoon and evening. Each day has its own special sunset.
Privacy - nearly all windows face the view, giving guests excellent privacy and opportunity to enjoy the view at the same time.
Sorry, no dogs. No emotional support animals either. Only service animals that have been extensively trained to perform specific tasks.
- "This was a perfect vacation stay. Michelle (host) is absolutely amazing. The house is impeccable with everything you could need. Our private woodland cabin is only 150 yards away from the beautiful West Seattle/Alki waterfront and 500 yards from the 10 minute water taxi to downtown Seattle. It features a King room, sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette.
Our 80 year old Tiny Tipsy Cabin is perfect for guests looking for unique beauty and convenience, without all the amenities of a hotel.
NOTES: Steps to House. Seclusion = No Internet & Weaker Cell Service.
The space
* Cozy, rustic, King bedroom
* Large claw-foot tub & shower
* Kitchenette w/sink, portable induction cooktop, coffee & tea bar, mini fridge, microwave & basic pots, pans, dishes and silverware
* Full sleeper sofa with sheets in living room
Our 80 year old historic shipbuilder's cabin is on a slight tilt, has running water, electricity, and most modern conveniences(minus internet). Lofted up above the forest floor, you may see as many as 80 species of birds (including eagles and peregrine falcons), as well as the odd deer or beaver from the rocking chairs on your front porch!
The Fairmount Gulch is one of Seattle's last preserved river ecosystems, and the lack of pavement means winters can be damp and muddy, so be careful walking up to the cabin. Once inside the sliding glass doors you'll find a living room with walls of windows that look out to the treetops above and the creek below. Our guests enjoy playing with the board games we provide, reading a book on the porch, and soaking in the antique claw-foot tub.
We don't have a TV, but we do have the iconic view Downtown Seattle, our famous ferries, and our resident harbor seals just 300 feet away down the private dirt road. Truly a home trapped in time, the Tiny Tipsy Cabin is everything this old harbor town once was, and is steps away from the thriving metropolis Seattle has become. Truly the best of both worlds.
Please Note: Cabin is lofted up among the trees, and requires walking up 25 steps from the parking pad to the front door. Our property is wonderfully secluded in the trees, but that privacy also means that we have No Internet service available & Weaker Cell Service.

- "Location is perfect - quiet and tucked away but a short walk from beaches, the Water Taxi to Seattle, and restaurants. It is a tiny, rustic cabin with a tilt and several stairs - just be aware! It was perfect for us since we enjoy the outdoors and camping. The hosts provided lots of information and were accessible if we needed them. The cabin was clean and had the necessities. If we return to Seattle, we'd stay here again!" - "I mean awesome quiet spot. Quick walk to water taxi, but also super quick drive to downtown.. SO many restaurant options. Almost too many. - "We stayed here for a week and it was fantastic. Perfectly situated, really well maintained for the most part. We did have one issue with one of the beds (in the room with the sofa bed) - the slats are bent and do not hold the mattress up. This will hopefully be fixed shortly. Other than that, everything was fantastic! We would absolutely stay here again!" - "The house and yard was a wonderful retreat for the family while on vacation. The large house provides comfortable spaces to spread out. We had so much fun playing pool and shuffleboard. The location is great …..lovely neighborhood and in walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc. The guest room beds could be improved for comfort. The master bedroom was perfect. The house was immaculate when we arrived. We kept saying during our stay how happy we were to have found such a great place to stay."

Our private, 2-acre property is just a 10 minute walk to the beach and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a 24-hour grocery. Guests enjoy sweeping views from every room of the house and expansive deck. High-speed WiFi, Sonos wireless sound system, and Roku streaming tv keep guests connected and entertained.
The Space: Our home is a sprawling, light-filled retreat. Guests staying in the master suite will enjoy a king-sized bed with a picturesque view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains beyond, and can soak in the jetted tub in the attached master bath. A second, garden-level downstairs bedroom offers an equally comfortable night's sleep with a queen bed and high-quality mattress. The downstairs full bathroom is shared by guests in this bedroom and the "third bedroom," which is a space we created by dividing the den with a partition wall. Although not technically a bedroom, we've worked hard to maximize the comfort of this space by providing another comfortable queen bed and black-out curtains. The den, with fireplace, tv, and movie library, completes the downstairs.
The Neighborhood: Our house is located on a dead-end street high above Puget Sound in West Seattle's North Admiral neighborhood. It is just a short walk from the house to the businesses of the Admiral District. But, once you're at the home, you will feel like you've escaped the world entirely!
Parking and Transportation: There is a two-car garage and plenty of driveway parking at the house. For trips into downtown, you may enjoy catching a ride on Seattle Metro's water taxi. Uber and Lyft are also available everywhere in Seattle.

