- "This was a great resort. Rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed in a bay view room, and I recommend spending the few extra bucks to have one of these views bc it’s amazing. We met people at the pool with garden view and they said it was pretty but wished they had gone for bay view. There are plenty of restaurant options. It was also pretty quiet. The pools close at 6pm, and while you’re allowed to go in after there are not towels available (and we did ask the concierge how we could get towels and she said she would call it in but we wound up not getting towels after our night swim). Since the pool closes then, almost everyone heads out and goes to dinner or whatever their night entertainment is and it’s very peaceful sitting on your balcony in the evening. They took care of our transportation and we setup offsite excursions they helped us book and get transportation for. I’ll stay at this resort any time I go back to St. Lucia. Notes for travelers (these didn’t bother us but awareness for others who may have mobility issues): there are not elevators, so the pictures you see with the stairs is how you access your rooms. The stairs are wooden and there were two wobbly steps on the way to the room we stayed in. If you have mobility issues where climbing stairs is a problem, you would want to ensure you let the resort know so they can help you with booking the appropriate room as there are some rooms where you don’t have to go up flights of stairs and you’ll still have views. Our daily housekeepers Casey and Rose went above and beyond to make sure our room was well attended to. The room has a coffe pot and mini fridge that are stocked with coffee fixings, water, soft drinks and Piton beers. Perfect! We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return. We even took a private island tour one day to see the mud baths and drive through volcano. So much beauty on Saint Lucia!"

We did the Diamond Club and the pool for that one is so-s0 but it is nice and secluded. Speaking of the Diamond Club, my GF and I believe it was worth it. Our butlers were Darnell and Kaysha and they were both extremely friendly. They take care of all your reservations, anything needed in or with your room, and they even will bring you drinks/food while you are lounging by the pool or beach. The Diamond Club gives you access to the Grazie restaurant for breakfast and lunch too. We enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and the resort never seemed overcrowded. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable every evening. The individuals selling items on the beach and selling excursions were never pushy. A simple no thanks and they were on their way. The view from our room was incredible. I would say if you can afford it, go for room 5501. I believe all rooms on 2nd floor or higher probably have an ocean view. It appeared on the ground floor rooms were swimouts, but probably sacrificed ocean view. My GF and I are not foodies so take this with a grain of salt, but we really enjoyed the food. Almost every fish we tried was really good, even in the buffet. The portion size at Calypso seemed extremely small but you can order more than one dish I believe. Zen was a fun experience which is the hibatchi grill. Drinks were decent. "

The staff came into our room to clean 2-3 times a day, every time we entered our room it was cleaned and the bed was made! The only thing I would change is to have more shaded areas (i.e. a lot of chairs by the pool or beach didn't have any shade covering at all), it would be nice if there was an option for the guest to choose whether or not they want to have the umbrella up or down. A couple of notes for future goers: Seats get taken up early in the morning for the beach and the main pool! So come early :) We did once go early and reserved a really nice spot at the beach but a girl and her mom occupied it before we got there while we were changing into our swim suits :( The buffet (Bayside Restaurant) during breakfast and lunch has a lot of birds standing by waiting for someone to leave for them to start scavenging. It was a bit of a turn off but not sure if there is anything that anyone can do about that! We went during September (23-29) and the weather was still lovely, we did get showers every now and then but still got a lot of sun! It was actually nice to have some overcast periods as the temperature without the sun is already warm!"
