Secluded cabin on the banks of the Okatoma River. This property is approximately a one-hundred acre parcel that has trails and river frontage. The views of the river are phenomenal but the fishing from the porch is even better. This cabin is fully stocked inside and outside. Perfect for family, friends or romantic couple getaways. It’s a very convenient location, not even five minutes from the town of Collins. Grand Paradise Waterpark, Burdens Atv Park, and Salem Opry House Restaurant are a few of our family favorites all within a ten minute radius from the cabin. Canoeing and Kayaking are also available in the next town over with a shuttle service.

It's on the river and we were really hoping to sit on a gravel bar in our swimsuits and enjoy the water, but the only access is a ramp of sorts and it's not really a place for swimming or wading as the bank is very steep. But it's quiet and secluded and our dog could run and explore outside with no problem at all. Highly recommended!"

We could have stayed at a local hotel but we would have never been as comfortable and happy as we were staying at this property. The pictures are accurate but don’t do this place justice. 1st we were so surprised to pull up to a literal farm next door and my kids very much enjoyed seeing the cows and goats. Second, the beauty of the property is so wonderful and relaxing. Beautiful pine trees surround the home and there are wonderful porches for sipping early morning coffee. The house is extremely spacious and there is plenty of room to spread out and cozy enough to feel like home. We had no issues except we arrived late at night and had a problem with the door code. We panicked but VRBO responded quickly and got us in within minutes of calling. The host was responsive every time we reached out and was kind enough to leave treats and give food suggestions. The house is clean and tidy but that may not be enough for some. This is a lived in home so expecting a spotless or sterile environment is unrealistic. There will be some personal belongings here and there but the host did lock some closets etc, to keep that at a minimum. Overall we loved our experience at this lovely home!"

The home has an adorable studio apartment and id located just 9 miles from the Lake Terrace convention center and 12 miles from USM. Enjoy the views of an active farm with cows, sheep, horses, and herding dog training. Less than a mile from the OKATOMA outdoor post where you can go kayaking or canoeing on the OKATOMA river. Enjoy dinner or lunch at Shady acres, which is less than a mile from the apartment. Luxury linens and the most comfortable bed provide a wonderful nights rest. Kitchen is complete with everything you need to create a wonderful meal. The kitchen has a small refrigerator and there is a full sized one in the garage for your use. Bathroom is small and has a shower only. Studio has an electric fireplace for those cooler nights and plenty of closet space. Washer and dryer are in the shared garage space. You will have garage parking for your stay.

Welcome to Shangri La! Enjoy ultimate comfort and BoHo design in Mississippi’s premier Glampground. We are on the Longeleaf Trace with access to 41 miles of paved bike, 11 miles of mountain bike trails, fishing and kayaking 1.3 miles away at the USM Lake Thoreau research center. Shangri La has a slumberlicious queen loft and two daybeds on the main level. This house also includes a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and double stove top eyes for cooking indoors. All houses come with their own private campfire, grill, cast iron skillet for outdoor cooking. We also have two hammocks for your relaxation. Sorry we don’t have cable or WIFI for those who struggle to unplug. The cellular service is good in this area and does provide adequate bandwidth for streaming depending on your cellular provider.

The Lake House is an exclusive separate property located .25 miles from the main Longleaf Piney Resort campground and Longleaf Trace. The Lake House has two master suites. One suite includes a King bed and full futon that can sleep four with an ensuite bathroom and private deck overlooking our lake. The other suite has a Queen bed and full futon that can sleep four with an ensuite bathroom and beautiful view of our lake and forest. Both rooms are connected with a large common living, dining and kitchen area and third full bathroom. The kitchen includes an electric range oven and stove, refrigerator/freezer, stand-alone ice maker, on-demand drip coffee maker, and dishwasher. We also include all of your cooking and eating dishaware, drinkware, and utensils to make you feel right at home. Our dining area has a table to fit eight and a separate pub table that could fit another four. Our living room is walled with windows that overlook our beautiful lake and piney woods. We have two queen sleeper sofas that could sleep an additional four people. Our back door opens to our patio area that includes outdoor dining for six, propane grill and more comfortable seating options to sit back and enjoy the view. From our patio you can walk down to our waterfront dock if you want to be over the water. We are only .25 miles from the Longleaf Trace if you want to take a ride or a hike. The Lake House and property is exclusive to Lake House guests.

- "Newly renovated property, with good furniture/decor, felt fresh, clean. Property is secluded on a small lake and is beautiful. Master bedroom has an attached deck so you can privately enjoy nature in the evening. Propane grill works great and you can watch the lake while you grill amd not hassle with charcoal. Has a private dock and owner includes canoes/paddles/lifejackets and hammocks. There is decorative outside string lighting in both front and back of property for ambience. We use a lot of ice for drinks and water bottles and stand alone automatic ice maker was a godsend. There are bikes you can borrow for free to ride on the Longleaf Trace adjacent to the property. Property owner said hello in person, was immediately available to help when we didn't know how to get the washer started, and kindly responded to texts throughout. We had a competition at the convention center which was an easy 17 minute drive. Would 100% stay here again instead of in Hattiesburg or just to get away."

Feel free to use the grounds around the cabin, but please be aware that the garden fence is electrified to keep the wildlife at bay.

There are easy trails behind the pond, be mindful of the property boundaries which are marked with pink ribbon and red markers.

Fish the pond or start a bon fire in that area. There is also a chiminea for a smaller fire near the cabin. These are the only designated areas for flames.
