Depending upon which direction you walk, drive, bus or take a ride-share service, you will find tourist destinations, business centers, restaurants of all styles, lovely parks, grocery stores, coffee shops, bakeries and a wide variety of shopping nearby in the Phinney Ridge, Greenwood, Wallingford, Fremont and Ballard neighborhoods. Travelers can easily reach the business centers of South Lake Union and Downtown.

There is plenty of on-street parking right out front and several bus stops within blocks. Bus route 5 runs north/south, route 44 runs east/west. Downtown, Seattle Center, South Lake Union and the University District are all just 10 minutes away by car.

The house features hardwood floors, lots of light, new kitchen and bathroom, and lovely furnishings. The large flagstone patio and garden out front has a table for four and a couple of adirondack chairs. It is perfect for morning coffee, meals or lounging. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed. It also features a large closet with a built-in dresser and full-length mirrors on the doors. The high quality sleeper sofa (no hide-a-bed bars here) in the living room pulls out to a comfy queen-sized bed. There is a selection of extra pillows and bedding so that you can find just the right combination for a good night's rest. Blackout shades throughout the house provide plenty of excuses for sleeping in whether you are in the bedroom or on the sleeper sofa. All sheets are high thread count and 100% cotton.

The fully-equipped kitchen with dining nook has stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, hand mixer as well as all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you will need. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are provided.

The bathroom includes a new shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, as well as hand soap, lotion, hair dryer and plenty of plush towels. Terrycloth robes are also provided.

Fast fiber-optic WiFi will keep you connected. Basic cable and Netflix are provided. Any subscription services that you have can be streamed on the high-definition 40” TV.

From there, visit the Ballard Locks to watch the salmon jump up the fish ladders. Keep going and you will find Golden Gardens, one of the most popular beaches in town. Fremont is even closer with lots of shops and restaurants and its famous Bridge Troll. Green Lake, which features a beautiful 2.8 mile running/walking path, boat rentals and a community center, is a short drive or a long walk through the lovely Woodland Park. About this space: This is a basement studio apartment with a full kitchen, bath, and queen sized bed. The studio comfortably sleeps 2 in a queen size bed, but there's a large sofa that will sleep a 3rd guest. We have plenty of extra blankets and linens if you should need them. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware if you have the urge to whip up a meal. We also have a french press for your coffee needs. Plenty of street parking available.

The full size, heated bathroom comes equipped with a large vanity/mirror and plenty of plush towels. Extra toiletries are available in the event you forget your go-to shampoo and body wash. Tired from running around the city all day? Please treat yourself to a relaxing bubble bath!

We have a flatscreen TV and XBOX for any relaxing couch time. You have access to Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Instant Video for movies/shows on demand.

Sidenote for summer guests: Many places in Seattle do not have air conditioning. Beat the summer heat with this basement unit - it stays cooler than the other side of the pillow.

We live upstairs, but will stay out of your way. You have private access through the red side door with an assigned key pad code. There is no physical key to keep track of! Your code is valid for only the duration of your stay and will reset one hour after check out. Getting Around: The bus system in Seattle is incredible and efficient. The bus stops closest to our house give you access to the 28 and 40 lines which go straight downtown and towards the Ballard neighborhood. We recommend downloading the app One Bus Away for bus schedules. We also love Uber and Lyft. With UberX, you can get downtown for less than $12.

I contacted the property seven times with no response. When we got to the AirBNB the blowup mattress turned me into a taco two hours later. The so-called futon couch was the size for a child that didn’t even flatten out. the windows have half inch cracks in it so we froze which got us sick from the air coming straight into our face. The traffic is so loud all day all night. You don’t get a decent sleep. The mattress in the bedroom was so lived in. We had to put it on the floor, so our backs wouldn’t hurt. There was absolutely no blankets whatsoever which we had to go out and purchase some. All they had was sheets. There was not sufficient drawers. My son-in-law had to put his clothes in the kitchen cabinet or kitchen drawer. We ended up paying out-of-pocket four days at a different hotel just to get some sleep and have appropriate accommodations. The tub doesn’t drain so you’re taking a shower with water up to your ankles."

Our sunny lower level unit is located in Ballard's prized Sunset Hill neighborhood which offers amazing views of the Olympic mountains, immediate access to the Burke Gilman trail and Shilshole Bay, and close proximity to everything you'd like to see in Seattle.

