You will enjoy complete access to the Cabin and acres of wide open space. Sit on the porch with your favorite beverage or snack and splendor in the amazing sunsets for which the Cabin is so named. Your view will be framed by the Vermillion Cliffs of the Grand Escalante Staircase National Monument to the north and the Chocolate Cliffs to the south. Once the sun falls behind the cliffs to the west, you will be treated to a 360 degree sky full of stars and the entire Milky Way.

Getting around
Here, a car is required to access the many parks, sites and destinations that we have here in southern Utah. A high-clearance 4WD vehicle is recommended for off-road adventures to remote places in the Kaibab National Forest, Vermilion Cliffs or other wilderness areas.

I would recommend for anyone wanting privacy, but not so far from restaurants and shopping." - "Great place to stay. Clean, easy, convenient." - "This was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in terms of a little seclusion with wide open expanses of the horizon, yet a close drive to Kanab. We watched the sunset every night and the rocking chairs were a huge hit with my husband. The rental is situated with homes nearby yet far enough that you still have a lot of privacy. We traveled with our pets and as a pet friendly place, you would never know other pets have been in it. It was very clean. Although we enjoyed going in town for dinner each night, it had all the amenities you'd need if you preferred to eat at home. We really soaked in the quiet nights since we live in a city where noise pollution is over the top. We even booked an extra night while there because we didn't want to leave. Our only recommendation to travelers: while rental units can't satisfy every type of sleeper (soft vs firm mattresses) - if you're used to soft mattresses, travel with a small topper. However, this would not deter us in any way from going back to this rental. It was fantastic! And we can't wait to go back when it's not as cold so we can take in the fire pit and grilling outdoors! Last, communicating with the host - very responsive and fast to accommodate any of our needs. Top-notch!"

- "A lovely little "eco-stay" cabin, with a solar system, composting toilet, hand pump well, and a rainwater harvesting system. All things that were a delight! Stayed there with my wife, 8yo daughter, and dog, and was just enough space for us. We used it as a base camp to go visit the surrounding national parks, and was a great fit. Directions given were clear, and we found the cabin easily, despite it being relatively far off a paved road. Host was excellent, and made sure we had everything we needed. The new swamp-cooler was much appreciated (as it does get pretty hot in the summer, but that wasn't a surprise). Would recommend as the alternative to a boring hotel/motel option! -S"

- "Super clean, comfortable and convenient. Highly recommend." - "This vacation home was very easy to find and is in a great location to access most of the sites in the area. Kanab is a short less than 10 minute drive a way. There are a couple of decent grocery stores there to get anything you need. The State liquor store has a reasonable wine selection. You may want o bring your own alcohol though unless the major brands is your thing. Internet is very good so you can easily work from here or watch your steaming TV services if you want. The kitchen has most of the things you need to make your own meals. My personal benchmarks of a vacation home: 1 - water pressure is good so the showers were nice. 2 - bed and pillows were very good. 3 - seats in the living area were very comfortable. There is a trail (Mansard Trail) across the main road that takes you up to a cave with petroglyphs. This is a really nice walk but not dog friendly unless you can lift them above your head due to a little scramble about half way. It is easy to get up but just to high for a dog. Ryan was very easy to deal with. He was very prompt in answering questions and very detailed in the information he provided."

Enjoy the solitude of the Grande Staircase Escalante National Monument at the Paria River Ranch. We are located on Rt 89 right by Toad Stools, Nautilus, The Wave and Buckskin Gulch to, name a few. This rustic studio is the perfect place to hang your hat and put up your feet after a day on the ranch. 1 Queen bed, a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot plate, toaster, BBQ grill, outdoor sink and private patio with eating area. Sleeps 2. Bathrooms and Showers are next door at the bathhouse. The ranch is also a healing center and home for our rescue animals and horse campers who flock every year to explore the amazing trails, slot canyons and natural beauty of Southern Utah.

- "We loved our experience at Shash Diné and the best part was having a chance to discover the Diné (Navajo) culture and discuss with Paul & Baja. We slept in the traditional hogan made of dried mud which was understandably dusty but SO charming. As for the services, the outdoor washroom was clean and the navy shower was not so comfortable but we are aware that they almost finished building the shower house and this will be a game changer for this place. We look forward to staying again !!"

- "This property was flawless! When we first arrived our jaws dropped, the property is brand new. Gorgeous bathroom with tiled shower, couch with the tv on a mount that can swing out, and a loft with the bed and balcony with comfortable furniture for star gazing. The fire place was the perfect finish to a long day of hiking. The best part, it is only a 30 minute drive to the east entrance of Zion National Park! Just a short drive from town, all the restaurants are easily accessible, but the little kitchen is sufficiently appointed to prepare a meal to enjoy on the private patio.
