Welcome to your hideaway studio on a quiet, forested lot, yet just a few minutes away from essential services and twenty minutes by car from downtown Seattle. The space: The studio is on a wooded, one and a half acre property along a creek greenbelt in the city of Lake Forest Park, just outside Seattle. Explore the creek and trail on the property, or take a relaxing walk in a quiet residential neighborhood. Shops, restaurants and amenities are close by. Located just one mile (1.6 km) from the Shoreline North light rail station with connections to the University of Washington, Capitol Hill, Downtown, stadiums, the International District and SeaTac Airport.

Outdoor amenities: In addition to the studio itself, walk the vintage brick path to the Overlook Deck on the edge of the creek ravine, and follow the trail down to the creek. Listen for owls, occasional coyotes, and watch for woodpeckers and rabbits along the way. The Overlook Deck is a shared space with your hosts, as is the outdoor table and sitting area on the concrete pad under the maple tree.

Other things to note: The brick path to the Overlook Deck and the trail to the creek are uneven, steep in parts and slippery when wet. These amenities are not readily available for guests with mobility limitations.

Below you is a basement apartment that I rent separately that has its own private entrance around the back side of the house. Because it’s an older home, noise can transfer easily to the unit below you so keeping noise to a minimum during quiet hours of 10pm-8am is very important to me.

You're welcome to use the brand new double set of LG washer/dryers in the basement but please be aware these are shared with my downstairs guests and/or used by my cleaners in-between guests. You can access the laundry room by opening the deadbolt door to the basement, walking down the stairs and down the short hallway and the laundry is to your right.

- "Lovely property. The space is a ground floor kitchen/living room behind the pictured garage and 2 upstairs bedrooms. The front bedroom has a lovely deck extending over the garage. This rental is in a separate building (attached to the garage) adjacent to the main house. The neighborhood is very walkable and the sunsets are excellent. There is a view of the sound from the deck. The space inside is very clean and has a very comfortable sofa, gorgeous kitchen. There is a set of pots/pans available and we were able to cook during our Seattle visit. The bathrooms in particular are lovely and clearly recently updated. There is a ductless heater/air in the main space, but also in each bedroom. Coffee pods were provided and towels are available. We communicated with Nav and he allowed us to bring both our dogs. For dog owners, it's worth knowing that the yard associated with this property is not fully fenced (you can't let your dog off leash to use the bathroom). Walking the dogs in this easygoing neighborhood was not a problem. We brought an electric car and bikes, and Nav was kind enough to let us use the garage. The garage has a type 2 tesla charger and made it convenient to charge at the rental. In general, communication was excellent. This rental is highly recommended. "

There are steps down to access the entry at the rear of the property and steps up to the door, but they are well lighted at night and have handrails, so my 86 year old mobility limited mother was able to navigate them without too much trouble. The property is very quiet and the decor is serene and inviting. We greatly enjoyed the outside seating area and amenities. The location is adjacent to the Seattle interurban trail, and there is a delicious coffee shop and a grocery store within walking distance. The host was very responsive but also respected our privacy. Overall an excellent experience, would definitely stay again next time we visit Seattle."

This bright and expansive (700 sq ft!), private loft is a perfect getaway, while still close to great food/drink, and all of Seattle's outstanding adventures.

The romantic lounge has an incredibly comfortable bed, fuzzy rug, and cool original art on every wall. The huge plush couch is big enough for two people to stretch out and enjoy Netflix on a flat screen TV, along with the softest blanket. In the morning coffee service is ready for you. The space
This home is an original mid-century modern from 1955 with tall, wooden-beam ceilings. We've outfitted it as a romantic getaway for two. It has a super comfortable bed (we get rave reviews on the mattress), four pillows, and an extra blanket in the closet. There are night stands on both sides, each with a three plug adapter to charge your phone and anything else you want to plug in. No more unplugging the light to plug in your phone!

The living space has a plush leather couch and matching chair with ottoman on top of an oh-so-soft rug. We've added a blanket for those who like something warm and cuddly when watching Netflix or Amazon prime on streaming.

The kitchenette has a mini fridge with freezer, a microwave, and Keurig coffee maker with coffee, decaf, tea and hot chocolate pods! We've provided two plates, real silverware, stemless wine glasses, coffee mugs and a corkscrew for eating and drinking.

You may choose to eat in the living room on the coffee table or we have a small table for two in the corner, also the right size for working on your laptop. We've also included a binder of menus from local restaurants we love with dinner delivery suggestions.

Whether you use this as a home base for exploring the city or prefer to have a cozy and intimate retreat away from everything, you will find this space to be warm, comfortable, and so inviting.
