- "Our family had a nice, restful and relaxing vacation up at this beautiful house in the town of Jeffrey. We will definitely visit again!" - "We were up for a wedding. The house has tons of space and beds, incredible views of Mt. Monadnock, and every thing you will need. Unique vibe that we thoroughly enjoyed. This is the antithesis of the houses that have been bought and listed by companies .... "greige mimimalist" is how I'd describe those houses, and they can be great too. But this one has heart, is quirky and interesting, and charming in its own way. Owners are great to work with."

Enjoy sweeping views of Mount Monadnock with no visible neighbors while sitting around the fire pit until the stars fill the sky. Be warned, you might not want to leave.
The Adventure Cabin was built with logs cleared from the lot and pictures of the build process are hung above the writing desk. The original character of the logs, stone and pine boards is still apparent in the cabin, now accented with modern furniture and decor.
There is a wide selection of travel guides and maps to dream up your next adventure while you unwind at the cabin. Kick back and play cards or board games in the living room or retreat to the bedroom to watch Netflix. Hang around the fire pit and soak in the view.

If you choose to eat inside instead of the front porch, you will still have mountain views from the dining table. Step down from the living room into the bedroom, furnished with a 10" thick memory foam queen mattress, built-in dressers, a lounge chair and more mountain views.
The kitchen has a new electric range and fridge with plenty of room to store your haul from the many nearby breweries, Whether you make your coffee with the coffee maker, Keurig or French press, you can enjoy it on the enclosed porch with views of Mount Monadnock.
Off the kitchen, you will find the second big bedroom complete with 10" thick memory foam queen mattress, two nightstands with lamps, a smart tv and a small sitting area with original mid-century modern furniture left at the cabin, refinished with new cushions.
Our washer and dryer is currently out of service.
While a pack 'n play, highchair and a selection of kid's books is provided for our guests traveling with small children, the cabin is not fully baby proofed.

Beautiful waterfront home on Rockwood Pond in Fitzwilliam, NH. Over 160 feet of waterfront. Western facing with mountain views and the most amazing sunsets! Great location, only 15 mins to Mt. Monadnock, and close to MA and VT.
This is our families 50th year on the lake in a nearby home. Used only by family and close friends, we are now opening our home for guests to enjoy.
There are only 10 homes on the lake and our house is 1 mile down a private road. If you are looking for a wild lake scene with boats flying around and noisy nights, this is NOT it! It's rare to see a motorboat on the lake and jet skis are not allowed. There is no public access and only 2 homeowners have boats.
This lake is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing. On a sunny day, the huge 24x12 deck, yard, and beach will see sun from dawn to sunset. 2 kayaks and new stand-up paddle boards!
The 3 bedrooms include 2 with queen beds and 1 with two twin beds. There is also a couch with a pullout double bed and a cozy daybed.
Strong WiFi and desk for remote working, and 2 Smart TVs.
Heat and A/C can be powered by our brand-new mini split system for chilly mornings or warm evenings. You may find that you rarely need to use though as the 2 giant sliders and ceiling fans welcome a wonderful breeze off of the water.
The location is central to many activities. Swim, kayak, paddle board and fish on the lake or from our brand new dock. The position of the property makes for the longest summer days with the sun above you late into the evening. Enjoy incredible sunsets from the beach or deck!
There are also miles of hiking and biking trails are within walking distance of the house. The Monadnock Recreation Rail Trail is on the other side of the lake and a 5-10 minute bike ride from the house. Its a 14 mile flat gravel trail through nature that connects to the broader NH trail system.
Paddle board or Kayak to the middle of the lake for amazing view of Mount Monadnock!
Various attractions are very close by:
- Mount Monadnock: 14 min - The most climbed mountain in the USA!
- Little Monadnock: 10 mins - A great, easy hike nearby
- Rhododendron State Park: 5 mins
- Shopping in Rindge: 15 mins (State Liquor Store, Market Basket, Marshalls, Walmart, Hannafords...)
- Keene: 25 mins
- Only 25 miles to Vermont
- 90 mins from Boston (10 mins over MA border)
- "We had the best time at this lake house. It was a beautiful house, fully stocked with everything you would need. The location was private, peaceful, and quiet, exactly what we wanted. The owners were very kind and responded quickly. We highly recommend this house, and can't wait to go back again!!" - "End of the season getaway to get in some lake and fishing time. Rob was very attentive and the house was very welcoming. What we used as the master bedroom the bed was very comfy. The home had everything we needed for our stay. View is very nice, sunset right in the backyard. Was about to give up home on that bass hubby was looking for until literally his last cast of our stay on his last worm and boom there it was :) He left a happy guy. Thanks again for sharing your home."

- "We had such a lovely, relaxing stay—it truly felt like a peaceful escape. The home is completely private with no neighbors in sight, and the quiet pond (it feels more like a lake!) was perfect for morning coffee, kayaking, and unwinding. The house was incredibly well-stocked—everything from a full kitchen and bathrooms to games, kayaks, fishing pole, a fire pit, and grill. Inside or out, we had everything we needed. The deck deserves a shoutout: it’s huge, with a grill and covered dining area—perfect for relaxing, dinner, or entertaining. And having two full bathrooms was such a bonus for our group. The location is also great—close to multiple state parks and hiking trails. We loved getting outside during the day and coming back to such a peaceful home base. There’s even an adorable Airstream on the property that can be rented too—ideal for larger groups or families. It’s super cute and gives great flexibility for booking. One little thing we really appreciated: the AC! Coming from a home without it, we were grateful for how well it worked. And finally, Guy, the owner, was fantastic—super responsive and helpful. It’s clear he puts a lot of care into making sure guests have a great experience.Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for comfort, nature, and a true break from the everyday."

We purchased this lake home in fall 2023 which sits on over 1/2 acre of land and 100 feet of lakefront. We’ve painted every room and all furnishings are brand new with your comfort in mind.
There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths with an additional outdoor shower for the summer months. Covered hot tub with lake views is great year round and we do have kayaks available to help you explore.
This home is very kid friendly and walkable to an association beach and playground though also quiet and cozy enough for a couples or girls getaway! We do have a loft that doubles as a playroom or extra space to sleep.
We purchased this home to make memories with our kiddos and look forward to sharing so others can do the same!
If the home isn't enough there’s lots to do: Hiking nearby! Mt. Wachusett a quick drive. Bike trails etc!
- "We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the basics. One thing of note: there is only a countertop toaster oven, not a full size oven. There is a gas cooktop as well. If you plan to cook while there, that will be an important detail. This house has a great view from the living room. We stayed during some very hot days - approaching 90 degrees. There was no air conditioning in the house, but it was still quite comfortable. There seems to be a reliable lake breeze that keeps things cool. One thing to note if you do stay during warm months is that there is a rooster living nearby that crows early in the morning, and throughout the day. If your windows are open, you will hear him. The lake itself was very clean and quiet. There were motorized boats, but not many, and they all seemed adequately cautious to kayaks and paddleboarders on the lake. Melissa was easy to communicate with and accommodating. You should bring your own beach towels, they aren't provided. We enjoyed the hot tub. This is a great house for all ages, but would be an especially great house for a family with little ones, as there is a play loft set up for the under 10 crowd, and kid kayaks as well as adults."
