Our studio apartment, also known as a studio flat or efficiency apartment, is a self-contained living space consisting of one single large room that serves as the living, dining, and sleeping area, with a separate, private bathroom adjacent to the kitchen, which is partially separated from the bedroom.
Our studio is 300 square feet. The patio is 175 square feet.

Our studio is ideal for those seeking privacy and tranquility. Relax without the crowds and hassle of hotels. Our sunny first-floor studio features high ceilings, a full kitchen and a cozy ambiance. During warmer months, enjoy a meal sitting under an umbrella in your private, fenced-in, porcelain tile patio. ACCESS TO YOUR STUDIO
*Your first floor studio has no second floor above it, and no basement below it. There are no stairs. From the street where you park, it is a 100-foot walk along a concrete walkway to reach your studio.
*Your space is a completely private studio that is separate from the rest of our home. There is no access to your personal living quarters from the main part of our home. There is only one entrance to your studio through a walkway on the side of the house. The studio, which includes a fully equipped kitchen, large closet and private full bathroom, is in a secluded corner of the property, and the patio in front of the studio is for your personal use only.

SUSTAINABLE ECOFRIENDLY ACCOMODATIONS
Forty solar panels adorn our home's roofs, including some that can be viewed from the front of the property. All of our electrical appliances and outlets fully run from solar energy year-round. Excess kilowatt hours compiled during the summer months are utilized during cooler winter months.

We also encourage recycling and conservation of resources so that energy is not wasted.

Parties are prohibited. Staying overnight guests are not permitted to invite their friends and family to our home.

Laundry service for your personal clothing is NOT available on the premises. There are several local laundromats and dry cleaners in the neighborhood. They are listed in the Guest Guide.

Our Mediterranean Dream home sits along a tree-lined street in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Our tranquil community boasts neighbors from diverse backgrounds, many of whom are professionals from varied fields. Like a league of nations, our neighborhood is demographically and ethnically diverse. Children, adults and senior citizens frequently traverse the streets. Consequently, no matter where you're from, you'll feel like you belong in Valley Stream, and, as such, you'll experience travel as if you're a local, not a tourist.

There is plenty of free, safe parking in front of our home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Walk from your car directly onto the tree-lined path that leads to your private Mediterranean oasis.

- "I had a wonderful stay and experience at Cynthia’s beautifully kept home! It is well kept, clean, and includes all the basic amenities you would need and is just as in the pictures. The yard in the back is the cherry on top. She goes the extra mile and leaves a little welcome bag as well. The neighborhood is really lovely and located next to multiple food markets, grocery, and restaurants. The location is good for being close to Long Island and access to trains to head to the city as well. I would recommend to rent a car to travel about. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at this cozy place!"

Centrally located home -close to all- Come stay here and enjoy your stay if visiting for a while or on a business trip. Duplex style apartment located on the first floor and partial lower level of a house. Only couple blocks from the LIRR - West Hempstead station with a 45 minute train ride to NYC. Shopping Malls are only a 6 minute drive.

You will have access to the front porch, driveway and backyard.

I currently have long term tenants living on the second floor of the home and use the side entrance. They are a very sweet family and will not disturb. You may hear light footsteps occasionally coming from upstairs.

Front door access only with option of the side door to the backyard which is shared entrance with my long term tenants that live upstairs.

****Absolutely no parties and no pets. This is a non smoking home**** please respect our home.

Booking requests will not be accepted if booking for someone else.

Notification is required if there will be more than the guest amount on the reservation.

Please Remove Shoes when in the home. You can use your own house slippers or ones that have been provided in the home as well. I have light carpeted areas. Additional cleaning fee will be applied if there are stains. Thank you!

