THE SPACE
Very safe and central location with a secured entry into the building (You cannot enter the building without a key fob or code) with easy access to all of Denver. Restaurants, parks, shopping and grocery stores are within walking distance as well as local public transportation plus bike paths. Amazing location to all of Denver and Aurora hospitals.
The apartment is on the 3rd story with no stairs involved.
The apartment has lots of closet space, but additional paid storage options are available.

- Guest Limit: Only the number of guests stated in your reservation is allowed to stay overnight at the property.

- Remove Shoes Indoors: Please remove your shoes inside the property to maintain cleanliness.

2. Property Care

- No Smoking Indoors: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Smoking is permitted outdoors at least 20 feet from the cabin. A fine of $300 will be applied if the guest is found in violation of this policy.

Pet Policy:

- No Cats Allowed: Please note that we do not cater cats in the property.

- No Unattended Pets: Do not leave dogs unattended in the cabin. Guests who leave pets unattended will be fined $300.

- Leash Requirement: Dogs must be leashed at all times to avoid disturbing neighbors and wildlife. Complaints may lead to eviction and forfeiture of remaining nights.

- Cleanliness: Please leave the property in the same condition as you found it. Dispose of trash in the designated bins.

- Report Issues: Immediately report any damages or issues to the host.

Think Western chic - you'll be stunned from the moment you walk in! You'll be walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and downtown Denver, and a short Uber to any of Denver's attractions.

THE SPACE:
With 6 proper bedrooms and 9 beds (plus a separate office space), this is one of the only vacation rentals in Denver that can comfortably accommodate larger groups. All living spaces are light-filled and above ground. Please note, however, that this home has 2 bathrooms (both fully remodeled), which some larger groups may find tight.

The kitchen opens into a large living room with a large Samsun Smart TV, with YouTube TV to access local channels, sports, and more.

The dining room is designed for entertaining with seating for 10 (plus 4 at the kitchen bar).

LOCATION:
All the Denver has to offer is within a short walk or Uber ride.

Within 1-2 blocks you'll find Steuben's, Ace Eat Serve (modern asian food + ping pong), Revival Public House (great spot for a burger and beer) and Marzcyk's Fine Foods (an excellent stop for groceries, prepared meals to go, and wines).

Within a 5-10 minute walk are even more Denver highlights: notable music venues The Fillmore and The Ogden Theater, The State Capitol, The Brown Palace, Hudson Hill (one of our favorite coffee shops), Voodoo Doughnuts and more.

Within 1-2 miles you'll be in LoDo, RiNo, 2 of Denver's best parks (City Park and Cheeseman), Ball Arena (Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche) and Coors Field (Colorado Rockies).

AMENITIES
-In front of the house you'll find a small porch and outdoor seating area for your enjoyment.

-Offstreet parking for 2-3 cars is available to guests behind the house at no charge.

GUEST ACCESS:
-We offer contactless check-in with a door code that will be provided before your stay begins.
-In the rear you'll have ample parking, with 2 side-by-side spots for your use (each which could fit another small car tandem, for a total of up to 4).
A tenant (who helps us manage the property) lives on the 3rd floor of the building in a separate unit w/ it's own entrance, and does not have access to your space on the first two floors of the home.

Other things to note
Big Red is a beautiful historic home refreshed with care for the modern world. A great place to gather with friends, connect with colleagues, or meet with loved ones. This is NOT a “party house” and any signs of unauthorized use in this regard will result in owners alerting local authorities & eviction.

- MAX GUESTS: No more than 12 guests on the property at any time unless pre-approved for a special event. Our on-site property manager will occasionally monitor and if notified we will charge the full security deposit due to violation of agreement.
- Noise Curfew: in order to respect our neighbors and property manager, please note there is a loud noise curfew of 10pm.

Getting Around:
You can take the train from the airport to Union Station and catch an Uber to our home. We are in walking distance to many great places. You don't need a car but we do recommend one to experience all of Denver.