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. This Tiny House has views, a private deck, kitchenette, 3/4 bath, living area, & 2 loft beds. With easy access to downtown Seattle either on foot or by car.
- "I loved this place, location and views were amazing! The only thing that I would change is that it’s a little difficult to climb into the loft beds. I’m pretty athletic and barely a size 6, and felt like I needed a wider opening to climb up into the bed. Even still…. I would definitely re-book this place. Wonderful tiny home!" - "What a charming, quaint and special stay! If you're up for something a little different and the most wonderful city view, then book a stay! "

Townhome rentable month by month just 1/2 block from Alki Beach. Minimum 30 day rental. Three blocks from shops and restaurants and Whale Tail Park. Three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, rooftop deck and master bedroom deck with views of the water. Enjoy all of the space and amenities of home in an excellent location close to sandy Alki Beach and downtown Seattle. Modern and new ~1400 sq foot townhouse. Lots of privacy, three levels plus a rooftop deck.
Garage space tandem for one large or two small cars.
If you want to explore without a car: The passenger water taxi is located about 1.5 miles away. You can either take the free shuttle (stop located on Alki Ave), you can use the bicycles, or take the quick trip to the taxi by car. The water taxi will deliver you to downtown Seattle close to the stadiums, the historic Pioneer Square, the waterfront shops/restaurant/aquarium, and Pike Place Market. Shuttles run about every half hour. From there you can enjoy Seattle's public transportation and avoid the headache of looking for parking.
If you are getting around by car: Downtown is just over the West Seattle bridge. There are three grocery stores just up North Admiral (Safeway and Metropolitan Market). Metropolitan Market has an excellent gourmet selection.
No pets, no smoking, no parties or events. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Neighbors appreciate quiet and respectful guests,
- "We spent nearly 11 weeks in this property, mid-November through January 2021. We found the townhome very comfortable. The kitchen and master bath were among the highpoints. The Alki Beach area has some fine restaurants and pubs. But the main selling points aside from overall comfort are privacy and QUIET. The place is located on a dead-end street accessed by another dead-end street (!), so traffic is limited almost exclusively to residents and delivery service trucks. We would certainly return in better weather, but overall we were extremely pleased."

Newer home with unobstructed 180 degree Ocean & Mountain View home-- just steps to the popular, Alki Beach (approximately 300 feet). We were also featured in the July 2015 issue of Seattle Times Magazine.
Included- 1 covered parking spot in garage & free street parking along house.
Our home offers you a true, relaxing beach getaway with our gorgeous water and mountain views, yet you're just steps away from all that's happening down on Alki. Because our home is not directly waterfront on the beach, we find it very quiet and calming on our more local, residential street. The beach is just 300 feet away from our home where guests can walk down the hill to all the natural beauty that awaits...
Two important things to note: There is a vacation rental downstairs on the lower part of the house that has been rented out since 2014. The studio has it's own entrance and is closed off from the main house. You won't see or hear from the guests downstairs, but it does truly feel like two separate living spaces. You can find our studio on this site as well if you need a space for 2 additional people.
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND WHY WE LOVE IT HERE:
Walk either right for 1.5 miles to reach the Pier where stunning views of the Seattle skyline can be enjoyed (great photo opportunity here, too)!
Or, walk left on Alki Ave towards all the restaurants and coffee shops where you'll have ample options for a hearty meal, coffee and desserts. Our favorite thing to do is savor in the morning (morning crowds differ from evening crowds) with a stroll to catch the crisp air, and listen to the waves crash along the shores- treat yourself with a hot latte at our local “Ampersand” (my favorite is Lavender Fog) on the strip or Starbucks!
You may even get lucky and spot an orca whale and/or some adorable seals. We see eagles all the time from our expansive floor to ceiling windows. Stars on the deck at night are pretty awesome too…you can find the Big Dipper on a clear night off our deck.
Either direction you choose, you'll enjoy the water along the seawall.
Alki Beach in the Summer time is simply the best! Tons of events and activities to enjoy- just ask us and we'll be happy to tell you what's going on during your stay. Some examples are: The pirates start Seafair weekend on Alki with the Pirate boat landing, which usually follows with some music and dancing. There are other festivals, art walks that occur throughout the year to enjoy! Tons of spots on the beach for bonfires to roast those smore's and people watch.
There are several rental options: Electric scooters are our favorite and so much fun to roam along the waterfront on! Bike rentals are quick and easy with an APP, tandem bike rentals are also available during the warmer seasons. Kayak, paddle board and rollerblading rentals are available over by the water taxi station. The water taxi is also another great tourist attraction where you'll enjoy beautiful water and city views as the water taxi/ferry takes you into the downtown Seattle waterfront.
Access to Schmitz Park is close to our home (.09 miles to be exact) where you can enjoy a sweet and easy hike alone or with the kids and family- small little creek here too for the little ones to enjoy! We love this hike that always makes us feel like we traveled an hour to get to.
If you really want to live like a local: head down to The West Seattle Junction (our downtown) and you will really feel like you're a part of our community. They say, "West Seattle is the Best Seattle" and after living here for so many years, we can truly attest to this statement. The community vibe here is just unparalleled! The West Seattle Farmers market occurs every Sunday from 10am-2pm, and we always love supporting our local business' this way...we hope you do, too! Award winning bakery, "Bakery Nouveau" is here at the Junction, so be sure to stop by to pick up a few treats (their double baked almond croissants are most popular). Tons of other boutiques, restaurants and bars to enjoy on California Ave.

