When we got to the resort Lloyd greeted us and was just lovely. Everyday we saw him he really seemed to care that we were having a great experience as did everyone else including the drivers they hired to take us in our excursions. I will say I jinxed us by asking Karen how she arranged for such perfect weather the day before we left. As a result that night, the festivities got rained out and it rained all of the next day. But such is the Caribbean during hurricane season. The facility nonetheless tried to make our experience fantastic, even in the few hours we had to wait before going to the airport. I will definitely be back. "

- "This was a great resort. Rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed in a bay view room, and I recommend spending the few extra bucks to have one of these views bc it’s amazing. We met people at the pool with garden view and they said it was pretty but wished they had gone for bay view. There are plenty of restaurant options. It was also pretty quiet. The pools close at 6pm, and while you’re allowed to go in after there are not towels available (and we did ask the concierge how we could get towels and she said she would call it in but we wound up not getting towels after our night swim). Since the pool closes then, almost everyone heads out and goes to dinner or whatever their night entertainment is and it’s very peaceful sitting on your balcony in the evening. They took care of our transportation and we setup offsite excursions they helped us book and get transportation for. I’ll stay at this resort any time I go back to St. Lucia. Notes for travelers (these didn’t bother us but awareness for others who may have mobility issues): there are not elevators, so the pictures you see with the stairs is how you access your rooms. The stairs are wooden and there were two wobbly steps on the way to the room we stayed in. If you have mobility issues where climbing stairs is a problem, you would want to ensure you let the resort know so they can help you with booking the appropriate room as there are some rooms where you don’t have to go up flights of stairs and you’ll still have views. "

Spacious rooms (wide and tall), with perfect and quiet AC, amazing bedding, spacious bathroom and veranda. Super clean with zero mustiness that is so typical of some Caribbean resorts. I can't believe the resort is able to pull off such luxury accommodations in a hot, tropical climate. Very private property with lots of available seating in the common pool areas. I've never enjoyed the room experience in a beach resort as much as at Cap Maison and don't think I can replicate this experience in future beach vacations. Wish every hotel offered such exceptional accommodations. "

While it’s an older facility the grounds are well kept with lush landscape and a wonderful mile Long Beach right on the ocean side of the island. Lots to do at Coconut Bay! Great restaurants, great variety of activities daily and themed dinner events throughout the week. The Caribbean night offers amazing food and entertainment, as does the Country Western night. Vernon instructs a great aqua exercise class in the main pool! All the bartenders and staff are very friendly and helpful. Our daily housekeepers Casey and Rose went above and beyond to make sure our room was well attended to. The room has a coffe pot and mini fridge that are stocked with coffee fixings, water, soft drinks and Piton beers. Perfect! We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return. We even took a private island tour one day to see the mud baths and drive through volcano. So much beauty on Saint Lucia!"

They take care of all your reservations, anything needed in or with your room, and they even will bring you drinks/food while you are lounging by the pool or beach. The Diamond Club gives you access to the Grazie restaurant for breakfast and lunch too. We enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and the resort never seemed overcrowded. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable every evening. The individuals selling items on the beach and selling excursions were never pushy. A simple no thanks and they were on their way. The view from our room was incredible. I would say if you can afford it, go for room 5501. I believe all rooms on 2nd floor or higher probably have an ocean view. It appeared on the ground floor rooms were swimouts, but probably sacrificed ocean view. My GF and I are not foodies so take this with a grain of salt, but we really enjoyed the food. Almost every fish we tried was really good, even in the buffet. The portion size at Calypso seemed extremely small but you can order more than one dish I believe. Zen was a fun experience which is the hibatchi grill. Drinks were decent. "

The hotel is limited with fun or activity mmenties as in no tennis courts or pool table area etc but their private becah is spectacular but not sure if the Management is aware that their hotel property beach area gets encroached by private beach chair rentals who started asking me an my wife for rent even though we confronted them that we are sitting on a chair in our beach property. Also another thing all visitors need to be aware of is the price goughing that happens in the name of taxi and buses provided by the Hotel even though the hotel has its own taxi stand the taxi drivers along with the help of hotel staff have a racquet where they will ask you 1.5 times and during Friday night street party they were asking 2 times the cost than what all other taxi drivers in the area charge . So google for outside transportation first and ask the rates around before using hotel transportation. Hotel excursion staff is brilliant and the SPA needs a definite upgrade. With all the issues listed I still give this Hotel a 5 star for the rooms, cleanliness and its food."

