- "The house was super clean and exactly as pictured. Great for little kids because while it's decorated nicely and very "Austin" there aren't a bunch of trinkets for little ones to get into. The only request I would have if I stayed here again would be to have some kitchen towels or a drying rack available so guests don't have to waste paper towels. Fantastic stay, would definitely recommend!" - "Nice place" - "Thanks for everything house is wonderful and very clean next time I would like to have the opportunity to rent this house"

- "It was a perfect location, clean and very stylish furnishings. We will be back." - "Beautiful, well kept property. Great location" - "My family was in Austin for the holidays and we felt so comfortable at this North Loop location and most especially the house itself. Interior design is a big focal point, including modern, clean lines and also whimsical fun art and high end appliances, many of which I fell in love with and want for my home. The owner could not have been more responsive to our needs and questions. There weren't many as really everything is provided for (GREAT ready to gormet cook kitchen fully loaded with everything including spices). I grew up near the center of Austin and as everyone knows the city has grown so much, that this location is now considered fairly close in -- 10 minutes by car. There's that cute coffee shop and thrift store down the street - and plenty of shops along Guadalupe, Lamar and Burnet Rd., all super central to Austin living. Plus it's a skip over to I-35 or Mopac, the two key highways. We can't wait to book this lovely place again!"

- "When we first walked in, it was fresh and clean. They had a nice kitchen set up and the rooms were clean and neat. My kids loved the yard and we were in a quiet neighborhood. I will likely stay there again if I am in Austin again." - "We had a very pleasant stay at this house. It was extremely clean and comfortable. There were even fresh throw blankets that were perfect to cuddle on the couch with. Communication with the owner/property managers was prompt and concise. They were extremely helpful. The only downfall was the neighborhood was not exactly what we were expecting. Not knowing Austin well we chose a neighborhood near the TSBVI and it was not a neighborhood where I felt comfortable letting my kids could go for a walk or take the dog out at night."

- "The property is on the ground floor of an apartment building with easy access to the parking lot. The apartment is very well decorated and appointed and is one of the better short term rentals we've stayed at in this area. The space is more than adequate for two people and would be a good location for remote work. The apartment is very quiet. The only down side is there is not much of interest within walking distance. There are a lot of restaurants, etc, within a short drive, but the only thing close is an IHOP and several motels. We would not hesitate to stay here again on future visits."

- "My friend and I stayed here while in town for the F1 race at COTA. We were an easy 10 minute drive from downtown and despite being close to a highway, heard none of that noise at night. The property felt safe and secure (all doors had multiple locks and physical barriers that could be added). The bed was really comfortable, and the kitchen had all necessary dishware and items, though we didn’t cook here. Appreciated having access to a washer and dryer too! Rob was very responsive to all messages and provided us with extra towels, soap, etc. when requested. "

Some people live in private rooms others share rooms so there are usually 10-12 people per apartment.

The space
Our building was constructed in the 60's. It was designed as a nursing home and feels like a dorm. Bedrooms are arrayed down three long hallways that all feed into a central kitchen, an adjacent large living room, and a lobby area. The building on the whole is an odd shape, and its interior reflects the range of occupants it has had over the years in a way that is far more often charming than discordant. It has been a running theme of residents to be a little perplexed upon arrival, only to grow to love it and wonder how they ever doubted it within a week or two. As it is an old building, problems come up with its infrastructure (nothing major, but potentially burdensome - up to a 4/10 on the severity scale). Between the resident house manager and the company's part-time handyman, response time to deal with problems is fast, and company staff is keenly sensitive to residents' well-being.
Guest access
What the building lacks in modernity it makes up for in community and amenities. Aside from the large living room, there are several nooks and crannies to work from home or relax in throughout the house. The property includes a pool table in the common room, lots and lots of tables and chairs for dining & computing, two free to use laundry rooms (guests provide their own detergent, though), a courtyard, backyard, propane BBQ, a chicken coop, and a dedicated TV room with the best couches, a 50" screen, Netflix, Amazon, and HBO. The house sponsors a variety of regular and one-time social events, at which there's a great chance to get to know other residents. We value sociable and friendly people, and an abiding core of twelve or fifteen indefinite-stay residents keep things rolling amidst what could otherwise be a rootless community. With the variety of backgrounds, talents, and interests at the house, there's someone for everyone when it comes to making friends.
