Located directly across the street from the great Connecticut River, Kelly’s Cottage is right on the main road that leads you through the town of Pittsburg (Route 3)
It’s easy to find and local stores and restaurants are all close by.

Please be aware that the house is literally right next to the main road so you will hear traffic noise, do not book knowing this and then leave a review about the location. There are neighbors on both sides next door. If you are looking for a private place in the woods, do not book this place.

You will be able to hear the calming sounds of the Connecticut River, which is just across the street (unfortunately, there is not an actual view of the river because there are trees bordering the river)

- "Went up for the weekend and this was a great little spot. The location was right between the two spots we were headed in Pittsburgh and Colebrook. The check-in was easy. The cabin was clean and the property was nice. Had a view of the Connecticut River. The only downfalls were that I thought I was paying for 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms with washer and dryer. However it was 3 beds (one bedroom, one loft) and one bath. It did have a washer and dryer but it had a note that it wasn’t for guest use so we didn’t use it. The living room had one couch and could have used another chair or something to sit on. We sat 3 on the couch and one sat in the loft or at the kitchen table when we turned on the tv while we waited for the rain to stop. We also weren’t as close to the ATV trail as we thought. If it were winter it was right on a snowmobile trail. I would definitely rent here again when we come up! Thanks!"

There is another rental on the same property so there is a shared path for access down to the lake. There is a shared dock and 200 ft. of shared shore frontage.
You will have full access to the right side of the 40 foot dock which has space for two boats and the 50 feet of shore frontage/beach area to the right of the dock (the right meaning when you are looking out to the lake from shore)
The lake water level is controlled by a company who uses the water for power so be aware that the lake water levels do fluctuate throughout the year. Sometimes the water level can be really high and sometimes it can be really low. The cove that the house is located in sometimes can be very shallow, so be mindful of the water depth when docking your boat.
Be advised the dock is put in the water around the second week in June and taken out during the second week in September. So, there is only a dock for use available from mid June to mid September.

I welcome *well behaved house trained* pets...if you plan to bring your pet(s), please let me know ahead of time and remember, it is YOUR responsibility to thoroughly clean up after YOUR pet(s).

- Also, all pet poops need to be cleaned up & disposed of properly.

The Pitt Stop Inn has a fully equipped kitchen, basic spices, linens and towels for (6) people. Provided is dish soap, laundry detergent, TP, paper towels and napkins. We also provide complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. We also maintain a supply of condiments, dry and canned goods . Guests are welcome to use anything that is in the refrigerator or pantry closet.

There is a washer and dryer on site.

Both bedrooms have flat screen TV's installed. Netflix included.

In the summer months, there are AC units in living room and bedrooms.

Campfire pit in back yard. Firewood is provided.

The Pitt Stop Inn is our vacation home and we do leave some personal belongings on site. The drawers for our personal belongings in the guest bedroom are marked. Guests are free to use any unmarked drawers. There is a dresser for guest use in the master bedroom. The garage is unavailable.

Other things to note
The house is non smoking. Please smoke outside and properly dispose of butts.

We are UNABLE to host those guests wishing to access Pittsburg's ATV trail system. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Regretfully we are unable to accomodate pets. This is our vacation home that we use ourselves and with our family. Due to allergies we can not have animals in the house. Thank you for understanding.

*We live 70 miles away. In the winter months before your arrival we will clear any snow as close to your visit as our schedule allows. If it snows between our prep and your arrival or during your stay, the driveway will be plowed but you'll have to shovel deck and steps into the house. In the winter be prepared to encounter conditions such as ice and potential slippery conditions in the driveway and on the decks.

* Our access to Trail 20 is granted to us by gracious landowners. We came close to losing it this year due to continued disrespect on an access trail that was not ours but owned by the same folks. We expect that our guests will stay only on the tracked trail from the house. If Trail 20 is closed by the snowmobile club, our trail is closed as well. If this happens, we will notify you. Riding in our yard is only permitted thru the back to the access trail and is marked by stakes. If these conditions are not followed, you will be asked to leave the property during your stay.

* In snowmobile season we understand that snow conditions can not be predicted. Please review our cancellation policy PRIOR to booking as we won't be offering refunds outside of that policy due to weather or snow conditions. Thank you for understanding.

During the Summer:
There is another rental on the same property so there is a shared path for access down to the lake. There is a shared dock and 200 ft. of shared shore frontage.
You will have full access to the right side of the 40 foot dock which has space for two boats and the 50 feet of shore frontage/beach area to the right of the dock (the right meaning when you are looking out to the lake from shore)
The lake water level is controlled by a company who uses the water for power so be aware that the lake water levels do fluctuate throughout the year. Sometimes the water level can be really high and sometimes it can be really low. The cove that the house is located in sometimes can be very shallow, so be mindful of the water depth when docking your boat.
Be advised the dock is put in the water around the second week in June and taken out during the second week in September. So, there is only a dock for use available from mid June to mid September.