THERE ARE NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ALLOWED.

We are a dog friendly rental. We charge a non-refundable pet fee of $100. You can select the pet option in the same area you select guest count. If you have missed it, please reach out to us to pay your pet fee. Please inquire about multiple pets and multiple month stays.

We require an additional $500 deposit for local guests that book. Please inquire for details.

CHILD PROOFING: Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any children/infants we allow on the property.

There is a neighborhood noise ordinance of 11:00 PM and ask that you please respect the neighbors. We ask that any socializing after 10:00 PM be done in the comforts of our spacious home and not outside.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
After confirming your booking, you'll receive a text to download our app, DACK. Using the app, you can request early check-ins and late check-outs for an additional fee. While we can't guarantee approval due to same-day check-ins and check-outs, we'll do our best to accommodate your requests when possible.

TRAVEL INSURANCE/CANCELLATIONS
We HIGHLY recommend buying travel insurance through your airline company, car rental company, or a travel insurance website. We cannot provide a refund for anything that falls outside of our cancellation policy and the dates that correspond with the policy. This includes date change requests as they are considered the same as cancellations (if the new requested check-in date is a later date than your original check-in date). We cannot provide a refund due to travel related issues or Covid, Please review your cancellation policy if you haven't already. This can be found under your reservation, directly through our listing, or through the website that you booked. In most cases (but not all), you have a minimum of 48 hours to cancel your reservation to receive a full refund. Many reservations may have a longer period for a full refund. Arrived late on Monday (11pm) but with some help from the hosts, got myself some excellent pizza and a cold beer or two to wash it down. Vibrant little hood just outside the downtown core and lots of neat spots to checkout. 10 minute walk to Republic Building, and around 20 down to the conference centre, with scooters everywhere if that’s your thing. Found the rooms very comfy, streaming services on the tv, coffee maker and fridge, and a super comfy bed after a long day out in the city. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a spot close to the action, but without those crazy downtown price tags! Hosts super responsive and helpful, and the dogs are very friendly too."

Ideally Located

This furnished apartment is located in Uptown, a hip Denver neighborhood that is also referred to as North Capitol Hill. The area is separated from Capitol Hill proper by Colfax St, a busy thoroughfare lined with bars, restaurants, and stores. Fill up on tuna at Poke Concept or dine with a date at Ace Eat Serve on East 17th St. There's also a Target just a few blocks west of the neighborhood where you can replace anything you forgot to pack. This is a fantastic location very close to both Downtown Denver and the Midtown hospital district, both quick and easy 10 to 20 minute walks away. My home is close enough to go quickly wherever you want, whether on foot, by bus, scooter, or rideshare.

I am located in the "Uptown" neighborhood, just east of downtown, in an old (1892) working-class Victorian home (not elegant, but roomy, with character, lots of light and high ceilings). The common rooms (living room, dining room and kitchen) are available for guest use. In the summer, an evaporative cooler and ceiling fans help keep the whole house cool. The small, fenced garden in back is a work in progress, with a small patio under the grape arbor, and the front porch is ideal for watching the world go by.

This room, the Queen Bed Room, is on the main floor of my home and can accommodates up to two adults. It is quiet, bright and airy, with a comfortable bed and a large, high closet. The room also comes with a chest of drawers, nightstand, mirror, a small desk and chair. Guests are welcome to use the common areas for work or entertainment.

I provide all bedding (sheets, blankets, covers), pillows and cases, towel sets, hair dryer, toilet paper and tissues, and hand soap. Guest should bring toiletries and bathrobe. Guest is responsible for laundering bedding and towels, and being vigilant against bringing in any kind of creepy crawling things. Laundry can be done on premises, but needs negotiating because shared. Otherwise, there is a laundromat nearby.

Chlorox or Lysol wipes are available to sanitize everything host and guest might touch or use, in room, bathroom, and common areas. If a new public health crisis emerges, MASK USE may be required once the prospective guest's activities and risk factors have been established, but will not be necessary in the privacy of the guest's room.

