Within 5 minutes from the Farmhouse Cafe, 15 minutes to Nashville and the largest state park in Indiana, Ellison Ridge is a vacation home that you cannot miss. Although not far from Nashville, you are on a gorgeous piece of property in Brown County, Indiana. The cabin is high on a private hill and totally remodeled and refurbished. This is a place for your family and you to make plenty of memories. Located on 5.3 acres.

There is a patio on the front of the vacation cabin and just a couple of steps in to the home. There are no other steps in this home. See that large hot tub calling you after you pick a bedroom and unpack and began to relax in the Brown County air.

As you enter into the house to a 3 seasons room, there is a queen bedroom to your left, a full bath with shower only and a Smart TV. Also a bunk bedroom with full size mattresses on each, a private bathroom and a smart TV.

To the right is cozy living room with an open concept to the kitchen and the dining area. There is a sun porch with all windows. At the end is the master bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath and a smart TV. You can walk out on the side deck from the master bedroom.

If you want to be close by all that Nashville has to offer, you could not make a better choice than Ellison Ridge! This is a wonderful retreat while exploring all of the village’s 250-plus shops and craft galleries that are renowned throughout the Midwest. - "The house was nice, plenty of space for our family. The check in process was a little complicated. The drive at night was a little challenging as it's located about 12 miles from Nashville in the woods. The location was secluded and quiet. The house was clean with the exception of the dog hair on the lower bunk bedspread and a smell of cigarette smoke in the third bedroom. Not much was included in the stay, no soap in the bathrooms/showers, and no firewood for the firepit (these items have always been provided when booking through VRBO). For checkout, we had to wash the dishes and put them away, strip the beds lock the house and return the key to the rental office. While i appreciate the need to take care of your property while we are there, we pay a cleaning fee in the cost of the house. There was a threat of charging our credit card if we didn't follow the departure rules to the letter. We enjoyed the area, touring Nashville and all it had to offer was great. We might return, we will definitely look for a different property management agency. "

Nestled in the woods just 9 minutes North East of Nashville and 7 minutes from Brown County State Park, you will find Mountaintop Treehouse. Close to shopping and adventure, yet you will feel very secluded in this authentic Treehouse built by the Owner. His labor of love took 5+ years to build. You can see 5 miles from the front deck and enjoy the sunken hot tub with the view!

Upon arrival, you will notice a restful feeling as you drink in nature’s bounty, nestled amongst the tree tops as you climbs the stairs to enter the front door. Entering the first floor, you will find a cozy living room with an electric fireplace. Snuggle up by the fire and watch a DVD movie on the 55" smart TV or just admire the wood interior around you.

What a great place to gather to visit with your loved ones. Notice the birds in the nearby trees, who don’t even realize you are right there.

The Space:
Pulling onto the property, you will drive down a long forested driveway, and once parked you will see and hear the bubbling fountain at the top of the stairs down to the cabin. The large front porch has a welcoming porch swing and fans. Enter the cabin and view a two story family room with a stone fireplace with a wood mantel crafted from an old local barn. The family room is situated with leather couches and a large TV. Free WiFi is available for streaming your favorite digital platforms. The kitchen is loaded with tools for all your cooking needs. The dining room has a beautiful large table for family to gather around for meals or game nights.

Enjoy the in-deck hot tub and large built in fire pit overlooking the woods. Curl up in the hammock on the lower deck and enjoy a nap or have fun with yard games with the entire family. If the weather sends you indoors, escape to the entirely glassed atrium room at the back of the cabin and enjoy nature inside. The basement is entertainment central with a full size pool table, ping pong table, mini foosball table, and mini air hockey table. Take the spiral staircase to the lower level and find a space to workout with a treadmill, stationary bike, and elliptical machine.

We grilled, drank beer, played cards, utilized the pool table, ping pong, hung out on the several decks that are off the back of the house, and had a great time. With that being said as part of the services offered, one of them is grocery drop off. I recommend bringing your own or using this service. The area that the cabin is located in is hard to navigate due to the winding roads and dense greenery. We needed our gps the whole weekend, it is hard to find your way around if your not familiar with the area. Everything seemed to be 20 min away or more. But that is what we were looking for, and we got exactly that! Thank you for letting us stay, we had a great time!!"

Salt Creek Farmhouse is a classic restored, 1920's farmhouse on 56 acres with all the modern conveniences! Drive 10 minutes to downtown Nashville, hike our trail, grill out or relax on the wrap-around porch, or by the fire pit. Sleeps six people in; two bedrooms each with a queen sized bed and the full sized sleeper couch in the living room. Towels, wash cloths, sheets, pillows, blankets, coffee, ice etc. are all provided. Dogs/cats and extra $ 60 each (3 days), $ 80 each (4-7 days), $ 100 each (8 - 14 days), and must be approved by the management in advance. Pets must be kept off furniture and beds.

We have fast, reliable Fiber-Optic WiFi and there's a 40" TCL smart TV and a DVD player in the living room. On the smart TV, you can stream Netflix, Disney, Hulu, Prime etc. via your account, or watch Youtube and other streaming services for free. The TCL smart TV also offers dozens of channels for free.
There's also a smaller flat screen TV in one of the bedrooms for use with DVDs.

There is a two person Jacuzzi in the master bath, there is not a hot tub. Mattresses have been updated in 2023.

The property includes 56 acres, most of which is wooded. There are hiking trails starting less than 100 yards from the house that we maintain. There's a fishing hole along the trail, where guests have caught big Bass and huge Catfish, as well as; Blue Gill, Crappie, Gar and other fish. We have found; Morels, Lions Mane and Turkey Tail mushrooms in our woods. There's a porch swing on the wrap around porch, cooled by a ceiling fan and a horse-shoe pit in the back yard.
Hunting is not allowed. Please keep pets off the furniture and beds and pick up after your dog, there’s a pooper-scooper and a shovel next to the fire pit for that.

There is a House phone you can use to make calls anywhere in the US or Canada. Cell phone coverage is spotty but if you go to settings on your phone you can probably select ‘Wi-Fi calling’, like we do, which syncs your phone to the Wi-Fi.

The large jetted bathtub was a great way to knock the dust off and wind down at the end of the day. The location is far enough out of town to be restful but close enough to everything I wanted to do.