- "The location was great for our family visit but not great if you have elderly family members staying at the VRBO the bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs or downstairs. Additionally the entrance had numerous stairs to climb to enter the home. Something to consider if you are traveling with people who have any mobility or pulmonary issues."

You’ll love my place because it has been fully remodeled in 2016 so everything is new & clean! It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood within walking distance from a variety of great restaurants, bars & coffee shops. It's in close proximity to downtown Seattle, even closer to Alki Beach & the West Seattle Water Taxi (to downtown) & just a mile from the vibrant Alaska Junction (where you'll find more great shops, restaurants, bars). My place is good for couples, solo adventurers & business travelers.
The space
My house was completely remodeled from the studs out to make for clean and comfortable living. Guests have the whole basement to themselves. It is fully finished with one bedroom, queen size bed, your own private full bath and lounge area. Guests have their own microwave, mini fridge, and easy access to the washer/dryer and back patio. Guests use the back entrance on the patio which opens to the stairs down to the basement. I don’t think the guest space is best suited for long term stay as there is no kitchenette and I do not share my kitchen or any living space upstairs.
Guest access
Guests have the basement to themselves. It is accessed by stairs from the main floor. Guests use the back patio door to enter my home. The back door is a more private, but not completely separate entrance. Guests have access to my back patio.
Other things to note
I have one friendly cat so if you are allergic then my place may not be the best place to stay. I keep my home very clean but understand that makes no difference for those with severe allergies. So unless you feel like interacting with him I will do my best to keep him upstairs and away from the guest space in basement, but sometimes I'm not always around to stop him! I always suggest leaving the basement slider & bedroom door shut while sleeping or out for the day. But if you want to engage with him he's super friendly and loves people! Gary is an indoor/outdoor cat and mostly outside during warmer months. PLEASE NOTE: I cannot accommodate guests with animals.

The neighborhood is above Alki Beach where Seattle was founded. The daylight basement space is private with a separate entrance, kitchenette (NEW March 2024), laundry room, bathroom, bedroom and huge living area with a dedicated working area and a dining table.
The space
The suite is unique because of the location in West Seattle, above Alki Beach. During your stay, I recommend you walk through Schmitz Park, a nature reserve, and enjoy the coastal living I do. There is a stairwell in the guest space leading up to the main floor. At the top is a door that we lock from the main floor to ensure your privacy.
Guest access
Guest have access to the suite only.
If you drive, please park in front of our house on the street. It's ok to park in front of the yellow fire hydrant.
Other things to note
At night in the summer, open the windows for a cool breeze. During the winter I heat the home with central heating. I also have an electric fireplace, and electric wall heater in the bedroom for your comfort.
I live here and you will hear me upstairs, and my small dog, Remi, who barks. The home is a mid-century rambler, with central air ducts that carry sound. I use a sound machine over the air returns between the floors for privacy.
There are security cameras on the house; at the front and back doors. They record the exterior only when approached.

