- "Kept us cool. Liked gated entry. Presented as expected." - "The hosts were very fast to respond and extremely accommodating. They were helpful in many ways, including the check in instructions. Had they not been so precise and good a communication of details, getting to the apartment may not have been so smooth. Other reviews have mentioned the main bedroom mattress being too soft. While it did catch me off guard, I did not see a problem at all. I slept like a dream. I believe what may throw others off is that it is lower to the ground than a traditional king... which an extremely MINOR detail; however, I felt it would be right to adress it appropriately. The hot tub wated quality was next level with the cover being very easy to deal with. Really likes the privacy it provided. Would have used it every night were the temps not above 103 everyday 😆. If I HAD to point out one negative, it would be the small trees where the parking is located. Because they are shorter trees, the limbs stick out a little which either means you're forced to park a little further into the road. That said, I compensated by just simply parallel parking between the 2 so that the limbs are a non-issue. Againe... VERY minor. Overall. perfect stay for my purposes, close to the Pearl and river walk, quiet with fantastic hosts... and the sparkling wine didn't hurt either 🙂."

The luggage racks were an added bonus that were very much appreciated. It is located next to a car dealer and service shop but we felt safe and never really saw anyone outside. My only complaint would be the bathroom window in the shower. I am just uncomfortable with that because its kind of low like chest height on a 5'10 person. - "We stayed here for our Anniversary, the place is too cute! They put ALOT of effort in making this place so unique! It’s in a great location and we really enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk around SA! A+!" - "Cute little property. Perfect for my family. Nice safe neighborhood close to grocery store and about 27 mins to JBSA. Only downfall is the shower, the shower curtain really encloses you in. Its a clawfoot tub with shower attachments. Its a big step to get in and out. Better off if they put in a walk in shower. Other than that it was really nice. Had all things you would need to cook and bake with. Even had kid friendly plates ans utensils. Beds were comfy."

This inviting and upscale 100 year-old house is nestled in a charming and desirable historic district in San Antonio and is remarkably convenient to downtown with easy access to highways and popular local attractions. This second floor residence is quite the escape, featuring a backyard oasis with a new hot tub, dining table and string lights, an EXCEPTIONALLY well-equipped chef's kitchen, high-end furnishings, art, and a peaceful neighborhood vibe.

PLEASE NOTE that while this house is a duplex (meaning it contains two separate residences) this listing is for the TOP FLOOR residence. This lovely quaint, colorful and eclectic loft-like home has had a recent playful renovation and it is both comfortable and clean. It is close to downtown, airport, and most of the visitor attractions (Pearl, Trinity University, Zoo, Alamo, Riverwalk, etc.). There are several aspects of this home's interior that make it special. It sports original hardwood floors that have been lovingly refinished, and there is colorful artwork throughout the house. The house has a very spacious LIVING AREA, where a TV is located (with ROKU providing Live TV, NETFLIX, HBO Max, and Amazon PRIME channels). We provide plenty of games and cards for your use, as well.

There are 2 nicely furnished bedrooms: (1) MASTER BEDROOM - there is an Ethan Allen bed with luxurious custom bedding. This bed has a SLEEP NUMBER mattress (queen), which most people find incredibly comfortable and fully adjustable and has an ensuite sitting room; (2) GUEST BEDROOM - there is one wrought iron bed (queen) with upscale bedding and it sports a western theme.

The BATHROOM is vintage with refinished tub, new fixtures and plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos and other necessities for your use.

The KITCHEN is a first class chef's kitchen with plenty of new new appliances, gas stove/oven, side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker (pods provided). Most of the furnishings are from Williams Sonoma. You will also find spices and many of the kitchen basics that you will need if you chose to cook. Note that there is also an OFFICE nook with a desk with an Apple computer and printer for your use (WIFI is fast, typically >450 Mbps). The LAUNDRY ROOM is furnished with new washer and dryer and a generous amount of detergent is provided for your use; there is also an iron and board provided.

Lastly, the BACK PATIO/YARD features a shared hot tub (5 person), large dining table and festive string lights.

Enjoy the entire home including the backyard and large patio. We continue to improve the property. Just ask if you have some particular storage needs (e.g bikes, equipment, etc.) we may be able to accommodate storage during your stay in the shed in back.

- "I love the quality and comfort of the furniture at this property. Most rentals have used, mismatched, and uncomfortable furniture. Not this place! The furniture is lovely! Upon entering the front door, you have to climb stairs to get up into the 2nd floor living space/rental property. The stairs may be a challenge for those with mobility issues. I may have missed it on the rental description, but I was a bit surprised that someone lives in the lower level (first floor) of the property. Also, parking is in front of the property; however, if you want to park in the carport, the drive to the back of the property is long and narrow; therefore, we just chose to park in front of the property. The location was perfect as it was close to downtown and the Pearl Brewery restaurants. A few blocks from the property there are local restaurants; but at this time, it is under heavy construction. It will be really nice once the construction is complete. We so appreciated that Don and Karin were responsive to all our inquiries."

Just in case you missed it in the listing, I have a few pet rules to keep the space in an enjoyable state for future guests. Please read ahead of time to prevent incurring fees.