Two brand new queen beds, each in their own rooms with a 3/4 bath and generous kitchenette in between. Outdoor patio with great views for your use and ample free street parking make this a safe, comfortable and convenient accommodation.

The space
As seen in the floor plan image, there is one completely private bedroom with queen bed, 32" tv with Roku, windows, closet, and full length mirror.

The other bedroom also has a queen bed, sitting area with couch, coffee table, and 43" tv with Roku and DVD player (dozens of DVDs available), and windows. This room does have a door separating it from the central portion of the unit which includes the bathroom, kitchenette and small dining area. Please note however that the only entrance to the unit is through this second bedroom.

Speaking of entrance, in order to access the home you'll be given codes to open our garage door as well as another locked door to go upstairs to the unit. A bit quirky to walk through a garage? Yep, but that's Airbnb :) you're welcome to store your bicycles and/or small watercraft in the secured garage. If you have a couple of motorcycles or a car you'd really like to keep in the garage overnight, let us know and we may be able to accommodate.

You will need to be able to go up one flight of internal stairs to access the unit. The patio with chairs and amazing views (Olympic Mountains, Bainbridge Island across the Puget Sound and the iconic Ray's Boathouse) is also only accessible by going up about a dozen stairs on an outdoor path.

Keycode door locks provide access into the guest suite through a rear house door and the guest suite entrance door. The rear house door opens into a shared laundry room with a washer and dryer. The guest suite entrance door is located inside the laundry room.

Free street parking around the house is available. Please do not park in the driveway since driveway parking is reserved for the upper floor tenants

Our garden level studio apartment is freshly remodeled and spacious. You will have a private entry into the main floor living room of our remodeled 1940’s house, with stairs down to a full finished basement with shower and kitchenette. Sleeps 1 to 4 guests, and is ideal for families looking to enjoy the many attractions that Seattle and Washington have to offer.

Welcome! During your stay you have the exclusive use of the main floor living room, sitting room with desk, and front entrance, including an open sitting porch. Stairs from the living room lead to the rest of your private studio apartment in a full, daylight basement that opens to the back yard and patio. This lower level has an open circular floor plan with one queen-sized bed in the main area, one queen-sized bed in the television area, and a bathroom with a dual-head shower. There is also a dining table and a spacious, light-filled kitchenette.

The kitchenette features a full sink, dishwasher, mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave, electric tea kettle, rice cooker, induction hot-plate and waffle maker. There is also a roll-around food-preparation shelf/cart. We provide all the dishes, pans and utensils needed to prepare and serve simple but fresh meals or snacks. This includes a French press coffee maker, pitcher water filter, and baking pans. The back door opens to a fully-fenced yard with stone patio, and an outdoor gas BBQ grill for your use during your stay.

Includes WIFI Internet access, 43” flatscreen, and board games. We provide a selection of DVDs for your enjoyment during your stay, or watch Netflix / Amazon Prime / Hulu and other online services (your own account information is required for these or other streaming services. For taller guests to consider: While the ceiling height in most of the basement is about 7 feet, there are two pass-through areas that have a beam at about 6’ 4” or so. Also, watch your head at the bottom of the stairs - the ceiling there can also be a little low when standing on the bottom step.

Located in Sunset Hill, the quietest area of Ballard, our guest suite offers peaceful seclusion just minutes from the bustling activity of downtown Ballard. Our guest suite, which consists of a comfortably sized bedroom and en suite bathroom, has a private entrance and covered patio area. It has full sized windows and is not a basement unit, allowing in an abundance of warm afternoon sunlight and a pleasant view of the peaceful Sunset Hill neighborhood. The private entry directly fronts the street (no walking around to the back of the house or through a yard) and allows our guests to feel secluded. We envision our Airbnb to be much like a hotel room which includes a queen sized bed, television with Netflix, mini-fridge, coffee maker, lounge chair, desk, central AC (not commonly available in Seattle homes) and heat, and high speed wifi. Street parking is abundant in our neighborhood and is typically available directly in front of the Airbnb for easy and convenient access.

We operated our Airbnb from 2018 through early 2020. We then closed operations as we had a newborn at home. We now have two young boys and since they are bit older we have more time to reopen our Airbnb to guests once again.

We strive to make our Airbnb as comfortable as possible and that includes minimizing noise disturbances. Our children, as typical for their age, can be noisy at times but please know that we are consistently vigilant and alert to excessive noise and make every effort to minimize this. We have incorporated features such as adding sound insulation between the common wall as well as having a thick double door for the common door between the suite and the remainder of our home.