Amenities in my home include Wireless Internet/WiFi, a baby grand piano, fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room. Refrigerator space is limited in the kitchen, but a smaller refrigerator is available for guest use.

Nearby are 3 grocery stores, from the basic to the natural to the gourmet; a number of liquor and fine wine stores; multiple coffee shops and some Internet cafes; Denver's many beautiful parks, and numbers of great and some renowned restaurants and eateries for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner, and dessert. Churches, some beautiful and historical, abound, and many offer some of the most beautiful music and the most interesting services and dialogues around.

Entertainment venues too are close by, from Brew Pub Tours to the Denver Performing Arts Complex, movie theaters and world-renowned book stores, excellent museums of all kinds and sizes, including the Denver Art Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum, our wonderful Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and The Children's Museum. The gold-domed Colorado State Capitol, the Denver Public Library, the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Downtown Aquarium, and the ever-expanding Denver Zoo are easily reached. Most of these great amenities are within 2 to 3 miles of my home and can be easily accessed by foot or by bike, scooter or public transportation buses (the RTD). The sheer number of great hang-outs of every kind is really astonishing. Denver is truly a Great City!

My home is an easy walk to downtown or less than 5 minutes to bus or light rail transportation throughout the city. It is in a perfect location for a wide variety of Denver convention, dining, shopping, athletic, cultural, and entertainment experiences, for individuals and for families. You can avoid the high prices of Downtown, while enjoying all of its offerings just a few minutes away.

If parking is needed, it is on the street in front of my home, and is unrestricted for up to 72 hours with the use of my parking permit. If you drive your car and re-park, the 72 hours re-set.

There is very easy access to major highways through Colorado. Come for the brilliance of the Colorado blue sky and sunshine and all the amenities that Uptown and Downtown Denver have to offer!

This particular room, the King Bed Room, can accommodate two persons. It is my "Bolivia Room," decorated with authentic tapestries and posters/photos of Bolivian life. The room has one king-size bed, and is the largest and most comfortable room in my home. The bed is large enough to accommodate two full-size adults. The room comes with an optional $15 per night twin-size trundle bed, suitable for another adult or smaller person. Other furniture includes a chest of drawers, nightstand, roll-top desk, bookshelves, two tables for luggage, two chairs, and a closet, with other hooks or racks for hanging belongings.

This room is on the second floor of my home. The bathroom is immediately adjacent and it is shared with me and with the laundry room. A Caution: the stairs are very steep in this old Victorian, so care should be taken to hold the railing when using them. This room is lockable.

I provide all bed linens and covers, pillows, towel sets, hair dryer, tissues, shampoo and conditioner, body wash and soap.

There is a cleaning fee of $10 per room because of the need to sanitize everything a guest might touch or use, and to clean thoroughly before and after each guest's visit.

If I will be away for any significant amount of time, I will make sure that guests have a contact person should the need arise.

Because staying here requires a 30-night commitment, there are no taxes due on such extended stays.

If your flight is cancelled or you are held up by a storm or your plans change, I am not responsible. Unless the reservation is cancelled with a full week's notice, I will not be refunding the first night booked but not used. Depending on when the cancellation occurs, other nights' refunds may be forfeit as well. I am open to some negotiation, but since I depend on this income to meet my obligations, there's no way to get bookings at the last minute to compensate. Guests will enter the home through the front door using a code. They will walk through my living room to the door at the top of the stairs leading to the unit. The lockable unit is completely private and nearly 700 SQ feet!

Other things to note
Street parking is free with two-hour limits. I do have a parking permit guests may borrow while staying ($200 lost guest pass fee applies to lost or damaged pass).

This pass let's you avoid the two-hour limitation. Please read street parking signs carefully in Denver for street sweeping days. The pass doesn't avoid those tickets.

The unit is close to two different concert venues and lots of restaurants and bars. Parking can sometimes be challenging.