I welcome *well behaved house trained* pets...if you plan to bring your pet(s), please let me know ahead of time and remember, it is YOUR responsibility to thoroughly clean up after YOUR pet(s).

The kitchen was installed in 2022 and we completed a loft with 2 twin beds in 2025. It should be noted that the basement is off limits to guests.

There is a spacious back yard. There are a couple teepees in the back yard, they are unsafe, please do not enter. We plan on getting rid of the teepees as soon as possible. We purchased the property in December of 2021. Like many folks, we are working full time and doing our best to make improvements at the cabin.

This place is in the woods. Wildlife including deer, bear, moose, coyote, mice, raccoons, stay free on the property. If you are having an issue with the wildlife, please contact us.

Winter guests - It is ABSOLUTELY necessary that you have all wheel or 4-wheel drive to access our private road. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the road. The road is plowed twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. If it snows all day there will be snow on the road at check in time. The cabin is easily accessible by snowmobile and is approximately a 10 minute trip from Young's Store if you check in during the day and would like to travel there by snowmobile. If this is your plan please let us know so we can give very detailed directions to make the turn easy for you to find!

Other things to note
We live in Vermont and are not able to assist you if your car goes off of the private road. For those circumstances we are very close to town and there are towing services available as guests at other cabin rentals also occasionally go off the road. We recommend only those prepared for North East winter conditions with vehicles that frequently travel steep dirt roads book our cabin in the winter. During the spring/summer/fall our cabin is appropriate for all drivers and visitors!

Camp Coös has direct access to ATV trails leading right to Ride The Wild trail system. You are able to utilize our neighborhood snowmobile trail to access the Pittsburg Ridge Runner's trail system.

There are many amenities at Camp Coös that keep our guests happy and returning year after year. Indoor and outdoor speakers, games, fire pit, custom corn hole/bean bag toss, and gas grill (available seasonly), games and books.

Camp Coös is fully stocked with cooking supplies and extra bedding and linens to make your stay perfect. We strive to be your perfect home away from home. Mini split to provide AC in the warmer months. Outdoor furniture on the deck to enjoy those summer nights. Our home has a full house stand by generator so ensure your visit goes uninterrupted. The open concept home allows for an amazing family vacation, with all rooms feeling private and quiet throughout the stay. The main level boosts a large spacious bathroom with large vanity for plenty of storage.

This home has been a unique staple in the Pittsburg community standing as an old Candy Store before being converted into a single family home. There is a slight slope to the driveway but many modifications have been made for ample parking and ease of access in the winter months.

Camp Coös is your next home away from home with beautiful sunsets from the deck, direct trail access, lake access a short walk away and privacy. You will not be disappointed by a stay with us. The home is centrally located a VERY short distance down a private road. Within 5 miles of Youngs General Store, 1840, The Buck Rub Pub, Full Send and Bear Rock Adventures.

Guest access
When renting with Camp Coös you will have access to the main floor of the home and loft. There is no access to the basement or the garage that is on the property. This beautiful home is located on 2+ private acres with a fire pit to the side of the home and a large deck overlooking the mountains and Lake Francis.

We do not allow family pets at this time. We do make exceptions for crated hunting dogs during bird season. Please contact us if you have a dog you would like to bring. Unauthorized dogs will forfeit entire security deposit. We do charge $50 per dog per stay for authorized dogs.

We do have a cameras looking at the front steps and one on the garage door. We also have a camera on the back of the house facing a snow stick in the winter to monitor snow depth as well as the generator. There is a ring camera on the main door to monitor the steps. These cameras are on and only to used to protect the house when guest are not present. The camera on the stairs is the only one capable to two way audio, but this is turned off. There are NO cameras inside the home.

Other things to note
By booking this property you agree to a harmless waiver. Loft, loft ladder and bunk beds should be used at own risk. The drive way does have a an incline to it and proper shoe wear is encouraged.

BBQ grille, outdoor games and outdoor furniture subject to season; put away for winter to avoid damage from the snow..

We do have 2 PURA devices that run a couple hours on a low setting at night as air fresheners. There is an air purifying also present in the living room.

Please take your trash at check out. Trash left on property subject to $50 trash fee. Excessive trash subject to $100 or more. Recycling dump available to renters located on Back Lake Road.

We strongly advise toward trip insurance when booking your stay.

Our base rate is for 2 guest. There is an additional fee for guests nightly over the base rate of 2.

The location of this charming and private cabin is perfect for your Pittsburg getaway. Located on a short dead end road you will immediately absorb the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful lake front scenery with just under 100' of frontage. This cabin has both ATV and snowmobile access without the need to trailer from the property. The boat launch is conveniently located 1/8 of a mile away and the local beach is a short paddle across the lake using the provided canoe and kayaks.

This rustic cabin is decorated with the outdoors enthusiast in mind. The first room is furnished with a queen bed while the second room has two twin beds. Additional guests will enjoy the full sized pull out couch located in the living room. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you will need to prepare your getaway feasts or just enjoy some local take out at the kitchen table with friends / family.