The Host resides in the upper level of the house and this studio is located on the ground level of the house with street access. The studio is completely private, with its own separate entrance in the front of the house.
The unit is by the main road, highly traffic popular destination for tourist and locals alike so it could get busy and noisy at times especially on weekends.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to this private studio, which uses keyless entry (no hassle of keys!), the front door is equipped with a smart lock with a sleek touchscreen keypad which will be provided before your stay.
Other things to note
It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The best place to run along the waterfront paths of the Alki Beach coastal trail or the lovely trails in Lincoln Park.
In Seattle, the summers are short, warm, dry, and partly cloudy and the winters are very cold, wet, and mostly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 37°F to 79°F and is rarely below 28°F or above 88°F and because we are near the beach, it definitely gets a little chilly at night. Always bring a jacket, even in summer.
Please note: NO PARTIES. We will have to take the ENTIRE security deposit and don’t want to be put in that position.
FYI the unit is by a busy street and can be noisy at times, ALKI BEACH is a tourist destination.
We are in really good terms with our neighbors and respect each others sleep. Quiet time is 10pm.
STRICTLY NO PETS ALLOWED due to host's allergies.
Please note of the size of the unit, I do not offer refunds if you check in and decide the unit is too small.
Browse the photos carefully, there is a garage door that is permanently lock, mirror blocking tint is installed and roller blinds for privacy.
Additionally, we can almost always offer early check-in, but can never offer late checkout, as we have to make allowances for others to check-in on the same day. Thank you!
Guests are liable for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy.

The Bridge is a beautiful, modern, unique two-story space in West Seattle just minutes from great restaurants, shopping, bakeries, bike rental, fitness centers, pubs, and the water taxi to downtown Seattle.
The space
The Bridge was designed by Architect Sean Bell who has specialized in creating custom, sustainable homes in the Seattle area since 1997. In fact, The Bridge Airbnb space was the office of Mr. & Mrs. Bell between 2007 and 2010. It is an extremely ‘lofty’ space, but very warm and comfortable.
The kitchenette has a sink, microwave convection oven, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, some basic cooking supplies, some basic spices; there is no cooktop or range.
Guest access
The access is very simple. The front door is accessed from a bridge located on Admiral Way.
Although the street parking is located on 30th Ave., the main house located on 30th Ave is not related to The Bridge (please do not use the front door located on 30th Ave) Once parked on 30th Ave. it is necessary to walk up a public stairway that connects 30th Ave. to Admiral Way. Once inside The Bridge, the space is very self explanatory, the only space that cannot be accessed, unless for emegency egress, is the covered breezeway off the lower level.
Here are the entry instructions for The Bridge:
The code to the front door will be the 4 last # of your phone number, xxxx.
When you leave: please do not lock the door handle, lock only the dead bolt with the code; to lock the dead bolt with the code simply press the ‘Kwikset’ image.
Note: if ordering a food delivery please let the establishment know the door to The Bridge is on Admiral Way.
Safe travels!
Other things to note
Take advantage of the bike sharing bicycles (typically found next to the Westside Bicycle store directly across Harbor Ave SW), also the Seattle water taxi, Luna Park Cafe, the West Seattle Health Club, tour of the Nucor steel mill (very interesting!) and Metropolitan Market just a twenty minute walk up the street.
Note: in this urban environment, when the leaves have fallen, the sounds of Admiral Way are more apparent. If the slight ‘hum’ of the traffic is an issue please take advantage of the ‘white-noise’ machine located next to the bed on the lower level.
Also, although The Bridge has concrete floors with radiant floor heat, we provide two electric space heaters located at the landing between floors; please, absolutely only one space heater can be used on each floor (one upstairs, and one downstairs); if both are used on a single floor the electric circuit will be tripped.

Come enjoy our Tiny Tipsy Cabin surrounded by trees and yet in the city.
Our private woodland cabin is 150 yards away from the beautiful West Seattle/Alki waterfront & 500 yards from the 10 minute water taxi to downtown Seattle. It features a queen room, sleeper sofa, & kitchenette.
Our 80 year old Tiny Tipsy Cabin is perfect for guests looking for unique beauty and convenience, without all the amenities of a hotel.
NOTES: 25 Steps to House.
The space
* Cozy, rustic, King-size room
* Large claw-foot tub & shower
* Kitchenette w/sink, portable induction cooktop, coffee & tea bar, mini fridge, microwave & basic pots, pans, dishes and silverware
* Full sleeper sofa with sheets in living room
Our 80 year old historic shipbuilder's cabin is on a slight tilt and has running water, electricity, and most modern conveniences(minus Wifi).
We don't have a TV or Wifi, but we do have the iconic view Downtown Seattle, our famous ferries, and our resident harbor seals just 300 feet away down the private dirt road.