- "Anse Chastnet was an experience like no other we have had. Our first day there I was a little put out by how hot the non air conditioned rooms were. The excellent and very personable staff was quick to accommodate us and brought a few extra fans to our room which really cooled it off nicely. I want to describe the stay as a very pampered camping trip but that may turn a few people away. The resort was top of the line and the employees wait on you and foot. Anything you need they will get for you asap. All on site restaurants are of the highest quality and the food, especially the breakfast, was phenomenal. If you stay here it’s a must to go all inclusive. The meals are pretty pricey and going all inclusive will actually save you a lot of money. Breakfast and lunch for 2 will run you about $40-70 US and dinner with wine can be anywhere from $100-200 US. If you go make sure you bring some extra cash for excursions as being on the south side of the island offers more site seeing options than you can fit into a two week stay. The water taxis are a great way to get around and see the sites. They can take you snorkeling, hiking in the mountains, or just for a nice scenic boat ride. One of the best water taxis we found was a fellow named Simon who runs the Giddy Up tours water taxi. If you meet him tell him Josh & Angie from Atlanta sent you to him. He gave us a wonderful tour of Soulfrie, 2 waterfalls among other trips. Make sure you snorkel the Fairy Land reef."

We were upgraded to the three bedroom Lime Mill, which was absolutely fabulous. We had an amazing view of the Petit Piton, with a great pool and great outdoor space to relax in. Each bedroom was separately air conditioned, but the shared spaces were not. This villa came with a small kitchen and fridge, but we didn't use this facility in the end. The outdoor showers were a bit of a novelty, but worked well. We loved the breakfasts, the included menu was more than sufficient for us with a great choice of options. We had several lunches and/or dinners at the restaurant too, and these were also really good. Staff were great overall, although there were a couple of slip ups with the wine service, but quickly sorted. Check-in and parking was very easy, just be aware the driveway is only a single car road with passing places. Google can catch you out, and it's best to put the Mango Tree restaurant into your sat nav so you end up in the right place. Location is amazing with not only the views, but lots of things to do right on your doorstep. You are effectively in a villa in the forest, so you will see small lizards around. We were lucky enough to see a hummingbird, and there's lots of birds around. We came prepared for mosquitos so no problems there. Do bring bug spray, although we needed it at all hotels on our trip. The sunsets are superb too!"

So come early :) We did once go early and reserved a really nice spot at the beach but a girl and her mom occupied it before we got there while we were changing into our swim suits :( The buffet (Bayside Restaurant) during breakfast and lunch has a lot of birds standing by waiting for someone to leave for them to start scavenging. It was a bit of a turn off but not sure if there is anything that anyone can do about that! We went during September (23-29) and the weather was still lovely, we did get showers every now and then but still got a lot of sun! It was actually nice to have some overcast periods as the temperature without the sun is already warm!"

- "Luv this place, just got back last week and stayed in the new One Bedroom Suites, what a view. The food was outstanding, ate at Morgan's Pier and had fresh tuna, best I have had. The waves were a little high but we were able to kayak and just relax by the pool. We worked out every morning and then did breakfast which was a choice of local food or pancakes, eggs any way you want, fresh fruit and even some British style foods. The staff were always pleasant and accommodating and we had a great time shopping in the market in Castries as well. We plan to go back next year."

Best time of the year to visit. Weeks 49 and 50 is the first and second week of December from Sunday to Sunday. The villa has one of the best views in Windjammer with privacy galore. It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath. It is newly renovated with new kitchen, bath, fresh paint and new furniture with a sofa bed in a large living room. It sleeps 4 people. St. Lucia is the perfect place to get away for a never to forget vacation. Beautiful 4 pools. All inclusive is available for those who love to eat out or cook with a full size refrigerator, stove and microwave. Eat out on the Veranda overlooking a gorgeous view or soak in the plunge pool. This unit is private by being the top unit on the hill top. There are vans to take you up and down all day and evening. There is entertainment every evening with music. INQUIRE TODAY!!
