The "breakfast balcony" has an infared sauna and outdoor shower as well as Kolkol wood fired hot tub. Bar/ entertainment area with pool table leads through large stacker door onto a swimming pool built into the deck on the middle floor - Afternoon deck. The house has an open plan kitcken/ lounge/ dining area and entertainment area, this is a large space. There is an indoor braai and outdoor gas bbq. There is a seperate scullery/ pantry with dishwasher and washing machine.There are 3 bedrooms on the middle floor. A bathroom with slipper bath an shower service these 3 bedrooms. There are 2 guest loo s on this floor. Upstairs is a "honeymoon suite" style main bedroom with large bedroom leading onto balcony with lagoon views with a jacuzzi bath. The bedroom leads onto a walk in dressing room with a large en suite bathroom off of that which has double shower and slipper bath. The house is on the island about 250m from the lagoon and close walking distance from the world famous Wild oats market. Domestic worker 3 x a week is included. Available 8 December to 18 January. Minimum 20 nights Please be aware there are 2 sets of stairs so not ideal for disabled or elderly people.

- "This is a super house to rent for a summer holiday with a big group - spacious, open plan, pretty garden, two patios, the kids had a ball in the solar-heated pool. The house has quirky decoration and lots of interesting touches, there was plenty of bed linen and towels to use and a well equipped kitchen, including a Breville coffee machine. The location is great, 5 mins drive to Swartvlei beach, a similar distance to the lagoon, 10 mins to Myoli Beach, 2kms to the village (supermarket, cafes, restaurants). Tamara was a thoughtful, responsive hostess who dealt promptly with the various issues that arose while we stayed (broken freezer and kettle, blown fusebox). Her domestic worker was also a pleasure to have around and kept the property clean and tidy. There were a few drawbacks to the house: - there wasn't enough hot water for all 8 of us to have a shower at the same time of the day so if we all got back from the beach in the evening, we couldn't all have a hot shower to clean off - there was no tumble drier which, at the seaside with lots of wet towels and humid air, is a real drawback - insufficient crockery for the number of people in the house so we had to keep handwashing plates - the dishwasher was not very effective, the cutlery basket was broken and the large dinner plates didn't fit in so needed to be handwashed "

The Great White holiday home in Sedgefield is a beach house ideal for a small family. It's an open planned double storey home, and it's situated near to the beach.

Inside the house it has three bedrooms. Each room has a double bed, with two rooms being en-suite and the downstairs room using the bathroom near to the lounge area.

The open planned living space is downstairs with kitchen / dining area / lounge all blending into one. It's great for three couples, or a family breakaway

The feel of the space is bright and airy. The kitchen is equipped with all the white goods needed to enjoy your holiday and has a laundry room off of it with washing machine and dryer.

The deck to the rear of the property has a portable Weber braai and white plastic furniture. The views of the back garden look up to the dune in the distance.

There are great sunset views from the upstairs lookout deck. and the house is close to family-friendly activities at the lagoon or beach. It's also a short walk or drive to the local pizza / sushi / restaurants and local shops.

We are centrally situated in the Garden Route: 25 km from Knysna, 35 km from George. The house is close to Sedgefield beaches (Myoli Beach and Swartvlei Estuary). Frisgewaagd Guest Quarters is good for couples; we love children and pets, but since the garden does not have a safe play area we cannot accommodate them. The guest room is spacious, with a small kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, induction cooker) and lounge area. Guest quarters have a private (separate) entry.

Our place is close to the beach and village of Sedgefield, which are both within easy walking distance from the house. Sedgefield is located in the heart of the Garden Route near Knysna and George where an airport is located. You’ll love our place because of the views into the garden and the sounds of bird and frog song. There are views of the sea and Gericke's Point from the garden.
We have back-up power in case of load shedding.

The apartment consists of a private bedroom with En-suite bathroom (Shower), lounge/kitchenette and separate toilet and has its own entrance. It is separated from rest of the house by a locked interleading door.

There is secure parking in the driveway in which to safely park your car.

As we have dogs, gates should be kept closed at all times and care taken not to let them out please. No feeding of dogs.

The apartment is above our garage and we have the benefit of solar power. We're about 2-4km from shops and restaurants, beach and family-friendly activities like the famous Saturday morning markets. We offer good beds, peace and quiet, kayaking, (a 2man kayak available), natural surroundings central to the Garden Route, only a 20 minute drive to Knysna, which is half way to Plettenberg Bay. Also 15 minutes to Wilderness Village, 40 minutes to George airport and about an hour to Oudtshoorn

The space
Although attached to our main living house, the 2 bedroom guest suite is private and has it's own entrance accessed along a pathway next to the garage.
There is not a full kitchen, but enough for basic meal preparation: a decent sized fridge, an induction cooking plate (with frying pan and saucepan), convection oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, crockery and cutlery. There is also a fireplace available for outdoor cooking. Or enjoy the good local restaurants!

Guests will receive a remote control for the main gate with their entrance key, as well as a place to park a car.
