Second bedroom with queen size bed, shares full bathroom with third bedroom which has a bunk bed.

The building is the former Comal County Courthouse which has been completely renovated into a very unique lodge. The lodge style is rustic yet elegant, with a modern flair. I probably would not have looked twice at this rental had I been driving by being that it is so unique and hidden but I am so glad we did. Several restaurants are within walking distance. The restaurant (Hatch Market) next door served the best waffle I've had my entire life. Vine in the Village, across the street has a cozy and relaxing ambiance with a great selection of wines. Evanna is a spectacular host! We had trouble getting the drain plug to stay down in the tub and when we couldn't find the rubber stopper in the rental, she went to Home Depot on a Saturday to purchase a new one for us so that we could fill the tub. Thank you, Evanna! We will definitely add this rental to our list of "weekend getaways"."

- "We had a family of 12 that stayed in the house. The house was very roomy for all of us, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our time that we spent at the home. There are quiet a few stairs.... two when you step down from the living room to the dining area, one step up to go to the downstairs bedroom and the rest of the rooms were upstairs. The stairs are not a problem for most individuals, but just be aware of them if you have older individuals traveling with you during your stay that may have some trouble with mobility. Anywhere we wanted to go shop or visit....wasn't anymore than 20 miles away. That was a great convenience for all of us. Veronica also directed us on where or how to purchase tickets to some of our destination for the day to get a cheaper rate. I do believe you will enjoy your time if you stay at a home hosted by Veronica."

The less good news is that the house was probably built in 1970 and not one thing has been updated since. Whatever your expectations for the house and yard are, lower them(a lot) and you’ll be fine.