Designed for comfort and a peaceful experience, the studio amenities include a luxury Queen-size Saatva mattress for an incredible night’s sleep, a spacious full-sized couch, 32’’ HD Smart TV with a Sonos soundbar, a library full of some of our favorite books and current best sellers, a dinette for two, and a kitchenette that includes a mini fridge, hot water kettle, French press, toaster oven and hot plate. The bathroom is compact, consisting of a walk-in, 3x3 ft shower stall with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided for your convenience. Above the heated toilet is a mirrored medicine cabinet storing a hair dryer, and space for you to store your own items. The sink is located outside the bathroom, and serves double duty with the kitchenette.
The temperature in the studio is comfortable year round with heating and AC via a mini split heat pump.
If you are needing to work or just want to be connected for email or streaming, the studio has lightning fast WiFi on a fiber connection.
The studio and the main house open onto the same shared patio space. Both dwellings have beautiful large glass door openings, with the studio fitted with curtains that can be drawn for your comfort and privacy. Guest access
You have access to the studio via the walkway on the side of our house. The path is lit from sunset to sunrise so you can come and go anytime. The studio is 70 steps over concrete pavers and a compact gravel path from the street to the studio. While the path is beautiful, some of the path details can make it tricky to roll large suitcases, especially if your hands are full. Large rollers will need to be lifted at certain points. We are always happy to assist with luggage if we are available. Please don’t hesitate to ask. The entrance to the studio is keyless and a unique door code will be shared with you prior to your stay, allowing you flexibility with your arrival time.
Other things to note
We have a very sweet, 19lb, miniature golden doodle who likes to greet everyone (including our family) with barking. She is quite safe, and chances are you might not even meet her. But we know some people are not comfortable around dogs, and wanted to share this with potential guests.

This light-filled townhouse is Built Green and lies in the heart of West Seattle's commercial district. Walk to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and retail--or take a Lyft or water taxi to get to nearby downtown Seattle. While we don't allow cats or huge dogs, house-broken and up to medium-sized dogs are a-okay. Just let me know.
And we recently added a second bedroom! See more details under the property description.
The space
This is new information for the place!
It's a taller townhouse with its own private entrance and you have access to three floors. The top floor has a small office and rooftop deck with grill and great views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. And you are only a mile or so from the best beaches Seattle offers.
The townhouse now offers up to three sleeping spaces for guests. The pricing you see reflects only the queen bedroom and couch sofa in the living room, but we converted our 2nd bedroom that had been storage into another private space that offers a full bed, desk and even a printer. Reach out to me directly if that second bedroom is something you'd be interested in and we'll figure out that pricing. (With the 2nd bedroom, the place can accommodate two couples and up to three kids.) And if you don't need it, we just lock the 2nd bedroom off--and you pay the listed price.
For the traveler on business, there are three desk spaces (bedroom desk, roof office and dining area) and a 4th workspace should you want to use the 2nd bedroom.
Guest access
The door has a keycode which is provided around the time of check-in.
Other things to note
Given the location, you don't need a car when staying here. We have a bus stop within a hundred feet, and multiple bars, restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores are all walking distance. The water taxi to downtown Seattle is also a mile away.
Street parking next to the townhouse is pretty easy to come by.

Hello. The available space is the entire bottom half of my home with it's own entrance in West Seattle. It's a secluded private home nestled in the hillside on Elliott Bay with an amazing view of downtown Seattle. The home was designed by Milton Stricker who was an apprentice for Frank Lloyd Wright. The home was custom built for the first owner and is uniquely mid century. The express water taxi to downtown (10 min boat ride) is right up the road from the house.
The space
Hot tub. Amazing view. Easy access to downtown via water taxi, Uber, bus or bike. Shower with a bath tub. Microwave. Refrigerator. Toaster. 56 inch smart TV with Sonos. The bedroom is private with a view of downtown from the bed. I can set up a single bed in that room if you have a child or I can set up a double bed in the common area for another couple people. Parking space too.
Other things to note
There is no smoking in the house. Please smoke outside. Also, do not put bubble bath or bath bombs in the hot tub.
Please be considerate of your levels of noise. Quiet hours start at 11pm. I live upstairs so please keep the tv volume and or music at a level that's acceptable considering someone is sleeping upstairs. Just as I do for the people downstairs. And please be considerate by not slamming doors. The space that is designated for guests is solely the downstairs. Upstairs is off limits please. Thank you.

We work hard to ensure your satisfaction, so please let us know if something needs our attention.