It's conveniently located in the heart of the Uptown neighborhood and is walking distance to local food favorites such as Steuben's, ACE Eat Serve, Park & Co, and Beast & Bottle. There is also a conveniently located gourmet market just down the street, Marzyk's Deli, which has any delicious foods you may need if staying for a bit.

We are a 420 Friendly State, and location, but we do not allow smoking or vaping in the condo. Please use the outdoor balcony and cafe table (discreetly) for any 420 indulgences.

I currently use the Amazon Firestick to watch television series and movies. Feel free to turn the TV on with the big remote (or on the side of the actual TV with the top button) and then press the middle circle on the smaller remote. I have access to apps such as Netflix and Hulu.

My home is a non-smoking environment. If you need to smoke, please do so outside and responsibly dispose of your cigarettes afterward.

Please feel free to park your vehicle on the street. It is 2 hour free parking Monday- Saturday from 8am- 6pm on 19th St, Pearl St, and Pennsylvania Ave. After 6pm, there is no time limit, as well as all day on Sundays.


The closest grocery store is the Marczyk’s Fine Foods located at 17th N Clarkson St. that is approximately 0.3 miles away. It is located at 770 E 17th Ave, Denver, CO 8203 (hours: 8A-8PM Mon-Sat; 10AM-6PM Sun). There are also a number of different shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Please let us know if you are searching for a specific type of store or restaurant, and I can point you in the right direction!

The apartment: divided into two bedrooms with attached baths and an open floor plan main room with living area, kitchen, and dining space. The outdoor balcony has a dining table and grill.

The tech: sound, lighting, and the Hatch are controlled via WiFi. You can stream to the speakers via Sonos or connect your Spotify, control the Hue lights with physical switches on the walls or play with 1M+ scenes on the Hue app, and set the Hatch timing and settings with their app. The projector is connected to an Xbox console which allows streaming across any content platform, or you can cast directly from your computer or phone. Press twice on the Hue wall switch for a full cinema experience!

Gym and office: on the second floor of the building is a fob-access gym, meeting room, and outdoor gathering space. The meeting room has free WiFi access provided by WifiHood, and it can be used as a second office if you need more space.

Parking: spaces 41 and 42 in the underground garage are conveniently ~20 feet from the elevator entrance. This matters a lot when we’re lugging ski and camping gear to our cars :)

Grant Park was constructed in 2005, making it a relatively new build for Denver where many buildings were constructed at the turn of the 20th century.

This charming townhome located in the Swallow Hill Historic District within Uptown is highly walkable, warm, inviting and cozy with all the amenities you need for comfort. We are situated just 10 minutes walk from the center of downtown and 1 block from the neighborhood's main business district (17th Avenue). There, you'll find plentiful cocktail bars, wine bars, breweries, restaurants and stores within a 5-10 minute walk. Gilded Age mansions pepper the neighborhood and are sure to captivate.

The space
The living space is a well-kept historic home dating to 1901. It is fully-furnished and has lovely touches such as the original fireplace and built-in hutch. The primary bedroom has a king bed and comes with a view of Denver's most iconic building (The Well's Fargo "Cash Register Building"). All rooms have natural light pouring in throughout the day and wood floors are present throughout the home. Since this is our primary home, the kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook up a storm (ie. pots/pans, spices, oils, etc.). There are two bathrooms, one featuring a clawfoot tub where you can relax or soak your feet after a long day of walking. The house also has a small office where you can tap into some work, if needed.

You have full access to the home. We ask that, if you use the washer/dryer in the basement, that you don't enter other sections of the basement. This is our storage area (first door to the right at bottom of basement stairs) and we'd prefer if people stayed out of that room.

Other things to note
The neighborhood typically has ample street parking, but can be busy on weekends if there are concerts (the Ogden Theater and Filmore Theater are both around the corner). Check the parking signs as each side of the street has different rules. Some are 2 hour and the side nearest our place is anytime, as long as it doesn't say otherwise.