The space
Spacious 2nd floor apartment in a private house (NOT FULL HOUSE). Myself/family utilize the lower ground floor, occupied by 2 adults. Apartment 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms with total of 5 beds (includes bunk bed), bright spacious open floor includes living room/dining room/kitchen. There is a front porch/6 steps that gets you to the apartment, you would have your own private entrance during your stay, you will receive an code for the digital keypad prior to your stay along with much more check-in details. Once you enter home there are 4 steps up that gets you to the main floor or 4 steps down that would take you to laundry room/boiler room.

- Lakeview LIRR station approx 12-15 min walk / 3 min drive
- Lynbrook LIRR train station approx 12-15 drive (has much more trains accessible to get you to NYC)
- Beautiful state park (Hempstead State Park) 5 min drive / 20-25 min walk

Guests would have a private front entrance to use, and all indoor spaces are fully private for you. Only outdoor spaces are shared/public. My family members and/or other guests would be occupying a lower-level apartment but would not have any accessibility in your space.

Other things to note
Please be aware of posted quiet times (10 pm-7 pm). Adult supervision is always required for children when using any outdoor spaces (deck, pool, backyard). No lifeguards are ever available. Pool areas are enclosed with a fence with a gate and lock (lock access would be provided to confirmed guests). Only one vehicle parking space is allocated in the driveway, but plenty of street parking is available.

(Don't worry. We will NOT photograph or make a copy of your ID. We just want to confirm that YOU and YOUR GUESTS are the people who reserved our Airbnb. Not someone unknown to us.)

★ As I mentioned in my house rules & policies, if everyone is arriving at the same time, I can check everyone's ID at the door and let all of you in at the same time.

If everyone is arriving at different times, and you will be the one to let them in after I leave, I need their IDs to be sent to me before their arrival.
( I just need to see their FACE and NAME part only. You can hide everything else.)

If you don't want to send me that, I recommend everyone to check in at the same time! Otherwise, I CAN NOT LET YOU IN because I don't know who else is going to be in my house.

● Please DO NOT use this place for a meet-up spot or a gathering spot!

● Please DO NOT bring guests that we are not aware of. ONLY 6 maximum guests are allowed in the house, and anything more than that should be informed.

● DO NOT MOVE our furniture. DO NOT UNPLUG anything in the house. Everything has to stay the way it is.

● Please be respectful to our neighbors and DO NOT make loud noise outside.

● DO NOT smoke indoors or outdoors. We have smoke detectors everywhere on the property, and the alarm will ring immediately! I will have to charge you a smoke damage fee.

● Laundry is permitted to all guests from 11 am to 6 pm, TWO loads maximum. Please DO NOT use the machine after 6 PM.
Our Laundry Machine is connected to my phone via WiFi, and I will get the alert.

■■ I do not leave most (not all) cooking basics in the house because our previous guests cooked and left a BIG MESS in the kitchen.
They left BURNED-OUT FOOD in the PODS & GRILLS with grease for us to clean and scrub. My sink was clogged up with scramble eggs! Icing (frosting) smeared all over the counter and the wood floor.
I never want to go through that again !!!
That is why I only leave minimum cookware in the house.
Please understand that.
*NOTE*
I understand that some people are very responsible, respectful, clean, and know how to respect other people's homes.
That is why I leave some minimim cookware like saucepan and cutting board in the house.
* You are allowed to use saucepan to make homemade tea, soup, or hot water (even though there is a hot water maker in the house, some people might prefer to make that in the pod). Something easy to make, non-frying, not too greasy stuff in the kitchen.

● I do not leave Iron in the house for FIRE SAFETY Reasons! To maintain peace of mind regarding the protection of property from FIRE, it is necessary to eliminate the chances of fire. I don't know how responsible my guests are when it comes to using irons. I don't want someone to damage or burn any part of my property.
I am also afraid that someone may leave the house, not even knowing the iron is still plugged in and super hot.
*TO PREVENT all those worries and concerns, I do not leave Iron in the house.
However, if you really need one, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I may be able to lend you mine while I'm there or lend you a steamer just to be safer.

■ If we find out if any of these rules are not followed and respected, you will have to leave IMMEDIATELY! Booking ends at once!