1.) Pets must be 2+ years of age, max of 2.

2.) Crating is required when you leave the unit or at nighttime.

3.) Dogs that bark cannot be left alone in the unit. If they are barking and disturbing neighbors, I will ask you to board your pups.

4.) Please always clean up after your pets, even outside. Poo must be immediately bagged and disposed of in the black trash can. A $300 waste removal fee will be charged if the cleaner must spend extra time picking up puppy poo in the yard.

5.) Please keep pets off furniture.

6.) Pets must be on a leash or carried when outside. The property is not fenced so off leash is not allowed.

VERY IMPORTANT: We may require an additional pet fee.

The standard fee is: $100 flat fee for up to 2 dogs.
A refundable $250 Pet Damage Deposit is required and will be refunded when no damage is found after check-out.

PLEASE NOTE: Any property damage or pet accidents result in forfeiture of all/partial damage deposit and potential further action. The owner and management company reserve the right to verify pet count, age, and animal presence in person at the unit during daytime hours, if needed.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a very quiet, well established neighborhood so we appreciate your compliance with keeping the noise level down. Quiet hours are after 11 PM on Friday and Saturday and after 9PM on other days. This is not permission to be excessively loud during regular hours and you are still expected to maintain a measure of control at all hours. We ask that you remove your shoes once entering the apartment. This helps us keep the place clean for all guests to enjoy the space. Thank you! This is to prevent parties at our building. The complex has a strict occupancy and noise limit. Any group attempting to violate the community policy on occupancy limit or quiet hours will be removed immediately without refund. Checkout is at 11AM. Unauthorized late checkout is a $50 fee. Not vacating on time leads to other losses of which you will be billed additionally for. This includes guest refunds. Those checking in past 10PM must let us know prior to booking. A $50 fee will be added to the reservation for those checking in late without notice. All guests must be listed at the time of booking. Our reservation may accommodate 2 guests, but is set up for each reservation according to the guest number listed. Because of this we will charge an extra $35 per person, per night, that is not listed on the reservation at the time of booking. Any type of smoking is prohibited within the unit. This violation will incur a $150 per day fee. Any lost keys will be $75 per lost item to replace. Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest. If the apartment is trashed, you will be billed an additional $95 fee to cover additional cleaning. This space is NOT pet friendly and any guests found violating that policy will incur an additional pet cleaning fee of $200. We reserve the right to remove any guest from our property at any time for violation of these house rules or the community guidelines at the property. It is your responsibility to understand you are going to be staying at a community and as a guest of that community, you must behave according to the community rules. You accept any responsibility for any damages beyond regular wear at this property. You will not stain towels or sheets from careless use or you will pay to replace them. You will not damage or scuff the walls from careless baggage handling or rough play. If you do, you will pay to repair or repaint. You will not misuse kitchenware while cooking. Burning cookware beyond repair will result in your replacing of the kitchenware. Any broken glassware or disposed silverware will be billed to your stay. You are responsible for the behavior of your guests. If they violate any rules of ours or the community guidelines, or if they cause damages, you will be held responsible for losses incurred on their behalf. You may also be reviewed based on the behavior of your guests. Please choose your guests wisely. There will be no drug use on the property. Regardless of what the substance is, if it is illegal, it cannot be in our home. If you and your guests violate the lease in anyway causing eviction from the property, you will receive a $500 penalty. We do NOT accept any 3rd party bookings which is against Airbnb guidelines. A 3rd party booking is when someone books a property for other people and is not part of the group who will be staying at the property. Any person or company who does this will be subject to a $350 fee for time and resources spent to rectify the situation.

- "We just got home from a wonderful four days and three nights in The Cozy Midtown Apartment and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to San Antonio. It is just like staying in a friend's home without the friends. The apartment is exceptionally clean and well looked after. The Mid-Century Modern decor is just plain fun and the guitar in the corner on its stand (it is in tune) is a nice touch from home. The kitchen is very well equipped for whatever culinary extravaganza you might want to create and is furnished with lots of supplies. Same for the bathroom. There's a big screen TV with access to Netflix, HULU, Prime, and a whole raft of other specialist chanels. The Wi-Fi is unlimited so we could watch German TV channels on our I-pad and surf the entire I-net. Did I mention there are some interesting books on the bookshelf should one feel the urge to curl up with a compelling story? We didn't get to try the central heat as it was over 95 degrees outside most of our stay in S.A. but the A/C could turn it into January in Alaska inside if you wished. Our hostess, Celeste, although we never met face to face seemed to be on-line 24/7 for any question that came up. We didn't have many questions but within just a couple of minutes of asking we had the answers"

Stayed a few nights
We thought it was great value for money. Location is convenient to all things that we needed to access. The place was comfortable, cool, and had great spaces to spill out but still enjoy each other’s company. Thanks for everything, Rose and Fam!

What a cute and cozy cottage. The cottage was the perfect size for our party of 5. The decor and the added touches made it feel like home. We were close to so many fabulous restaurants. We frequented the Pearl quite a bit and had a few meals in the area. It’s only a 6 min drive or 25 min walk from the cottage and has access to the Riverwalk. We did a lot on this trip, including Sea World and Natural Bridge Caverns. I highly recommended this for your next stay in San Antonio. Rose was an amazing host!

Stayed with kids - It’s a beautiful home peaceful neighborhood with easy access to 35 close to downtown and the pearl. It was enough space for 2 adults and 2 teens. It had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

The house was beautiful, comfortable, had a great back yard for all kinds of activities and experiences, it was very close to JBSA so we could get on base with ease and shop at the PX and commissary. Being stationed in Texas it’s always nice to have gem like this to have a family getaway. The amenities were wonder, having a washer and dryer is a must with kids and this house provided all we needed and more. Truly this house helped make our experience exponentially better. It was a great price as well which is nice to have some breathing room with so many pricing military families out of their range, we will definitely be coming back to this house next time we return to San Antonio."

A small TV is also present with a firestick to login to your favorite streaming platforms.

A pack-n-play with crib mattress can be made available upon request.

A twin air mattress and extra bedding can also be made available upon request and a small $15 fee.

Guests will enter the building through the garage and find the door to their private suite to the right. Note, the garage is a shared space with the host.

The house will not be empty when rented. As your host, I am quiet and unobtrusive. I'm happy to chat in passing or sitting out on the patio with a beverage, but I'm also quite content to keep out of the way, however you'd be most comfortable.

Our home is in a chichi neighborhood of San Antonio, TX called Terrell Hills. The neighborhood is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our community is very safe, quiet and convenient (under 6 miles) to Ft. Sam Houston, the museums, The San Antonio Zoo, The Riverwalk, The Alamo and downtown San Antonio.

The space
Our home is very spacious. We have a large private back deck and rolling lawn where you and your four legged friend can romp about and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Access to the swimming pool is prohibited.

The room has a queen bed with European style bedding with plenty of extra pillows. There is a small desk and chair, bedside lamp, mini fridge, microwave, ceiling fan, full length mirror, free to air TV and fast reliable wi-fi. The private full bathroom(tub & shower) is located directly across the hallway from the room. There are towels, bath robes and slippers, hairdryer, iron and board, shoe horn, lint brush and any toiletry you could imagine all for the guest's sole use.

I work from home so if you need assistance or advice about your stay or the community you can contact me via the Airbnb app. or at home you can find me outside gardening or preparing a meal in the kitchen. My husband is a bit like a ghost because he works early in the morning and thus retires early but enjoys watching a bit of television after a big meal so you might catch a glimpse of him. We have 2 Boston terriers 6 and 9 years old who are extremely friendly that love greeting every new guest.

Super cute and comfortable cabana located in Historic Terrell Hills. Convenient location—within 15 minutes of SA airport, Downtown, the Pearl and Riverwalk.

The space
Cabana is completely detached from main house. Has its own private entrance gate from street. Two bedrooms each with a TV, and two full baths. Full kitchen with dishes, cookware, stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave and Keurig.

NOTE: THERE IS NO COMMON AREA WITH COUCHES, so if that is important for your stay, this cozy cabana may not be your best choice. :)

The space
My studio was built in 2020 and features new modern amenities, has a full size kitchen for those who enjoy cooking, a large yard, outdoor pet friendly trail where neighborhood dog walking starts just before 5pm . Studio is located directly behind my house and has two private entrances that you can access from the driveway.

Home sits in the beautiful community of Terrell Hills which is an ideal location for those coming in town to relax, vacation, military and college graduations, downtown river walk tours, museums, Historic Pearl, other events, you name it. Just a short distance to all you need.

Space is perfect for couples, solo adventurers or business travelers and available for long- term stays. There is a roll out chair that folds out to a twin size sleeper if you wish to bring a 3rd person or a child.

In addition, you have a comfy Novaform queen mattress, roll out chair, laptop table, 42 inch smart TV with free Live Hulu TV (which is just like having cable) free WiFi, full size kitchen w/ dining table for 4, full size fridge, walk in shower, walk in closet, bbq grill, washer and dryer…and much much more. All you will need for a joyous stay.

Unit #2 is the Studio. You can enter from the back door on the left side of the driveway, and there is another private entry through the side yard gate.

* Parking will be a large single space in the driveway off Edsel Parkway. Park next to the covered classic car.

* There is a fold out chair in the unit that can be used as a twin bed. It folds out with adjustment extensions to move up and down. Kind of like a lounging chair at the pool. It has 4 additional legs to support it as a bed. Two legs are in a zipper on the top part of chair and two are on the bottom sides. Unzip all zippers and pull the legs out. They snap into place. It is quite firm, so addition bedding to soften up is in closet.

Vintage 1950 House/Bungalow is completely remodeled and everything is new. Beautiful eat in Kitchen with everything you need to create a Tex-Mex meal. The back deck and yard is amazing and very private. Lots of fruit trees , veggies and herbs growing out there!
Large living room with a sun room/work space on one side and formal dining on the other. New Front Patio & rock garden is so beautiful and relaxing. Super fast fiber WiFi. Fire stick included for living room and bedroom TV's.
